    • What colour you get? I noticed that different colours get different dates for some reason

      • I got the Titanium black. I noticed that too, some colours shipping at different dates. Titanium black was initially showing 6th of feb, hence why I picked it. Final checkout ended up saying 10th.

      • +1

No thier not. Your talking lies, once it shows as shipped 1 ot 2 days later its delivered.

      • +1

Definitely incorrect lol. Last year I ordered the exclusive Titanium Blue S24 Ultra which had a later shipping date than all the other colours. Ended up getting it a week or so early, and only took 2 days to arrive in WA.

          https://www.ozbargain.com.au/comment/14959405/redir

I ordered 19 Jan last year and got it 14 February. Release date was end of January. Read through the thread. Got mine 2 weeks after launch despite ordering one day after the pre-orders started

          • @0 0 0: there is always outliers in shipping….. but most will receive within a much timely manner.
I've pre-ordered a phone with them every year for the last 5 years and it has always been delivered on time or earlier.

    • +3

Think i've received 3 orders in 2 or 3 days after i get the shipping notification. I believe main warehouse is in Melbourne so they get it 1-2 days and they use startrack express. Even if it ships on 10th, i'd expect it to be there before you leave but can never rule out delays.

      • From all previous years, their dispatch came from Sydney but via Startrack.
They would have it all packed already and likely already shipping labeled…. but they have put an embargo on the shipping which usually says "do not ship until 5 days from release date"

    • Same for my Jetblack S24U 256GB as well.

    • When did you order it?

    • +1

Pretty much all of them say 6th Feb which is their "official" launch day.
But from prior year experiences, they will usually ship 4-5days earlier so they can try to get it to you for launch.

Note they will ship Startrack so you should generally get it next day.

      • True in general.
But for some the “Ships from….” date mentioned is much later depending on when did they order.

        • Correct due to stock levels

      • I got the Jade Green 512GB and saids ships 6 February 🤞 it ships sooner plus I live in the Sydney City region so technically I should have no delays

        • -1

We can’t ever be 100% sure of Samsung 😅
So let us just wait and see 🙂

    • Got Titanium Grey 512 GB and same, shipping from 6 Feb

  • Not a frequent poster here, so please be gentle :)

Was a bit late to all the codes but so far have priced:

    S25U 1TB 2749 RRP

    20% off EDU store 549.8
    Watch trade in 10
    150 trade in bonus
400 trade in bonus code from Member app
    5% App Shop discount 81.96

    Total 1557.24

    Similar process for:

    S25U 512GB gives me 1253.24
    S25+ 512GB gives me 1053.74

    Notes:

    • I was too late for the $20 voucher,

    • I plan to add the galaxy2025 code which I think is only $100 of accessories now. Just isolating the phone cost for now.

    • The Commbank Yello discount also does not apply in the Edu store

But in terms of available discounts is this the best I can get without a significant trade-in do you think?

Any help for further maximising would be greatly appreciated :)

    • +1

Yea. That seems to be the lowest you can get now.

      • Thanks very much

    • +1

Not the lowest but thats still a good deal

      • Yeah agreed not the best possible based on all codes that were previously available. But at this point, is there anything I may have missed?

No worries if not, just want to explore all avenues before pulling the trigger

Will try and track down a $20 for $100 voucher to add. But other than that, I think I'm at maximum possible.

        Cheers

    • -1

I think this price can be obtained later on, in other special day deals, price match etc - not the best possible bargain - I missed the boat too :(

      • +1

its still on except that you get $200 off and not the $100 using galaxy2025 code. $100 for $20 voucher people are selling or giving away. even without those its a smasher deal.

  • I noticed, during check-out I need to enter a valid serial number for the trade-in device, however what if I dont have a Samsung device but I wanted to take advantage of the trade-in bonus?

For example: I have entered a $10 valued Samsung Watch (which I dont have) however I am unable to check-out without a valid serial number? Is there a way to generate a serial number?
Is there a way to overcome this? Or do I need to have an eligible device in possession (whether or not I want to return or not) to check-out successfully?

    Thanks

    • +1

Google IMEI for your trade-in device…

    • +3

I picked Samsung Watch 4 Bluetooth (not LTE) and entered a random alphanumeric serial number which worked fine.

    • My apologies

  • -3

    EDU deal
    Traded in s21

    s25 Plus 256GB - 678
    Added some Buds Pro 3 - 24
    screenprotector/case - 50

    Total 752 AUD

Ultra not worth it unless you have to say you have the best phone - only key difference for me was the camera.

