    • Looks like Grey ones are shipping pretty fast

      • Yeah theres a few people on Reddit that already have theirs delivered.

        • +1

          Aussie ones?
I saw mostly US and European orders which got delivered.

  • Experts reply please: how is it possible to move app data as well? From old phone android to new one without the need of OTP and login process?

I checked Swift Backup app which does the job but requires rooting and bootloader unlock.

    • The point of OTP / MFA is so other people cannot login to new device without triggering it.

      • There is a way i read online, but need to root device to movie app data as is.

    • Some apps backup app data to the cloud and sometimes the Samsung swap app can automatically transfer the data. Really depends on the app.

      • Samsung switch app doesn't move the app data only apps and then you need go through each app restoration, login again otp etc etc

        • Banking Apps etc won’t allow that as each device is registered separately in your online banking and only then the App gets access. Similar restrictions might be there for so many other Apps too

        • Some work fine. I've been switching every year and apps are getting better in auto migrating settings, data, etc.

    • I read not long ago that Samsung is working on this, possibility to be released with One UI 8/Android 16

      • Cant wait till oneui 8, s25 ultra on the way. I think then rooting is the only solution then

    • not possible.
especially banking apps register hardware address into their records which is not possible without login/otp etc.

  • After all the vouchers and trade-in bonus, S25 Ultra 512gb comes down to $1065.90 ($1085.90 since I purchase the $20 voucher), is this a good deal? The only thing I don't like Australian version is that it doesn't come with dual physical sim cart slot. My S23 Ultra bought from overseas has dual physical sim slot, maybe I should just keep that then… but still… very tempting…. shall I go for it? lol

    • It's a good price. How did you get to it?

      • Trade in my iPhone XS Max 512gb value $170 plus the bonus trade in, the $20 voucher and yes, this is on Edu store.

        • This was without adding accessories? Do you mind sharing the breakdown?

          • @wantvsneed: I think its the same price everyone getting minus $170 trade in value.

            • +9

@Mregmi: It's confusing when you see someone state a price they got but forgot to mention they traded a phone. I keep seeing these prices and thinking I missed something.

              • @F-22: This is one of the most confusing post of the year - that's why I hate this pre-order thingy.

          • +1

@wantvsneed: Yes that's including GALAXY2025 accessories voucher, I just selected the case and charger just to get it for "free" since it is included.

    • Hmmm,

I ordered mine this morning for $964.20

Galaxy S25 UltraTitanium Black 512 GB

      Voucher applied! $400 Trade-In bonus.
      $150 Trade-In bonus applied. Ends 14.02.25.

      Awaiting dispatch
      Trade In
      1 x Galaxy S22 Ultra

      Qty: 1 Total: $964.20

This is without any accessories or the 5% shop discount.

      • +1

Why no accessories? It is free to add $100 worth.

        • Because im a big dummy that totally forgot

          • @enzo3162: Not really a good deal.
You missed $20 for $100 voucher and $200 accessories voucher.

        • Problem for me is that accessories reduces the cost of the phone by $200. The phone is tax deductible to me but the accessories aren't so i lose out on $100 back on tax. So the question was did i want to pay $140 for buds i didn't need.

  • I wonder when the first Australian phones will be in customers hands. I was kind of expecting mine by yesterday, going from when I got the S22U, it came early on the Saturday before normal release day, which is the 6th this time, but no phone and a status of the 7th, a day after you can get it in the shops. Traditionally we have gotten it sooner?

How was it last year for the S24?

    • I think it'll be Wednesday onwards,

      • Just have to wait, just the way it is. If I remember right with my S22U it arrived early as a total surprise, my status on the website was still waiting for shipping. I didn't complain.

        • Status has changed to: awaiting dispatch, so there is movement at the station at least. Oh well, it will be three months since I've had it before I know it, a few more days won't kill me.

    • Mine was 2 weeks post launch. I ordered on the second day of preorders opening

      • Samsung online Exclusive colour for s24U?

        • I think so? The blue one

  • This looks like a better deal

    https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/891474#comment-16223018

I paid $650 for a 256gb from here with the buds, assuming we can't return them the market will be flooded so assume I can only sell it for $100

Same price then but only 256gb vs 512 in the Goodguys deal

    • Agree. But thats only for S25 model. Not for Ultra or Plus models.

      • Yeah for those of us that got the s25 base model, I'll cancel this order and get the other deal I think for the increased storage!

