AU$ based on current Mastercard rate and GST inclusive.

For those paying in USD this is how you get the correct exchange rate in PayPal:

Setting overseas websites to AUD or letting PayPal do the currency conversion results in an inflated rate. To get the correct rate you need a card without international fees and do the following:

  • Set the website currency to USD
  • Checkout with PayPal
  • Select your card with no international fees
  • Click "See currency options"
  • Select USD to bill the card in USD instead of AUD
  • Proceed with checkout

Now you'll get the correct MasterCard(mastercard.us) or VISA(visa.com.au) exchange rate depending on the card.

Anyone with recommendation for a 12-14inch 1440p with touch? Have a tablet with broken screen and it's too expensive to replace.

    • Would also love one with these specs especially being touch screen

  • +7

Please note, this one doesn't have a kickstand, also no screen protector. This also doesn't work well with Samsung Dex - I tried with two different phones, and it showed a weird resolution/elongated images in both cases.
I just returned one because of a white patch on the screen.

    • any <15 inch recommendation that has a kickstand?

    • I have never gone through return process through AliExpress. I always thought it was too hard..

How did you find your process for this? Is it just taking a while to get a refund? I assume you have to pack and cover the return shipping cost?

      • I submitted the request, and they responded with a postage label after some hours. They said they'll refund after 7 days from the time they received the item. I've not reached that part yet. Will update later

    • +1

Unless Android 16 has changed it, external monitors only 'mirror' the main screen rather than extend, so you're with the same aspect ratio as your phone or tablet. Hence 'weird resolution/elongated images'.

      • I used the Dex mode, in which the phone screen itself became a touchpad/keyboard. When I used that same phone with a 16:9 4K or 2K monitor, I didn't see that same issue. My phone screen is not 16:9.

  • Better off using the cashbacks to get a better price. This link is an affiliated product.

If it were me I'd use cashback, coins and the coupon.

      • +8

Seems the neggers forgot this is OzBargain where we save money, while they prefer to pay more. Coupon reduces US$8, Coins reduce 2%, AliExpress cashback gives 5% back as shopping credit and Topcashback give 25% cashback.

I'll be laughing all the way to the bank.

        • Can you use coupons? Is the exclusion only purchasing coupons?

          • +2

@ATangk: Coupons with TCB/CR/SB cashback is fine if the product is affiliated.

Nice, I don't why but I bought one.

  • Can I use this to connect with my iPhone ?

    • it's a monitor so anything can output usb-c or hdmi should be ok

  • Featuring a 14" IPS display with 2160x1440 resolution, 60Hz refresh rate, 16:10 aspect ratio

    Shouldn’t that be a 3:2 aspect ratio?

    • +1

Yes. I know I corrected it in a previous deal and seems I copied something even older again.

    • Id argue No… Not only is there no rule, law or otherwise stating that all ratios must be written such that they are reduced to their factors . But additionally in an age of ridiculously wide ,widesctrens, I'd definitely argue that using numbers that can easily compared in that realm is far simpler for the average consumer than extrapolating to compare to a 31:10 DQHD.

Why anyone would replicate that particular scenario is beyond me however, it simply serves as a good datum .

Damn, just received one from the last deal today!

    First impressions:
    - not very bright - have to crank up the settings
    - the included stand isn’t much to write home about. Would be better if it had a built in stand
    - very light, very thin and portable
    - colours are quite nice

    • +1

Are you powering it via a USB charger or the laptop USB port? Sometimes they require more amps for the highest brightness.

      • Good advice - but yes, using a good quality usb power supply

      • I've had this model for few months now. USB-C and direct power both have same brightness result. I find brightness OK once set at max and a few other picture tweaks. Did look to see what else is out there at similar price point and seems like this is unfortunately one of the best you can get (without going up significantly in price or dropping other specs).

My main reason for getting was to be able to put my laptop to the side at work. I use 49 inch at work and like additional screen centered under but wanted to avoid having my huge laptop's keyboard taking majority of my working space. This now perfectly sits under it. So much room for activities. Had about 5 people at works buy one since I got it.

While I'd personally struggle to use this as a primary / second primary monitor, if looking for a little more screen real estate to put less critical stuff (e.g teams, youtube, etc), it's a bargain.

        • Do you happen to have a photo of the two monitors together? I also want to get it to put less important stuff Discord / Zoom etc. but low brightness (in contrast to my 2 primary monitors) bothers me quite a bit. Thanks

    • I've had two of these, the first one was extremely bright running just by my laptops usb c but unfortunately it got broken, the second one, even with multiple power sources is still not quite bright enough. Was hoping newer batches were better on this, but I guess not, which is a shame as it is otherwise a great panel.

  • Anything for the 16"?

  • Thanks OP!

  • So how much after topcashback ?

  • Showing AU$86.79

Lucky for you! This product is an affiliated product.

Thanks got one! Been putting this off for a while. Didn't realise the cashback was so 'good'.
No brainer at that price (after cashback). Was about to get something more local (AU) for warranty.

  • great deal thanks Op

  • great price. But no VESA mounting limits it.

  • Not sure what happened but got one for US$48.60 (AU$77.69), but I'm not complaining, ha ha.
    Thanks Clear.

  • Mine arrived today and for the money 5/5. Bonus it works with weird and wacky 50Hz modes like 720x576 perfectly. I found the brightness and contrast fine, but I'm using it indoors. It's pretty comparable to my OLED laptop. The only downside as others have mentioned is no VESA mount, but does come with a functional stand and I can also 3D print a better one if needed.

UPDATE: After enabling HDR and running the HDR colour calibration, this monitor looks REALLY good on Windows 11 over USB-C. Wow, bargain monitor.

      • Just got mine now. How did you enable HDR in Win11? Under System > Display > HDR - mine says Not Supported.

  • I've been happy with HGFRTEE branded ones - got non-touch ones in 14 inch and two in 16 inch, used as second screens for devices or with security system

I got the 1600p resolution ones of each of the above.

  • @Clear - i bought the 16" firebat in the other deal and tried to return this one. Still unopened/unused. Have you ever heard of aliexpress making me send it back to HK at my own cost? And they will reimburse me with credit? The shipping is around $50 aud and there's a customs forms etc. I don't use aliexpress that much these days but their support has been frustrating with generic responses.

"We do apologize for the inconvenience it caused you. After checking, we noticed that your order is under "Buyer Pays," meaning the return shipping cost will need to be covered by you, as specified in the return policy."

It clearly says there's returns within 90 days of purchase and the first return free.

Anyone else with experiences? Frustrating as!

    • Their support is terrible , but it's not the support pple fault. I had one be very candid with me -they basically have 3 functions they can fulfil and if you don't fit into those boxes (which I assume is majority of their support requests), then getting a human being to assess your particular situation is very difficult .

Was this a Choice item? Much like eBay Plus, products with a Choice status are afforded particular perks. One of which is 30 day returns at no cost (I think ,I'll confirm this)
@Clear would be the man to ask I believe ?

      • Yeh it's a choice item..

    • Maybe screenshot that part and send to them. If you PM me your order number I'll notify my contact there and see if they can help.

      • Hey. I have screenshot it so many times… I'll PM you

        • Those lvl1 guys can't do anything for you tho beyond what they're asking ). Then someone higher up makes the decision and hands it down to.yjr ll vl (if you're lucky the same one) and they're simply messengers at that point
