It is 6:07 now, you was post 14 minus ago, which is 5:57.
Dicksmith live deal was start and end on 6 pm.
The deal you posted has already expire, it was yesterday's deal, today's deal is telstra prepaid wifi bundle
how can a deal 'start and end' at the same time? pretty much means that it never was a deal
come one, stop the wording game, everyone knows end second day (i.e 24 hours later).
And for those who interest in the Kindle deal, it still available via direct link: http://dicksmith.com.au/product/A3509/kindle-wifi-6-quot-e-i…
It's still valid for a few hours in Western Australian stores
"clever Dick" :)
Didn't read the fine print, apologies.
And for some strange reason, it's still showing up when I go to the website whilst the Telstra prepaid WiFi bundle isn't showing up for me.
im confused by all the variou kindle offers and different versions:
$119 - this says for 1400 books

$119 (save $20) - this saves can store 3500 books

http://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/91849 - Kindle paper white - I assume this is the latest version?
The first one's the "Kindle WiFI" - basic model, no touch screen: http://www.amazon.com/Kindle-Ereader-ebook-reader/dp/B007HCC…
I'm pretty sure the second one is the "Kindle Touch" - much the same, but with a touchscreen; recently discontinued.
The Paperwhite is the latest model - touchscreen, and fancy hi-tech lighting built-in so you can read in the dark.
As for the number of books they hold, you don't need to hold many. If you're reading books bought from Amazon, you can download any that you own for free over any WiFi connection. If you're reading books not from Amazon, you can just copy them over via USB cable. You only really need enough on-board storage to hold the books you have to be able to access right away; anything else can wait until you can get to a WiFi-enabled cafe/club/McDonalds/etc.
thanks buddy
Actually they are both the same model, ie non-touch.
The touch one is available at Big W for $185

Update… Think I'll go with the kindle paperwhite for $145 (http://www.dwidigitalcameras.com.au/astore/Amazon-Kindle-Pap…)
Or I will see if dick smith or someone I am more familiar with will price match
Free delivery too unlike a few other websites (to me / metro at least)
Bizzarely, what looks like the silver version of the same Kindle Wi-Fi 6" is selling for $99

The black version has gone back up to $119 since the daily deal has ended.

For some reason, it didn't display for me when I went to the linked page.
It was visible in search though, so here's the direct link.
