        • Have you received Samsung Rewards points?

        • its all part of his pyramid scheme. We have fell for it!

          • +1

@lplau: To be fair @CodeXD tried to warn me about him but naive me wanted to trust the great Pyramid because that's the only ray of hope I saw yesterday haha.

Mine now showing get by 10 Feb.
    Ordered early on release day.
    S25 blueblack.

    • +2

Mine still says awaiting dispatch and get it by Feb 7. S25U in Tit Blue. Ordered in the morning on release day. Sometimes what the site says is wrong. I do remember having a phone in my hand and the site says it was still awaiting dispatch. Sometimes you can get the other parts of the order later.

    • Did exactly that a few years ago on my last trade in and they didn't even notice. Dunno if they are more strict now though.

  • Has anyone had there order shipped yet?
Mine says get it by 6th Feb

    • +2

      Congratulations

      • Not shipped yet tho :( I wonder if it will actually come on the 6th

  • I have managed to scratch my trade in device.
Preordered last week the s25u trading in my s23u for $600. was perfect condition at the time.
Have now put an area of fifine scratches and scuff marks top middle of the phone screen below the front camera. any idea how much asurion will reduce my trade in? I also have 10 days left on my samsung care+, so another option would be to send it in for a refesh and sell it myself. though not sure I can now I have booked it for trade in.
    any thoughts?

    • +1

Wait didn't you already post this… lol

      • accidental. for some reason I couldnt see the first one so tried again. then deleted the first one when I saw there was 2. sorry for the confusion

    • -1

I would say check mobile monster or webuyback. They offer a better price. Do the math and see if its worth swapping it out with samsung care for a better price.Asurion wont charge you the $60 extra from their new terms and conditions.

      • they wont charge the $60? oh didnt realise there was a change. thanks

  • It seems that I will be traveling overseas before the phone is delivered, so I won't be able to claim a TRS refund, which is disappointing.

Anyone knows how long Startrack/Aus Post holds packages for? I did a quick Google search and it seems to be 10 business days, but since I'll be away for a few weeks, I'm not sure if the 10-day timeframe is strictly enforced or if there is some flexibility. I don't want to cancel the order because it seems the promotions end on February 13th.

    • +1

Long back I was in a similar situation with some other parcel and I explored this hold mail thing.

      https://auspost.com.au/receiving/manage-your-mail/redirect-h…

Fortunately didn't have to use it but may be you can check with them.

    • +1

Interesting thing, last year I didn't collect my phone, and it got returned to Samsung. But Sammy ended up resending it without even contacting me. I know this might not happen every single time, just sharing my experience.

Your other option is to ask Startrack or if you have a registered Mypost account to redirect it to a mates or parcel locker which has a longer holding period.

    • Give them my address

    • +1

You can call your local Auspost office to put a vacation hold. Or authorize someone else to collect.

  • +3

I ordered a S25 from TGG Blacktown by signing up this deal:

    https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/891474

Just received a call from them that my S25 is ready for collection.

    • +3

You should post there lol this deal is for ordering from samsung via edu/epp

      • +2

I posted it here just to let everyone know that Samsung is already delivering the phones to the retailers.

P.S. I ordered one S25U via this deal as well 🙂

      • +2

@CodeXD Yea but still good to know, as people are checking this thread for order updates etc.

  • Hi there, looking for people's wisdom. I opted for a trade in of my S24+ 256gb for $565 however MobileMonster and MobileGuru are paying more for the phone.

Would there be any penalty beyond the $565 security deposit being held if I didn't send it to Asurion and to another party instead? It notes in the T&C's Samsung may collect further $$ from the coupons etc - wondering if this is the case?

I'm happy to send the phone to Asurion but I'm leaving some free money on the table by not asking this question lol

If anyone knows which third party is best for process / simplicity in sending in my phone please let me know too :) Thanks!

    • There is a huge discussion on this page and page 38 if you have a scroll on that very topic.
Plus you can read the T&C's in the emails sent by Asurion.

    • -1

You will be charged additional $60 for device non-return fee.

      • Under the T & C

        https://images.samsung.com/is/content/samsung/assets/au/term…

There is no such term as "non-return fee" under the definition clause 14. Under clause 14, they have Late Return Fee but no non-return fee. However, in my previous correspondences with Asurion, they did mentioned this term "non-return fee" a few times, which reflects that Asurion does not act in accordance with the T & C.

