    Ummm - say what?

    What did you see?

    What is the deal?

Why is the link going nowhere useful?

    St Marys where? NSW? SA?

To clarify, for the person who just Negged me…

What did you see = The OP doesn't even specify what size bottle it was. (there is a vague comment about it being a 9kg last time)

What is the deal = What is the regular price? What exactly is the item?

Why is the link going nowhere useful = try clicking it, and you'll see that it give no hints as to what the item actually is.

St Marys where? NSW? SA? = should be obvious, since there are St Marys in various states.

I agree, this needs more info to be classified as a bargain. It's a neg from me at the moment.

      • I will be going in there in the next day or so.their regular prices is $64 so I'm assuming it's a full bottle.

Would hope its full at that price… $30 at masters, empty..

    • Kmart is $35 (empty) standard price. Bunnings is $34.90

You can get a fill for $17-18 if you know where to look, so perhaps $50 full is not a bad price?

saw 8.5kgs empty(?) at Morayfield masters for $19.50

It's in the current catalogue, $49.95 for a full 9KG gas bottle.

    http://catalogues.stratco.com.au/offer/gas-bottles-fuel/9kg-…

Looks like it's not available to all areas though, tried a few post codes and only 4xxx ones worked. OP needs to do a bit more work to clarify where this is available.

  • $50 full (inc bottle) is a good deal

I use to work at a servo. Sold full new (repainted old bottles form Swap n Go company) for $65. We charged $25 for a refill (at the time was cheapest in Adelaide no idea about now what the going rate is). So make what you will of this info, seems like a decent price. Also my advice is make sure you check the manufactured date. You get 10 years of certification from the date stamped, after that you need to pay for a re inspection and stamping which costs the same as a brand new bottle (around $30-$35). Never buy filled 'brand new' Swap n Go bottles from servos as they are all reconditioned bottles with 3-7 years left on the certification.

Another trick is when your date of certification is soon to expire (ie going to be a throw away) swap a bottle over rather than a refill as then you get a bottle that is good for 3-7 years (check stamped date to get the one with the longest date left).

  • $50 is the normal price for a full 9Kg gas bottle at Supagas
