    • Yes, its normally a temporary hold which is released after a few days if you don’t use your trade in ID.

      Just to rule out a fake email thing.

      Apparently a lot of people are getting delivery related fake emails so suspecting fraudsters know who ordered the phones or they are tracking some forums/websites and backtracking the users and sending them SMS/Emails. May be..

      I'm guessing you mean the phone cost only and not including the accessories or did you trade in something of value?

    Just ordered from government store app last night.

    I am hoping any better deal doesn't come up…

    I missed GALAXY2025 $200 value purely because Samsung blocked (account unlink/link issue) my government email account and whilst I was trying to solve the issue it gone past the first 72 hours sadly. I complained to Samsung but they wouldn't honour the extra $100 value.
    And of course I missed the $100 voucher for $20 as I didn't think I would upgrade from S23 Ultra.

    I still think I did ok but pls be kind this is my first post 😁

        • I guess you should be able to? The galaxy watch 7 was already 40% off RRP in the government portal so yes it was a great deal as my watch 4 battery life is getting shorter and shorter…

          Seems pretty decent price for trade-in. You can max get $100 - $150 more on marketplace perhaps, but considering the listing, meeting, money exchange etc, this seems worth it.

      You should pick the colour based on your own preference rather than just the most popular. You'll be the one who will be using it on the daily.

      PSA I would have gone for the Jet Black but Samsung is notorious for using a horrible process to paint their phones - leading to paint chipping off the sides despite being in a case full time etc.

      Google it online and you'll find many cases of it - I personally experienced this already with the S22 in black.

      Since then I've only ordered the lightest colour as the side rails are raw non-painted titanium. This might also be another reason why Samsung this year has decided to go with raw titanium on the sides for their non-exclusive colours.

    SOOOOOOOO. I cancelled the buds last week and my whole order was cancelled last night. Contacted support and they said it was cancelled due to the buds being part of the package deal with the eco-coupon. Had to reorder today and only out less than a hundred but just be warned. I tried playing the system and lost haha

        Well the buds would have had to have been part of the accessories because you cannot just cancel buds on their own this year.

          First day of the pre-order, cancellation of Buds was allowed if there's an additional accessory like case. It was disabled next day and only full order cancellation was available.

        • I guess what @ratiner meant was for the people who ordered more than 1 accessories and cancelled only the expensive one out of those - say Buds

      It would be a nightmare if my S25 Ultra order got canceled. I’ve already sold my S24 Ultra.

    • That would screw a lot of people in this thread then - did you only have the Buds as your accessory? Or did you have more than 1 accessory - because I still had a screen protector in the order after cancelling the Buds.

      • I had the clear magsafe case first and the buds second. I cancelled the buds immediately after purchase and left the case.

    • This should mean they wont allow returns either unless they forgot to fix that part

      • Its ok. Still worth a deal. We can always sell the buds on marketplace if we want to. May not fetch the full value back but still we can get back some amount.

          You cannot return items from online orders to a physical store, has to be returned online.

          Previous years we were able to cancel accessories either right after ordering or after receiving the product and return by talking to chat.

          This year however Samsung has blocked users from cancelling ANY accessories after ordering. Whether we will be able to return only accessories after receiving product is yet to be tested since this is a pre-order.

            I was originally planning to sell the buds3pro i tacked onto my s25+ order.

            My options therefore are:
            1) sell it on marketplace
            2) engage chat once received and see if they accept returns? (they would credit your card i guess?)

  • Interesting indeed. I ordered the phone on the 1st day of preorder release. My order still shows awaiting dispatch for 6th Feb. I cancelled the buds but remained a case and screen protector in the order. Did receive an email confirmation of cancellation immediately for the buds. New invoice shows, buds been cancelled and total price updated. Waiting game begins if the whole will be cancelled or not … The Samsung deal ozbargained with cancelling buds - now perhaps not so….

    • I only added Buds as one accessory along with the S25U and felt I missed out on additional savings by cancelling the Buds. But now I feel probably not πŸ₯Ή

    • This year it seems they didnt partially apply eco voucher to phone. When i cancelled buds and case i got the full $200 discount applied on my invoice

    My wife and I ordered the S25U using the purchased evoucher+ each with same accessories, same trade in (we both had old S8 lying around) and registered for the members bonus. My order status is awaiting for delivery but my wife's was sitting on order accepted for a whole week only to receive a cancel order email from Samsung with no explanation. Money was taken from the credit card account for her order and now refunded except for the trade in payment. I got my invoice on the same day but when she didnt get hers she enquired about it almost daily and got a different answer. From "it needs to be validated", "it takes 24 hours", then "48 hours" then "3 days". At first they mentioned it had something to do with the trade-in yada yada yada. Then the story changed to it was a payment issue with the bank and so the order was cancelled. She knew this was another made up excuse as she told the agent that the money was withdrawn and not in Authorisation Pending mode and that the money was refunded. If it had have been the bank stopping the authorisation the original transaction would simply be removed. In any case that information was never disclosed from the onset and if it had have been it would be a matter of contacting the bank to check if there was an issue. Because of Samsung's failure in providing a legitimate answer she now loses $100 from the GALAXY2025 promo as it no longer is $200 and loses the members bonus which included the earbuds pro. The issue was raised with support and they have advised her they have no means to offer an alternative code to match the $200 value nor have any influence over the Members promotion campaign. She was told the case manager that was originally assigned when she wasn't getting anywhere with the order status regarding her invoice was in fact a person who could not have done anything for her and they just closed the case without notification. So another case has been raised but she has abosolutely no confidence in the outcome as she was told that Samsung is unable to reinstate the original order with the original discount values. They were reluctant to get a manager or someone with authority for her to speak to. The latest is they have filled out a form and will be in touch in the next 72 hours. In the meantime the clock is ticking. She really doesnt know what to do next.

            @harmanfin: Good grief. It's a joke that they promote how wonderful their AI is yet their support staff are clueless as to what the issue is. All they can manage to do is parrot off the notes from the previous agent and then begin to tell her their interpretation which becomes fodder for the next agent she talks to.

    • Did you use same device for trade in or there were 2 different S8 phones that you used for trade in for both the orders? It might be something with the trade in ID because of which the order would have been cancelled. The money taking for trade in value will be refunded soon.

    • You dont "lose anything" unless you reorder at a higher price I suppose. If she has a working phone it might be worth waiting for a month. Usually decent trade in deals pop up once the release hype dies.

      • That's the thing. Because they haven't offered her any solution if she was to reorder now she pays more as she has lost her qualified bonuses that she was entitled to at the time. So far I've only seen posts that say the best deal is at the early preorder period.

        • If I am not wrong, she won’t lose $100, as you only now need to include $100 worth of accessories instead of $200. I saw a comment from someone above regarding this.

          • @OZBsince2018: For that to work she would have to forgo the Earbuds Pro and buy 2 power adapters. Not much of a workaround.

          Could always go for the regular s25 or s25+ to save the extra cost.

          Yeah itll be hard to beat the deal last week but im sure something will best the current offer without the extra codes. Maybe have a look at previous phones and see if theres a trend (s24/23/zfold and flip)