  • Has anyone tried if these codes work with the S24U?

  • +2

Wow! We're on page 40 now with no signs of shipment yet. They can still hit the goal of delivery by 6th/7th even if they ship by tomorrow using StarTrack.

    • Other countries got theirs last week 1 week after pre order

      • Yeah but aren't we in Australia always the last ones to get it (talking about orders from Sammy website only and not in-stores) ?
US and EU always get them before us.

      • Perks of living in Australia where everything works at a snail pace 🥹

    • I still haven’t received my case so I am happy to wait for the phone

      • +1

That's good. When I pre-ordered last time, I got my case almost one month after. Both case and phone were in same order. Unfortunately I dropped the phone as well during that period.

      • I ordered a case from Otterbox and it shipped way quicker than I anticipated…same with screen protector off Amazon. So just awaiting phone now lol

        • I bought one UAg from Melbourne

      • I'm actually disappointed my Spigen case probably won't arrive in time for the phone. I'm pretty sure it was already here in other years.

I did order a bunch of cases from Samsung, so it will be nice if at least one of those is delivered at the same time. If not, the Quad lock case, which I only intend to use a few times here and there, and I also ordered on launch day, has been here for a few days, so I'll have that until something better comes along.

NZ Samsung deliveries have started today. My friend got 2 S25 ultra 512gb delivered too both online exclusives.

    • Did they order on the 23rd?

      • He infact ordered on 26th Jan close to midnight

        • Ah NZ, missed that. We really get the short end of the delivery stick here in aus. Wonder if its because of all the weird accessory cancellation and $1 trade ins.

          • @OZcheepsk8: Infant i just moved over from there few months ago and you wont believe what EPPs deals comes over the year. I bought S24 ultra fews times and on 50% off on EPP. My friend order had payment problems with samsung on retail and he got 50% off and ended up buying 5 512gb for 1250 each.

            • @Emenent7426: nice. 1250 comes close to the value of the 512gb with all the vouchers. Samsung products devalue so fast I'm nervous to even try to flip

  • Can anyone recommend cases with precise hole cut-outs? Spigen this year looks dissapointing…

    • I ordered the dBrand Ghost just before I ordered the phone, and to be honest it looks like it will arrive before the phone!

      • looks nice but unfortunately cant afford to pay 45 usd for a clear case. Skins are nice though, love that xray.

        • My previous dBrand is still on my S21U from launch.
Personally I love clear cases but I always replace them when they yellow. It's cheaper than the 3 or 4 clear cases I'll go through and get annoyed with the colour overtime.

          • @thedean: I love/hate the clear cases too, but since moving from an all black phone I've been using them and replacing them as needed. Normally Spigen, but the S22U Spigen was a terrible material, so I had a look at the clear Samsung case I got with my order and I loved it. Ordered more of those as needed for the S22U.

I've ordered another Spigen, but used part of my $200 bonus to get 5 of those clear cases, that should do it.

Got this for my S24 Ultra and getting another for S25 Ultra. I find it gives better protection over the camera holes than any other case I've used.

I wanted to get the Magsafe version but when I used it on my S24 Ultra the magnet is so strong that it actually prevented me from using any wireless charging pads which was a shame.

      • Very nice. Not fond of clear cases but will lookout for cases from that brand. Looks neat

        • I believe they also have leather & silicone cases if that's what you prefer :)

For all pre-order purchases, the logistics will start handing over the orders to Startrack on February 5, 2025.

    • Is this info reliable?

      • -1

        You will find out tomorrow.

    • How do you know this?

    • Yup. Customer Care guys told me the same thing on 24th Jan when I asked them to at least ship the buds as that's not being launched now. They said all items in the order are booked to be handed over to StarTrack on 5th Feb.

  • My cancel button just dissapeared. PROGRESS!. Ordered Jet black on 24th

    • Check the status again. It may have appeared again. Happened with me this morning- there was no Cancel button and now there is. Ordered jetblack 256GB on 23rd.

      • Where are you guys seeing the ccancel button? I never got one on my login and I have two orders.

        • +1

For most people who ordered on 23rd, cancel button disappeared last week itself.
It appears in first header row of the order page if you click view details on it.

