[Prime] Free 7-Day Channel Trial Subscriptions e.g. Apple TV+, Paramount+ ($12.99, $10.99 per Month Ongoing) @ Prime Video

100

since this Free 3 Days of AppleTV+ deal was quite popular.

just saw a few days before that AppleTV+ has been added as a sub option through PrimeVideo, so you can get a free 7 Days Trial if you are on Amazon Prime this month.

maybe you didn't get to watch everything you planned with the Free 3 Days deal linked above. I watched two movies and forgot about the last day.

regarding Ads, I have never gotten an ad when watching a sub through PrimeVideo. also fyi, the browsing system when subbing through PrimeVideo is pretty crappy at least when I did it before you werent able to "search" in a sub. I had more luck using the PrimeVideo general search box which shows you all results (including subs), but that's because I knew that movie would be on the sub (justwatch au).

also some more info I recently learned. these 7 day free trials are recurring. makes sense to me now why they are only 7 days. it takes awhile and I only sub to Prime a few months a year so that might have something to do with it as well, but roughly a year later I got another Free 7 day trial for two subs I already used my Free trial with.

if I had to guess how many times recurring I would probably say 4 times to add up to the usual 1 month free trial subs offer.

Is it a bargain that you can now subscribe to a streaming service using another streaming service?

It's the same price and same 7 day trial going directly to the Apple TV site.

    • I'd like to know if you can subscribe to Prime Video through Apple TV+ and make it recursive.

    • I put it in the post but people seemed very happy with a measly 3 day trial https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/886926 including me I watched during that weekend.

some people aren't able to get recurring free trial of AppleTV+ either because they claimed the free 1-3 months from $$$ Apple Giftcard purchase (Appstore popup offers it to you when you add it to your Apple balance) or clicked through a link here on ozb to claim a free month.

I wrote $$$ because I purchased $200 GC recently and it offered it to me. not sure if it works on smaller amount GCs.

you can now subscribe to a streaming service using another streaming service?

tbf I'm only on Prime 3 to 4 months a year so if I wasn't on Prime this month, then this wouldn't be a deal for me either.

    • Aren't you also giving your Apple ID login to Amazon? I've never signed up to another service through Prime so I don't know the specifics but I would think this is a bad thing? i look past the convenience and ask what can they do with the information I give them?

      • They already know it

      • I don't know about the AppleTV+ through amazon specifically.

but all others I have done like MGM, AMC etc you can just start the free trial in the Primevideo app and tap through and start watching with no account creation required.

then you manage the sub on the Amazon website "Subscriptions" area where you can cancel it straight away etc. seems like it just auto creates a random access code for you like Username: sdjgho234t234, that's tied to your amazon account and there is no requirement to "login" at all.

  • Streaming service addiction.

  • Get 0.90 back for a channel subscription trial from ShopBack.

  • Come back when it's 1 month free minimum. There's not enough content on ATV to justify paying. There's plenty free month handouts in a year to binge all the new content periodically.

    • Come back when it's 1 month free minimum.

it's never been more than a 7 days when getting a Free trial through another service.

back when AppleTV+ was a "new" service, on the iPad you got Free trials to other streaming channels such as Paramount, MGM, AMC, Shudder etc but all free trials were a 7 days, and they still are.

the difference is it's recurring so eventually it resets and you can get another 7 day free trial. I'm guessing 4 max because that adds up to a month. they are probably doing it this way because if it's a month Free trial users are more likely to be able to watch everything they wanted and never come back to pay. but if it's a week, more likely they are busy and will miss out on some stuff they wanted to watch.

then you have services you can sub to directly which ended Free trials completely. like Netflix.

    • There's not enough content on ATV to justify paying.

I agree with you on this completely though. I think theres more TV shows now, but the list of movies is pretty short.

  • Great thanks.
Will be signing up to watch severance when it comes out