        • This makes sense 👍🏻

    • Same deal with JB too if that is closer/more convenient

  • One of my orders has shipped today. I canceled the Buds 3. Hopefully, I’ll receive it tomorrow.

    • +2

Can guarantee you Startrack is not working today.

    • its just processed by Samsung and ready for being picked. So looks like it will be picked up on Monday and delivered next day.

    • How did you cancel the buds pls?

      • Too late, they closed the loophole

  • Mine has status of shipped but no tracking yet

    • Tracking will be received once Startrack picks it. For now its just processed by Samsung and ready for being picked. So looks like it will be picked up on Monday and delivered next day.

    • What color and storage?

      • site is buggy, says awaiting shipment again
        s25 256 black

        • Ooopppssss

        • Same, but I have already received about 2,700 reward points in my Samsung account. How about you?

  • Very long time lurker, new to joining. I just ordered 2x s25 512 ultra - picked colours that had 6th feb shipping (as I go overseas on 22nd).
Used the 5% app, edu store, $400 code plus Galaxy2025. I added 2x cases and a power brick to go over $100. Traded in a s21fe +s8 for $136. Says total $4860 - discounts of $2552, for a total of $2307. So about $1100 per phone + $100accessories. The only thing is shipping date changed to 13th after payment. I really hope they ship closer to the 6th as advertised - as I chose colours that weren't my favourite for the earlier shipping date. Invoice says $200 GST that I should be able to claim as trs if they arrive in time.

    • with claiming trs, do u have to bring the box with u?

      • Nope, as long as you bring tax invoice and the phone itself.

        • +1

They will warn you though if you bring it back they will charge you GST again.

Not 100% sure how much $$$ will trigger a automatic flagging upon entry. As I know of a few people who took over 5k worth of items overseas for TRS (luckily they were ACTUALLY for gifts), and they got automatically flagged upon entry and got pulled aside to do a cavity search for TRS items. They even knew exactly what items and was saying "DO YOU HAVE THIS ITEM?" then proceeded to look through luggage to make sure.

Never been stung by it, although I don't go crazy and usually for me its 1-2k through TRS. But wondering if you get stung double e.g. GST + Duties (similarly to when you import something via post and customs taxes you) or do they just charge you GST.

          • @lplau: I just got back from trip and although I do declare, but they just ask what you brought back, and the amount I declared is less than the concession we brought back. To be honest, as long as you declare, you have nothing to be worried off.

  • Just asked asurion to cancel my trade in but apparently it’s not an option anymore. Wtf lol.

Thank you for reaching out. At this time, we do not have the option to cancel the Trade-Up ID separately unless the entire Samsung order is canceled. If you wish to proceed with keeping the order but cancel the trade-in, we recommend canceling the order first and then placing a new order without the trade-in. Thank you for your understanding.

    • +2

      That would make sense

      • Hahaha, but its stupid because if we send nothing in… well.

Honestly I thought I was just doing them a favour to let them know i won't be sending anything in…

Not sure what it is but they probably received so many cancellations for the trade-ins they might've enacted this policy without thinking it through lol

        • They prefer that we send nothing and just collect $30 or $60 for doing nothing. Easy money, but it’s a win-win.

          • @iforumos: But if you keep doing this, wouldn't they ban you from ever using the trade-in?

            • @cloudie9: Let me see…

            • +2

@cloudie9: I have been doing trade-ins for the last 2-3 years, and never sent any device to them. Haven’t been banned yet. I am sure a lot of other people must have done this too.

              • @OZBsince2018:

never sent any device to them

Was it all phones? Did they charge $60? I remember seeing $30 here but I think that might have just been trading in buds.

                • @CodeXD: In the beginning they were a bit disorganised and I wasn’t charged anything a couple of times. But now yes, they charge $60 as device non-return fee.

              • @OZBsince2018: I can vouch that you would not be banned if you did not return a device previously.

                • @vchung916: I know. I have been doing these trade ins without sending the devices to them.

            • +2

@cloudie9: Maybe they are happy with the $60 no-return fee, just like how people sign up for a Telstra plan at JB Hi-Fi and TGG to get the bonus and then cancel it. If they were actually losing money, they would surely close the loophole.

        • -2

Please start reading their condition before using their service.

