  • Are these things legal in Australia?

  • yes!

  • Radar detectors are illegal to use in all states other than WA.
    Eg. in NSW :
"A person must not drive a motor vehicle, or cause a motor vehicle or trailer to stand, on a road or road related area if a prohibited speed measuring evasion article is fitted or applied to, or carried in, the vehicle.
    Maximum penalty: 20 penalty units."

  • It is illegal to use a speed radar detecting device on the road in most Australian states.

Please refrain from posting further law evading device!!

  • agreed

  • I think you'll find that, at least in QLD, they use LIDAR for speed monitoring, so something like this would be completely ineffective anyway (and illegal, as already mentioned).

  • Sorry guys, im from WA…

However, these things are useless anyway so im saying negativo!
