  • Hopefully it's all categories (the min spend and cap gives me some confidence), fingers crossed.

$20 from last 10% cashback is yet to be tracked.

    • It's a roll of the dice with Shopback. Some good, some atrocious.

    • If it's been about a week / past the date where it stops "checking for cashback" - which is under the "I don't see my online CB yet" section.

hit the Report button and submit the details. If you do nothing, you are pretty much guaranteed to get nothing, its not going to track if its already past the point of "checking".

  • If im buying an item from overseas is that still okay or does it need to be in aus?

  • +7

Cashback on Shopback is like buying a lottery ticket, you will always win small prizes but miss out on the big ones. They always have excuses not to give you cashback, and if they don’t, they simply ignore you.

    • yep, the only thing you can 100% count on are the gift card cashbacks, which are also fast and easy to get. Just had my good guys being reset to 0 for no reason.

    • +1

      Teach you what? A lesson?

      • +4

        Most likely one in grammar.

  • Do those automated $5-10 eBay plus discount codes make this invalid?

And is it single purchase, or can we make multiple purchases with each having $30 cap?

  • +10

The fact they make coupon codes excluded makes this rubbish

    • +4

eBay has been ok with being rubbish for years

  • +1

Screen record every transaction. Shopback eBay tracking is atrocious

  • +3

I'm surprised at all the people having issues with Shopback tracking, I've had over 20 transactions and never had an issue.

I primarily use Firefox as my daily browser, which has all my tweaks, extensions, etc.. so I don't use this as it may block tracking

And I have Chrome installed, a vanilla installation, and I also install the extensions for Shopback, Cashrewards, etc, and I enable only the one I'm using whenever I do the transaction, nothing else.

    • +3

I think it’s since most use coupon codes which ShopBack states means your purchase won’t track.

  • +2

    When does this start?

    • Banner says 9 Dec, could be all day or limited.

  • +4

    Confirmed via banner:

    20% (min $100)
    10% ( <$100)

    • Also available: 10% bonus cashback ($20 cashback per transaction) via Apple Pay

  • Whats the sweetspot to maximise % discount?

    • +2

      $150

      • Or is it $165 incl. GST?

  • -5

Hey Fam! We apologize for the confusion with the eBay deal.

The correct Cashback offer is 20% cashback capped at $30 for orders over $100. There's no additional 10% cashback for orders under $100.

We're working to clarify this on our platform.

    • Discount code invalid?

    • +10

This is not cool. I made sure to double check the conditions in the app before making a purchase and I've only just seen this. Really poor form.

    • Not great, I bought on this basis and not used my ebay plus $5 thinking that will result in $0 cashback, but I should have used that instead

  • +1

@gotyourback Can we have mutliple items in cart from different sellers to make it over $100?

    • +1

This is a good question @gotyourback

Do the individual products in the transaction need to be $100+ each?

      • +2

Yes, you can combine multiple items from different sellers in your cart to reach the $100 minimum spend for the 20% cashback.

        • Can use partial gift cards, and then St George card on Apple pay to get 10% bonus + 2% bonus?

          • +1

@lilkid28: Yes, you can use a combination of gift cards and your St. George card to take advantage of either the 10% bonus and 2% cashback. The Bank bonus will not be stacked. It will depend on which option you choose. If you use Apple Pay option you'll get 10% Bank Bonus and if you chose to use St George Card directly, you'll be eligible for 2%

        • +2

Hi Rep. I did exactly this - spent $130 from a combination of both stores (total basket amount from two sellers) and my Cashback didn’t track at 20% - only the usual percentage rates for each item - so instead of getting $26 ish back, I got back about a dollar in total.

This is the second time in a month your big promo hasn’t tracked and your AI bot is really frustrating to get past to speak to a rep. Can you help me?

          • +2

@Vertigo6: It happened to me too. Spent $130 at 7.40pm on one item and only tracked $1.30 (ie 1% ) only!

          • +2

@Vertigo6: Vertigo6 I checked this morning and I am also in the same boat.
Purchased the same amount and has tracked at normal rate, instead of 20% .

No giftcards or codes used. Clean run through to order confirmation.

            • @Pandaboss: I've managed to report mine via the chatbot. They're putting me through to a person who'll get back to me in 2 days after going through the 'choose your own adventure' options and supplying screenshots and what I expect to be my cashback amount… I'll let everyone know how I get on…

  • @gotyourback

    Home & Garden/Appliances (Orders Over $100 (Capped $30))
Does anyone know if this is only for home appliances and garden appliances? such that seeds etc. won't qualify

  • +1

is the cashback cap per order or per user?

    • +2

it will be capped per order

  • has anyone gotten their cashback yet?

    • +1

eBay takes about a day to track.

  • So we are able to get $50 total cash back stacked with Apple Pay 10% on orders above $200?

    • should be $53 in total including the app $3 bonus

  • Bought a couple long expiry boost sim cards. Hopefully both track properly…

  • Sporting goods ?

  • Do we need to empty cart before hand?
Also, we can't add from the wishlist? "Ensure that you DO NOT add products to your eBay wishlist and purchase/bid over 24 hours later, as Cashback may not be awarded."
I have like 10+ items that I am buying, it's almost impossible to search for them manually if they're not in my wishlist or cart.

    • Could you have saved the URL and open each add to cart after shopback app?

