Scored big on the i7 model second hand for $1000. Screen is excellent. Laptop is well built and portable. Using G-helper is beneficial also.

Only downside so far is the headache of Microsoft's stupid modern standby which drains battery and heats the laptop whilst in sleep mode. However from the forums it affects all laptops running windows 11.

    • where did you get it second hand? just of fb marketplace or something?

      • Yeah FB marketplace

    • On my rog ally with win11 I changed my power button from sleep to hibernate. Games wake a bit slower but never crash and there is next to zero power drain. I haven't tried this on my laptop yet but maybe give that a try

    • G helper is awesome, I uninstalled armoury crate after discovering G-Helper

      • Did the same uninstalled armory crate and using G-helper only love it !

A really good price for an excellent laptop. Just be mindful that RAM is not upgradable on this model.

      thanks,16 is just not enough.

Yeah paying for this price I would expect 32gb ram + 2TB, plus its an Asus, such an expensive laptop if claiming warranty might be painful with them, better wait for anything popping on lenovo outlet instead … $2600 these days is a lot of money, need to spend it wisely …

          Have to agree

@Pashka: Exactly, the following HP deal on all the time same $$$ is 3X better value !!! Unless some stupid diehard fans who wants to waste their cash on Asus.

For the same money why not 4080 instead!

@kaikor: A laptop is the sum of its parts - not just about getting the highest spec GPU at the lowest possible price.

Chassis design and build quality, display, keyboard, and other components all play a role. Even the size and weight of the charger matter, making a big difference in the overall experience.

      • Geeze my 9 year old MSI has 32 lol. Still works flawlessly and can't upgrade to Windows 11

    • as in the memory is glued? can't replace at all? 16gb seem underwhelming..

  • It’s always a crazy big price jump going from a 4060 to 4070 system ($1200+) when there’s only a $400 difference on the cards themselves.

For a proper implementation, it also means more engineering effort, extra phase change piping, beefier VRM/power delivery, etc. While I understand the sentiment behind your comment, there is nuance here that is often overlooked.

  • This laptop is awesome been using for gaming and work, oled screen, size, everything else, awesome. Perfect size and portable/light. Sold my steam deck when this launched and put the cash from that into a new one of these, grabbed a portable laptop stable table with built in mouse pad and sit on the couch playing poe2 and other games. Great price on sale.

Edit: I got 32gb ram model though, not sure that really makes a huge difference if you play certain games, just be mindful if you mess around with ram heavy games/programs.

    • Yours with 32gb ram will be fine, if buy this one will be very frustrated according to some reviews:
16GB ram is enough?: I think ASUS dropped the ball on this. They should have at least made this laptop minimum 32GB especially for the price they are charging. Even doing my office task, I run dual monitor setup and my memory sits at a dangerously high 90% usage. I'm just at the bare minimum right now. It also doesn't make too much sense to fork over an extra $800 for the next model up.
