    Tyre Inflator+ Delivery - $14.99

    Is this the inflated price?

Reviews seem to indicate it's very slow, is only battery powered (so you have to keep tabs on the charge levels) and the hose is very short, so it's not suitable for car tyres.

It took more than 40 minutes to top off two car tires from 27 psi up to 35 psi.
I finally gave up on the second tire when it got to 32 psi.
    Who has that much time?
If you have a small leak in a tire, this would not keep up with the leak.
And it was fire hot when I finished. I had to use gloves to pick it up after burning my hand.
This might be OK for bikes and balls, but do not plan on using it for car tires.
And the gauge does not seem to work. It will stay on the same value forever. But the unit shuts itself off after several minutes. And then it shows a higher psi value.
The whole thing is just a complete waste.

    Japanese review (translated to English)

This is a lock-shaped electric air pump that fits compactly… but it's too powerless to inflate a car.

When I tried putting air up to 220 Kpa into the 167 Kpa tire, it took close to 8 minutes 30 seconds. Even if you keep it for emergency preparedness, it would take too long and I have to say that it's out of the question. This powerlessness isn't just a bad thing, and it seems that the battery lasts just as good. Even if there is a trade-off between the power and battery life issues, it is probably a problem that precious time is wasted because of that.

The operation method is such that you can operate it if you do it properly, so I think it will be fine even if you don't have an instruction manual.
I was impressed that this was a good idea because the hose is filled into the top of the main unit like a padlock for storage, and the attachment holder is also attached to the hose. However, since the hose is too short, the fixing method for holding it for a long time when inflating the car is limited. It also vibrates a lot, so if you just put it on the ground, you're desperate to play around and damage the main unit.

There is a description in the manual that it is in-vehicle type, but since it is equipped with a battery that is sensitive to heat, leaving it in a car that gets hot is cash because there is a possibility that it will ignite or explode.

Since it is weak, it is not suitable for automobiles or large motorcycles, so it is recommended to use it on mopeds, bicycles, etc. I think they'll be a good partner if you carry them around in a hurry.

    • It took more than 40 minutes to top off two car tires from 27 psi up to 35 psi.

      Holy shit

It's a good small inflator but two flaws with this.

The tyre inflator quick lock is a separate item. The included screw on one isnt really suitable but does work.

The stupidity of the aluminium design means if you leave the thing sitting on the ground inflating the tyre, the vibrations are enough to self-scratch and dent the device.

  • Any suggestions for better alternative for car tyres?

Want something small to keep in the car. Have an EV (with V2L), so a compact portable unit that can run off mains power would be ideal - but seems most compact/portable ones run off battery, and only the massive air conpressors are plug in? (Battery is fine)

Yeah I haven't seen any truly compact mains-powered units, they all tend to be pretty big (but at the same time they are far more powerful and fast).

For battery powered pumps, I recommend the latest Xiaomi model, I believe it is the 2 Pro — expensive, but pretty good performance:

The older Xiaomi models are much cheaper but also significantly slower to pump.

I have one of these. It seems to do the job. Bought it when they were clearing out the kit version many years ago.

      • I have the same one. Haven't tried inflating car tyres yet. Took seconds to inflate wheelbarrow tyres from flat to 30psi. Have you tried inflating up car tyres?

    • So you car doesnt have a 12v cigarette lighter plug?

You can still buy a mains power converter if you like.

There are plenty of compact ones that run off cigarette lighter, like this

      • Yes it does have 12V. But it has V2L accessible externally, so that would be marginally more convenient.

(Would rather leave the charging door open on a hot day, while waiting for it to do its thing, rather than leaving one of the car doors/windows cracked open. But not a massive deal.)

  • Showing as $29.99 for me.

  • Got one. Perfect for bike tyres, Basketballs and such.
I have used it on car but as said. It does take a while.but def work. Ordered another one for stock filler for oldest son to take on his bike rides.

I wouldn't use it on large 4wd tyres. Perhaps to top up. Don't think it would make it completely with one. But probably enough to get you out of there.
