I think "inflatable" makes the most sense.

      • obviously, you miss my point.

          I think we all did.

  • FWIW Target Castle Hill (Syd) has 10' covers for these clearing out at $5.83 today. About half a dozen in stock.

  • maybe i can inflate one on my balcony

Just be aware if you buy one of these and use it, you'll need to build a pool fence for it.

    • unless you drain the water before you go to the fridge to get your beer.

    • you'll need to build a pool fence for it.

      for certain values of "need".

Of 20,000 of these inflatable pools sold, 5 people built fences, 27 people packed them away after receiving warnings from the council ranger, and 1,475 never unpacked the pool, after realising it was supposed to be fenced.

Meanwhile, my local council swimming centre frequently leaves the side vehicle gates to the pool area wide open, and they are definitely not self closing.

      • better off buying a shade cover for your pool than a fence, more convenient for you (shady) and their helicopters cant spot it.

its end of summer now so expect them to get sold off cheaply, always see people selling these on facebook for about $10 come summer they sell for about $50 - $100 (second hand). dont really think they are worth buying, its one of those impulse buys that ends up not being used and unless you have the sort of children that would use it everyday, better off going to your local pool.

      • and councils allow developers to put in unfenced ponds and wetlands in new developments alongside parks playgrounds and houses

  • Don't be in too much of a hurry if you're contemplating this for next Summer. Wait another month or so

FYI Saw some bigger ones on sale at Kmart Southland Vic for $59 a couple of days ago.

I bought one last year on sale after summer. Set it up in garage. Inside pool, doors locked, no fence required! ;-)

The garage is the fence. What size flatscreen TV did you put in?

  • No tv, but the beer fridge is within reach….