          • @Avi0001: I agree with Avi0001. They would breach the terms and conditions to charge you if you never send in anything. Last year I used the trade-in bonus for a Fold 6 and they said they will charge me late return fee, and long story short, they did not (could not, actually) charge me for the late return fee as I did not send in any device to Asurion.

            https://www.ozbargain.com.au/comment/16198082/redir

            • @vchung916: did they mark anything into the credit score file if you checked it?

  • Any sign of shipment?

    • -3

      😂

    • +1

Nothing yet but hopeful it will be early!!

Ordered the Jade Green 512gb on 23.01 but my order status was constantly changing between shipped and awaiting dispatch.

I got sick of it and contacted their support chat. Have been advised the below:

Upon checking your order, Your Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra is now on 'Shipping Preparation' which means that there's already an assigned courier for it and is waiting to be picked up. The reason why the status of your order is changing is due to your 50W Power Adapter Duo which will be handled by another courier.

  • Has anyone else received their Samsung rewards points, but their order status changed from "Shipped" back to "Awaiting Dispatch"?

    • rewards points will be updated after 24 to 48 hrs after its delivered

      • I received the reward points, but my order status has changed from "Shipped" back to "Awaiting Dispatch."

  • Has anyone actually got a tracking number yet?

    • I think that will most likely happen tonight for the orders that are flagged as arriving by 6 Feb.

      • I ordered mine on the 23rd around 8pm. 25Ultra 256 Jetblack, Buds pro 3, case and screen protector. Its still showing Awaiting Dispatch "Ships from: 06 Feb 2025" on the order page. Do you think We will be receiving tracking numbers tonight?

        • Yeah, I think so.

        • Same for me. Ordered 25U 256 Jetblack with Buds 3 Pro on 23rd 9pm. Still showing Awaiting Dispatch "Ships from: 06 Feb 2025"

      • +7

Samsung says "get it by 7 Feb 2025", and with Star Track to metro regions is often 1 day delivery.
Why is your patience wearing thin? You should expect it to be dispatched Wed / Thur for this Delivery date?

Samsung support chat is going to have no visibility behind warehouse logistics beyond the status the warehouse assigns them in the system. They aren't even in the same country.

In my experience with a registered AusPost account I get a notification from startrack that the label has been created, then an email from Samsung with the tracking once the delivery has been picked up, then it's next day. Asking StarTrack and Samsung before that is an entire waste of yours and their time.

    • I called and got my tracking number but they said it's not active yet i.e the phone is ready to be picked up by the delivery company. I'm in NSW, they said it will be through StarTrack. I suspect it will be updated today/tomorrow with delivery for tomorrow/Wednesday. On par with most other years being a few days earlier then the 'release date'

  • +1

I got a austpost tracking number, order status still waiting dispatch. Tracking says it’s coming today. I don’t know what it is, says signature required.

    • What did you order and when?

      • I don’t believe its the phone but I haven’t ordered anything that should require signature, I have couple of parcels coming later this week. So its kinda confusing.
        I ordered 23/01 around 6pm

        • Does it say startrack?

          • -1

@thedean: No, I don’t know what I am getting and who is sending

            • +1

@Mregmi: How much are you ordering online where you get a tracking number for a package but dont know what it is nor who is sending it lol

            • +1

@Mregmi: I guess one can easily distinguish Startrack tracking number from AusPost tracking number as Startrack ones are different from AusPost ones.

        • In the AusPost app, or even by plugging in the tracking into AusPost website, it should show what type of Service it is using, e.g. Parcel Post, Express Post or Startrack.

  • After reading reviews and getting my S23U refreshed think I'll cancel my order.

The 25 has some nice benefits, cured coners, few grams less, but not huge improvements and for me they're outweighed by the S pen downgrade. The remote shutter is super handy.

Shame as its a sharp price. But one not worth it. IMO.

(Now to work out how to get a bargin S24u)

    • +2

You bought it so cheap you may as well sell the S25U on FB marketplace for a profit to subsidise the S24U lol

      • What do you realistically think it would sell for? Its 512gb. I added care+ too, would be forfeiting that. And the hassle of selling the buds3.

Not sure theres gonna be that much profit..

My S25 is due for delivery on the 14th.

    • +2

If the Spen is a dealbreaker than the s24u is the way to go.

      Otherwise, the s25u is better.

      • -2

Anyone who owns a Samsung Watch should stfu about the pen honestly, It can do the same thing even better. I had the Note series for years and never used the feature, Samsungs own data says fewer than 1% did.
