Wow, these things actually come new and not 10 years old for $200?

    • +2

      This or 10 N100s?

    • +10

I'll wait for 10 years to buy this for $200.

      !remindme 10y

    • +2

Heh, I actually read the title as "Lenovo tiny PC" and "$127" and was about to buy two.

  • +6

Isn't that a waste for an office PC?

    • +1

Only if you do basic office tasks.

    • +11

This thing is going to be in the office for 10 years.

      • I can attest to that, we're still using 10+ year old lenovo SFF PCs at work, only upgrading them this year to similar tiny PCs as in this post due to Windows 10 support ending in October.

    • Might as well get an m4 mac mini as an office pc.

      • If you’re not needing custom Windows business software you could .The virtualisation would need to be done on an ARM version of Windows 11. Not everything runs on that right now.
MYOB can go through a web browser so that’s ok.

  • Curious how its mounted in the first photo in the description, doesnt seem to have any fittings on the underside but also no bracket showing on the back of the monitor

    • +1

That's just one of the Lenovo tiny in one monitors.

Has a built in slot at the back and you just slide the PC in.

  • +6

Too expensive compared to mini pc despite the fact it is using a desktop cpu. Can have a better performance mini pc with way less money

    • +2

As the owner of way too many Mini PC’s - new and used - I’ve got many devices which are fantastic value and perfectly suited to their various roles.

But I don’t know of any that are cheaper and have better performance than this. Can you point one out?

  • +7

You can get a mini pc (Beelink, GMTek) with Ryzen and 32GB RAM for much less, $479 on Amazon.

    • +1

Can you link the 32GB Ryzen mini pc for $479?

Dell Refurbished OptiPlex 7020 Small Form Factor(16 GB RAM/512 GB SSD/14th Gen Intel Core I5/Windows 11 Pro)

    $919

    • +2

That is small form factor, whereas the one in OP is Tiny.

  • I am a fan (and own) an Lenovo laptop but honestly who designs the desktop range, they are and have been uggo for decades

    • It's a teeny tiny PC form factor! What do you want, flames on the side 😂 honestly these are so small that once you set them up, they're either behind a monitor or mostly invisible anyway. So tiny.

  • Can this support a monitor and a tv? what are the best options for this?

    • +1

Most definitely! It's got displayport 1.4 and hdmi 2.0. I'd be using the DP on a monitor, and the hdmi into a TV.

      Here's more info from Gemini.

The Intel UHD Graphics 770, while capable of 4K output, is not designed for demanding 4K gaming. It's best suited for light tasks, media consumption, and lower-end gaming at 720p or 1080p with low settings.

      4K Output Capabilities:
The UHD Graphics 770 supports 4K resolution (4k60) via HDMI 2.1 (thus post pc has 2.0) and DisplayPort 1.4a (8k60).

      Gaming Performance:
It's not a powerful gaming GPU. Expect to play older or less graphically intensive games at lower resolutions and settings.

      Demanding Games:
Games like Cyberpunk 2077 or Dying Light 2 will likely struggle to run smoothly at 4K with this integrated graphics card.

      Alternative:
For better gaming performance, consider a system with a dedicated graphics card.

      Other Uses:
The UHD Graphics 770 is suitable for everyday tasks, web browsing, video playback, and light productivity work.

      Benchmarking:
In 3DMark Time Spy, the UHD 770 at stock settings showed a GPU Score similar to that of a Vega 6 with DDR4-3200.

I should also note, I use 5 Dell Optiplex micro form factor PCs in classrooms connected to 4k TVs, and they appear to perform totally fine even loading up 4k YouTube vids. That's the most stress I've put them under. People mostly just present PowerPoints on them.

  • +2

The miniforum's mobo is a better deal if you want to DIY, can also add extra RAM.

I totalled to about $1100 including an RTX 4060

  • +2

    https://www.amazon.com.au/MINISFORUM-UM870-Slim-Processor-Co…

Same CPU benchmark results for $679.99 with 32GB RAM and 1TB…. $679.99

  • OP you might want to update the title to clarify its the 14700T, which will perform a little lower than the normal 14700.

  • These come by default with 3 Year On-site warranty which is more in line what corps require. They are buld to last. If it's something cheaper with better specs that one is after then yeah plenty out there but won't necessarily be same warranty or build quality? Comes down to ones needs.

  • I am not even even joking but for that price i expect at least a 1 TB SSD and 32gig of ram. You can get 4060 PCs for less than this.

Also the upgraded $1299 M4 Mac mini is a better value proposition and you can do more with it and this is coming from a Windows guy.

  • I still have 8 years old Intel i5 Nucs running well with windows 11. Lenovo make good mini PCs but they are bigger than those intel boxes.
