What do you mean?
Sir this is ozbargain, where the top voted comments are the same predictable jokes….or some snarky comment putting down OPs
banger price, love mine
I agree that this is a great price and the monitor is crystal clear, a really worthwhile upgrade from my 14 year old BenQ 1080p monitor. However, it's slower than my 14 year old monitor!!! It takes forever to turn on (11 seconds!!!!), forever alt tab in/out of a full screen game (5 seconds!!!) that usually takes 1.5 seconds on my BenQ 1080p. A few months in, it also started randomly going on the frizz resulting in weird bright lines. This stops after a few hours and has only happened twice so I haven't been able to get a warranty claim on it yet. So if you're ultra patient and don't need to turn your monitor on/off or alt tab out of full screen games then I guess it's a great buy since you can write it off under tax right away.
Are you sure this isn't being caused by your video card?
Wish this sucker was 32"
Ah 31.5.. nearly made it
I always round up.
Which sucker?
Great monitor. Highly recommended. Be aware that there are two versions RGB and BGR. The LG panel is RGB (preferred). The BOE panel is BGR. You can't choose. It's the luck of the draw.
I have a gigabyte m27q with bgr.
It's fine and you get used to it. But it absolutely does affect some text clarity to a small degree. It doesn't matter much for games etc at all. But for work docs etc it can do.
Can't you configure the subpixel layout for text rendering? Or is there still clarity issues even with the right settings?
Still isn't perfect. Windows clear type helps a lot, but if you're using a Mac for example (as I was, for a long time it was my dual purpose wfh and gaming monitor) it can't be fixed on MacOS.
Also cleartype isn't really OS wide, some applications override it (chrome? Might be an example it's been ages since I've looked at it, as I'm quite used to it now)
how to know which one I got ?
The label on the side of the box will show an "L" or "B" as the Revision.
Rev: L… (e.g., Rev: L0IT1121): Indicates an LG panel.
Rev: B… (e.g., Rev: B0BT1121): Indicates a BOE panel.thanks.. checked I have B0B … is that bad?
whats the difference ?
I'm in the market for a second monitor (budget 1440p) which I'll be using for work, so text clarity is important to me. I'm unsure whether I should take the gamble with this monitor and potentially end up with the BOE panel. I'm also looking at the ASUS TUF Gaming VG27AQ1A and MSI MAG 275QF but can't find info on their panel type and whether they're RGB or BGR. Would anyone happen to know?
Google AI results when asked:
- who manufactures ASUS TUF monitors panels
ASUS TUF monitors, especially those with OLED panels, utilize panels from LG Display and Samsung Display.
I have the ASUS TUF Gaming VG27AQ1A … its a 10bit panel.. (8bit+FRC) No idea who makes it.. the stand doesn't go up or down but the image quality itself is pretty good for office work :)
Thanks for the info. I'll steer clear.
I ordered the 31.5'' yesterday, it got delivered this morning, talk bout fast delivery, even amazon deliver mostly at end of next day.
Do you think this would go good as a second monitor with my 32" Gigabyte M32U 4K? Been looking for a second monitor for a while and I don't think I need it to be 4K, but will it look strange next to a 4K screen?
I would at least go with the 32" HP linked a few comments above if you can fit it, so they are about the same size physically.
That’s not a bad idea, thank you.
You are a gentleman and a scholar!
Any good for running my ps5 on for gaming?
I would assume so, its got hdmi 2.1 and its over 144hz, should do you well
edit: i've checked their website and it seems to be 2.0, but you could always get a displayport adapter
Just got my 32q delivered today from the deal the other day, nice monitors, sadly a row of lit red pixels. hoping that these being through their ebay store doesn't make warranty an issue.
and WOW, submitted report of issue to them, called me within the hour to arrange return and replacement. Must say I am impressed with their service.
That’s encouraging!
trying this after having a benq xl2730 and gigabyte m27q both develop issues within 3 years of purchase
My M27Q is still running strong. Bought the HP 32 and running the M27Q vertical now next to it.
HEAVY use too.it's developed strange artifacting along the bottom for me unfortunately
Would this be a small bump up in quality compared to my Asus VG27A? If not what else you suggest considering I can't go bigger than 27" and I am running a 4070 ventus? Cheers
They are so similar just stick with your Asus.
Thanks OP, in the market for a new montior so this will go very nicely.
Cheers for this, I was waiting for a well priced IPS 27" QHD, my old one got weird screen tears sometimes, and my replacement one I bought was HD, I didn't realise it'd be so annoying for my QHD Ultrawide.
Other than size / resolution / hz, is this a major colour and quality difference from my old Dell U2410?
Quite a big difference in colour on paper but meh whatever. Everything else makes it a well worthy upgrade for you.

Thanks OP ordered. I had Ktc 27 on order but cancelled that with Amazon straight away when I saw this. Cheers
Thanks OP!