      • Its dissapeared. But my ship from date has moved from 13th to 17th Feb. Fkn disaster!!!

        • -2

Looks like the S25 phones will be available to walk in buyers from retailers before the preorders from Samsung get delivered 😀

          • +1

@OZBsince2018: At full price tho, discounted phones need to have patience 😂

            • @abs898: Not really. I already collected my S25 512GB today from TGG. Ordered on Saturday 1st February. Paid $0 for the phone plus $79 first month fee and $527 cancellation fee. So total $606.

              • +1

@OZBsince2018: And a credit check. Signing a contract and outright are different type of purchases.

Sure you cancelled the contract but you did go through the application, a credit hit and then cancellation.

Buying directly from Samsung coated the same. I paid $480ish for s25 256gb, 512 wasn't that expensive either.

                • @abs898: I don’t have a mortgage or any loans, done with these already 🙂 so a credit check doesn’t matter to me.

                  • -2

@OZBsince2018: You could have just gotten a new credit card, taken the credit hit. Purchased via this deal for 500-550. Received bonus on your credit card too. Double dipping if credit hit isn't your concern

                    • +2

@abs898: Didn’t need to go that far mate 😅

                      • -2

@OZBsince2018: Exactly my point lol didn't need to go far with the contract application either and compare to an outright phone purchase

                        • -1

@abs898: Took 5 minutes IN and out of Store for signing up and then 2 minutes to pick up the phone, compared to having to do trade in, buy voucher, use vouchers and then wait for Samsung to deliver which I did for my S25U 🥹

        • Date has changed again!! from Get it by 17th Feb to 11th Feb. Please another few days forward is all I ask.

  • Response from chat:

Upon checking on my resources, since the product that you purchase is a Pre-Order. The orders will start connoting on February 3, 2025. The logistics will start handing over the orders on February 5, 2025, and that's when you will receive an order dispatched emails, with deliveries starting on February 10, 2025.

Hold tight till Monday I guess

    • +1

StarTrack is pretty quick, it they hand them on 5th then we should have them by the end of the week

    • when was your ship from date? could the chat be referencing your specific order, I suspect most who ordered on day 1 will get by 7th

      • Ordered on day 1 (23 Jan @10am) Titanium Grey

        • Will you sign ma tetten mr Huang?

  • Does anyone know if you cancel the order and re order if I will get the 5% off discount again for re order via App? I asked Samsung and they are giving all the different answers.

    • You can always register a new account though.

      • Sneaky

      • Not as easy on edu/epp unless you have multiple governement/edu emails?

  • Okay guys! So, I just ordered today and it changed to get it by 7th Feb!!!

Next year im going to just get a standard colour…

      • +1

tbh colors are a bit of disappointment this time around. typing this on my Titanium Violet S24U, I love that colour, but it's time to let go

all black is boring. green and pink nah. silver blue too light. titanium black looks interesting but still dull. same about white. I went with titanium grey but it just stood out slightly more to me. violet and orange were awesome on S24U

        • I can live with a less desirable colour but a week earlier shipping. Getting $90 less for trade in

          • @OZcheepsk8: yeah also it was a standard colour. win win

but hopefully more intense colours next year

at any rate, I am trading in the galaxy watch I got last year for free, s24U will go for 860, and for the 300 I am out of pocket I get buds3 and double the storage, along with bump up to latest model.

            regardless, these preorders kick ass.

            • @shabaka: Get MM to pricematch your MG quote. They will add $30.

              • @OZcheepsk8: MG is right next to my house, for $30 I'd rather drop off and get money on the spot

thanks a lot for the suggestion, much appreciated

                • @shabaka: Wait… they give it to you on the spot? Like assess it there and then?

                  • @OZcheepsk8: that's what the website said I think

                    • @shabaka: ahh. I might check that out. Typically with MM they take away the phone and in about a weeks time you get your assessment or revised offer and the cash into bank after that

                      • @OZcheepsk8: Is MM mobile monster? What is MG?

                        • +1

@CodeXD: MobileGuru. Both melbourne based with physical drop-offs. Mobile Guru has the better trade in price on my device but can get that price beat (upto +$30) by MobileMonster.

                          • @OZcheepsk8: Do we need to take appointment for drop-offs? And what's the advantage, if they can't assess/quote on the spot?