    GLTAHF

    • The ultra does have the anti glare though which the plus does not fyi, some people like it some don't it seems

      • +1

25 bucks for the anti glare film (Samsung sells it)

        • Does it work though, like practically I mean. Always worried about screen protectors/films and such not sitting flush or peeling etc.

          • @buyerbee: S24u here with the film. It's a game changer. No reflections or glare are almost non existant. Makes a big difference.

            • @Wizard: The film adds even more anti reflection? Cause the s24 ultra has it in built into the screen itself. I believe the s24u was the first to introduce it.

              • +2

@buyerbee: Yes the film add more anti reflection

                • -1

@Wizard: but its not a protector right?

            • @Wizard: How easy is it to apply the Samsung film perfectly? In past whenever I tried to apply a film, always ended up having bubbles, dust etc.

              • @OZBsince2018: It's easy. It makes an air line in the middle horizontally. It disappears after 48 hours.

It's not as easy as a spigen easy tR glass fit with the aligner, but you get 2 protectors included. So leaves room for error.

                • @Wizard: Thanks. I always end up messing up these film’s installations 😅
Thats why now always buy these ESR glass protectors for flawless and easy application:

                  https://amzn.asia/d/a7lZ7DT

                  • @OZBsince2018: Yeah I have struggled with the amfilm etc. too. Have ordered ESR this time simply based on their installation video.

  • -3

Update: after my 5000 time checking my order status page, My S25U unfortunately has not yet been changed to " On the Way" its still on " Awaiting Dispatch" sad

    • +3

I think this year you have to check 10 000 times, last year 5000 was too easy to get.

      • -1

I have not ordered anything from anywhere else except samsung but got notification on my auspost "Label created by sender". Fingers crossed

        • Check the sammy store, your expected date may have been updated.

        • in the auspost app…. if you expand the "details" what service does it say? if it says Startrack then likely the phone, if it doesn't say it… then it will be something else.

          • @lplau: It is startrack. Says delivers on Wednesday and signature required. I have ordered
            1. S25 Ultra and Case from Samsung epp
            2. Anti reflective Screen protector from regular store

Unless boost sends their $15 sim via startrack.
Now i hope it is for the phone.

  • anybody knows how long it takes until we receive accessory cancellation refund?

    • +2

      Once the phone is delivered.

  • Is the Party Over so quickly? 😲😲😲 —- Seems I Missed the boat.

    • There's still time, although the discounts are slightly less, the deal is still decent. A friend of mine went through with this deal last night and got the base s25 + buds ($119) + case ($19) for about $750 total

      • I cant see EDU page but has the $150 trade in bonus finished? Otherwise, that seems a bit high.

        • I believe it's $100 trade in for the base s25

We don't intend on returning any accessories. Used the $300 off coupon, galaxy2025 and received $100 trade in bonus

  • -1

How have people been able to cancel accessories this year? Mine (Aus Govt EPP store) only has option to cancel the entire order.

    • +2

Didnt read through the comments? Been discussed a lot already. Cant do it anymore. There was a hack but they fixed that too.

      • +1

I am sure Samsung would have fixed the hack for returning accessories also after the order is delivered i.e. we won’t be able to return the accessories alone and it will have to be a return of complete order. Let us wait and see.

      • Thanks mate, yes I read the comments but also read that someone was able to cancel so thought I'd ask.

        • Call them, I was able to cancel the watch over phone

          • @go2force: That might be before they fixed this loophole….!!!!! After that Samsung reps on chat clearly told that they cannot cancel individual accessories as these are part of the overall deal.

            • @OZBsince2018: Hard luck then. Samsung will be closing all these loopholes in the next 2-3 years and then we will be paying close to the actual price at launch :(

              • +3

@go2force: Let us make hay while the sun shines 🙂

              • @go2force: Technically Samsung is giving out $200 worth of accessories for free.

                • @SR9: Yes they are - for now.

                • @SR9: We pay for it one way or the other. Samsung doesnt do things out of the goodness of their heart.

  • So if people try to send back accessories that were bundled post order once received, are they gonna honour that or ask for all items back only?

    • +1

We will know once the order is delivered and we try to create an online return from the order details. My guess is it won’t allow us to create a return for the accessories only. Thats how it should always be given the purpose of the accessories voucher was to lure buyers to the buy the phone by offering some free accessories.
But we need to wait and see.

  • Anyone has the idea to order glare free S25 Ultra screen protector under $10?

Could anyone please guide if you have used similar kind of the stuff before?

