  • Is it export model?

    • +2

No, it is Australian stock with Australian warranty.

      • its not much more than the samsung A55s!!

  • Great deal. Ordered one.

  • +8

note: this has exynos processor, while new s25 has SnapDragon

    • -7

      Only 20% performance difference!!

    • Exynos is ayt on the S24 range but good to note.

    • +2

Importantly, what's the modem like versus the Snapdragon?

      • +1

My S24 Exynos modem is worse than my Snapdragon 626's…

    • +7

nothing wrong with it for tiktok/youtube/emails and occasional happy snap. Not much, if anything, beats it at the $700-750 price point

      • Probably irrelevant, but I have been thrilled with the Nothing 2a, I got the 256gb/12gb ram model. Camera excellent. Very slick and smooth. And around the $460 mark from JB.

        • +1

          Thanks, good feedback!

As someone who 1) doesn't need a new phone, and 2) flip flops daily between snapping my current phone in half, buying a $400 phone, and buying a $2000 phone.

      • Bring a time machine.

Pixel 9 Pro was close to that price at launch using the JB Mobile after cancelling and receiving the $350 GC (early birds).

Unless you're playing latest games on your phone, which is basically a gambling for most games. Phones these days are over powered for regular use.

yeah it has some bits that it might get you excited in the first month, but before long you probably wouldn't look twice at those features. This is also been the trend that people taking longer to update their phones, because new phones add little value to the price tag that they demand.

      • +2

Agree. My S21 is solid, nothing wrong with it. With my experience enjoyment from a new phone is much much less and shorter in time. Especially when there's easy migration tool. In minutes the new phone is ready with all apps installed. It is great but you don't even feel like getting a new phone.

  • +4

Nice! This beats my pixel 8 any day, ordered one thanks!

    • +1

      Does it though?

    • +2

i own a s23 and it's inferior in any almost aspects to something like a xiaomi or oneplus. the tiny weak battery, the 1080p screen, only 8gs of ram, bad performance, gabbage fingerprint sensors, the build quality and the list goes on. but its reasonable size phone thats what matters to me, 6.1 inches is perfect for me.

    • +1

Good Lock on the S24 is amazing

  • -1

    Does it have esim?

    • Dual SIM (Nano + eSIM)

    • Yeah, it has a slot for a nano SIM and it can do eSIM as well

      • Could it take sd card?

        • +1

Sadly not. Don't think Samsung phones (at least the flagship ones) offer SD card support since either the S10 or S20.

    • +5

I don't wish to be rude, but maybe I will be: you could have Googled that and discovered the answer is 'yes'.

I get that sometimes there are some questions where the community can offer a substantive answer based on experience, or there's a grey area where you really need finer detail.

Maybe I'm missing something, and posts would be better served with more product specifications. I doubt it, because I do not think people will read it.

  • Time to upgrade my S10?

        Hierarchical Level of Detail?

    • +1

Tbh … .not unless you have security concerns, or the battery is failing.

  • +9

I think this is a great deal.

There will however be ~100 people who say "No deal - I spent less money than this on a S24, and all I needed to do was spend 7 hours during a brief 24h period once per year, using a buggy samsung shop app, logging in via a questionable edu email address, stacking pre-order and loyalty codes, messaging reps for extra codes, modifying the stacking order of codes, lying about returning an s2# ultra, paying a $60 non-return fee, waiting 3 weeks for delivery….etc

    • +9

Hand in your OZB badge mate, you don't belong here.

    • Got the cheap phone is not biggest happiness but the journey of how to get it and only partial number of poeple that commit and overcome hassle is a real f***ing pleasure. Sure, 7 hours might seem exessive but it was real fun. Way more entertaining than swiping Tiktok. I think that Ozbargain stands for. Yeah saving money is cool but being smart, saving money whiel having fun is even cooler.

    • I spent less on an S25 Snapdragon with Buds 3; the deal stacking was easily done over lunch. It arrived before the deal here even got posted.

  • Out of stock. Only the 512GB variant in limited colours remains.

  • +1

It's cheap but not as cheap as buying the jf-hifi hack for s25

  • +3

I bought S25 512GB for $606 using the below pre-order deal from TGG. Similar pre-order deal available at JB Hifi as well. Expiring today.

    https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/891474

Port in your number to TGG or JB Hifi $79 per month 24 month plan, pay $79 upfront and then cancel the plan. Cancellation Fee of $505 (pro rata $550/24*23) will be invoiced by Telstra.