    Thanks

    • +2

I used the Samsung screen protector for 12 months from day 1 on my S24U. Removed it yesterday - screen perfect to the eye. Nothing but good things to say about it.

      • Thanks for the info.

        • +1

Official samsung ones half price atm on the edu store so only about $19

  • +1

Anyone else haven't received a confirmation email?
I ordered an S25U+accessories 25th Jan and still no email. Order shows up as "order accepted" when looking at it on the shop app.
Option to do partial accessory cancellation does not appear.
I messaged the chat later on the 25th asking for email confirmation, they said it's still being processed.

But when I called them today, they said it's stuck and will need to be escalated to their backoffice….
this does not bode well. I used the $20 coupon, bonus trade in and accessories code.

    • I put my order last night and received the confirmation email with the invoice after 15mins.

    • +2

Looks like you are in for a ride. This happened with a few buyers last year also and their orders were delayed

      • +1

Went through another samsungonline drama in 2023 (several factors involved - delayed dispatch for store pickup which apparently eventually got lost in transit + was flying o/s & and took 4~ months for cancellation & refund processing). Hope this time i do get it (selected home delivery).

        • Update: seems the order has now been fixed. Got a text from Asurion about trading code being used and got an email invoice from Samsung . Called and they confirmed it's no longer stuck. I asked about partial accessories cancel and they said none of the accessories in the order can be cancelled.
Let’s see if return refund still works 😅
Should have ordered earlier before the patch.

    • This happened to me for the fold. Took 2+ weeks to resolve as it was back and forth between the office.

    • Last year, I ordered a Galaxy Watch Ultra for under $600. After a week, I still hadn’t received a confirmation email. When I contacted Samsung, they told me to wait. The payment was pending in my bank account at the time.
After about two weeks, the order disappeared from my Samsung account. When I reached out to them again, they said they couldn’t find my order and asked me to provide proof of the charge from my bank. However, since the pending charge had already disappeared, I had no proof. As a result, I never received the watch.

      • So you didnt pay for watch at the end but still expected to receive it?

        • I would like to pay $600 to get the watch. I asked them to charge me again, but since I had no proof that I had purchased the watch for under $600, they couldn’t do it. I should have taken a screenshot of the pending payment.
Edit: Sorry for confusing you, I should say that I didn’t get the watch.

        • -1

He paid and his bank release the money to samsumg. But due to technical glitch Samsung's bank did not accept the money. So if the merchant will not accept the money in between 10 days then the pending money in your bank account will disappear automatically.

          • @Avi0001: There are always people who look for bones in eggs.

    • +1

@snorkey thats good if they have fixed.

But iif it will happen again then follow that procedure.

      Same thing happened to me.
It happens when your Bank releases the money to the company but due to some technical issue companies bank can not accept your money. That issue is from Samsung's side.

Resolution what I performed and succeeded.
      1) Call your Bank, I beleive it will be Combank so call 132221, if not then call your bank's customer support.

      2) Ask them if they have repeased the money to Samsung if Yes then ask them to provide you Transactions authorisation number.

      3) Contact Samsung support through chat.
Explain them that you order the device on 25th of Jan and that the Order no. but I still did not get the confirmation email. Om the other hand tell them that you already confirmed with your bank that moeny has been released and thats the Transection authorisation no.

      4) Request Samsung support to escalate that issue to their financial team and tell them that you still want that order.

      5) After escalating ask them to request that if they might cancel the order then they have to provide me the same benefits, which they will write while escalating to Finanace depaprtment of Samsung.

      6) In the nutshell, grab the case number and wait.

I did the same thing and they approved my order and it will ship on 6th Feb, exept the rugged case which will be shipped on 13th of Feb.

      Thanks

  • Just got a SMS from UPS. My S25U 256 JetBlack will be delivered tomorrow directly from Vietnam

    • Wow nice, when did you order? And what is your order status on the Samsung website/app?

      • I ordered on 24th. On the app it still awaiting dispatch.

    • +1

haha wonder if it is a scam…. dont think Samsung Aus dispatched from overseas in prior years?

      • I thought the same when I saw the message. Then I decided to give it a try and clicked on the link. It directed me to the official UPS website, and it looked quite legit. Anyway, let’s see what happens tomorrow.

        • +1

          Any updates please?

    • Mine is getting delivered directly from Samsung, South Korea

      • +1

Maybe Samsung CEO coming himself to deliver the phone?

        • +5

He wanted to but I said no cause my day and nights are busy browsing ozbargain.