  • can we combine items from different categories to hit $100 or does it need to be all from the same category?

    • From rep above "Yes, you can combine multiple items from different sellers in your cart to reach the $100 minimum spend for the 20% cashback"

      • yes i saw, but that's different sellers, not different categories

  • is this extended to 10pm? APP showing 2+ hr left.
    still struggling sth to buy…

    • @gotyourback does the promo upsize end at 8pm or 10pm?

I have the same timer on app.

    • Same- NFI whether this is still running

  • +2

I've made a purchase and screenshotted that the app shows up till 10pm to argue my case if required

  • +10

My cashback tracked as $1.65, I spent $109.95.
Will the correct cashback be applied eventually or do I need to look at querying

    • +1

      Same issue, I got $1.56…

    • same
Purchased $189, paid with $175 ebay Giftcards + $14 westpac card (apple pay)
      only tracked the 20% of $14 ($2.83)

@gotyourback will the issue be rectified or I need to send an enquiry?

    • +1

Same here, says I spent $109.85 (I spent $110 + postage) and tracked at $1.10 which is incorrect, plus it hasn't given me the Westpac 2% bonus (yet)

      @gotyourback - Please investigate

    • +1

Mine also tracked at the not-boosted rates.

Will give it a few days and then escalate - but the in app support is terrible as it's an AI chat system. And emails don't get replied to either.

Have to escalate via @gotyourback to get any resolution.

    • Same here. Spent $105 on a mouse, tracked as $1.05. No 20%. @gotyourback what’s going on please? Didn’t fall foul of any other ineligibility criteria..

    • Yeah same… spent $160, got $1.60 SB
      annoying!

  • +5

Another one impacted by the incorrect tracking amount.. @gotyourback starting to get frustrating needing to escalate to you half the time for these promos

  • +3

Mine also tracked wrong… $104.49… tracked at $1.04.

  • +1

Same here. Shopback has tracked that my purchase was $115.18, but is only going to give me $1.15 cashback.

  • +1

Incorrect tracking for me $1.10 for a $109.99 purchase. @gotyourback can this please be checked

  • +1

Incorrect tracking for me as well. $110 purchase tracked at $1.10.

  • +1

Incorrect tracking for me too. Purchase of $169 but cashback tracked $1.69 😞

  • +1

Same as everyone above. The Apple Pay/st George tracked properly. But the 20% tracked as 1% rather than the boosted rate.

  • Same here, spent $120, tracked at 1%. Soooo annoying. Ticket lodged.

  • Tracked wrong, only $1.76 for $118 purchase. Is there actually anyone got tracked at 20%

  • Tracked at just total $1.52 base cashback on $101 spend… not happy, Jan.

  • +2

I got 4 items for 100$ yesterday, tracked today for ~1$.
Could someone update us here as many people are having the same issue. I am tired of this shit.

  • +3

    @gotyourback
Could you please update us! I want to reach out to the ebay seller if they can cancel my order if we're not getting 20% on 100$

  • all my upsized cashback (mostly shopback and topcashback) either don't track or have some issues.. regular cashback track normally haha
Either a coincidence or a business model

  • One order with 2 items from different categories. Tracked separately at unboosted rates.

  • Seems like a systemic issue with everyone not getting the upsized rate, I spent ~$150, tracked ~$2. Have raised a support ticket. At one point I saw the rates updated to say 20% for orders over $100 instead of breaking up the individual categories (confusing if you purchase across different categories to reach $100), anyone screen capped that?

  • +1

Has anyone got it tracked correctly? I also got $1.6 on a $107 purchase. The Apple Pay bonus seems to have tracked okay.

  • Same issue here upsize cashback not tracked correctly.

  • @gotyourback Hi, i made 4 separate transactions (all over $100 in total) with 11 items in total. Every single item got tracked at 1% instead of the 20%. could you please look into this. Thanks

  • Looks like I got the same issue as well. Bought two items in the same order with combined amount >$100 but was only tracked at ~1% instead of the expected 20%.
The applepay tracked correctly at 10% though.

@gotyourback can you follow up on this for everyone here please.

  • Yup - same - spent about $108 ex gst and got about $1.80 - this issue is more widespread and needs to be rectified.

  • +1

i spent $112 in the electronics category. westpac tracked at 2%, apply pay at 10% and standard cashback at 1% instead of 20%.

  • Me too alas. Tracked only $1.79 (1%) for a $179 purchase instead of the full $30 capped. Kind of glad I’m not the only one here as that suggests it must be a Shopback glitch or something. I did screenshot everything and raise a ticket with Shopback.

  • +1

10% applepay + 2% bank bonus tracked, 20% on spending of $115 not tracked.

  • My purchase not tracked for me yet. Transaction was at 5:48 pm

  • @gotyourback - my purchases ($115 in total one transaction) also didn’t get the 20% cashback as advertised in OP.
Could you please help and clarify?
    TiA

  • Also, not tracked at 20%. We only got 1% for 12 transactions.

    What a mess…

  • +2

The fact this is so widespread should mean this gets fixed… surely? Hopefully we’ll get confirmation that it’s a known issue and is being rectified.

  • Spent $210, didn't violate any rules, received the cap $20 from Apple Pay, $3 bonus on $30+ spend challenge, but only tracked $4.19 regular % which should be the full $30 cap from the bonus 20% $100+ spend. @gotyourback

  • +2

So many Shopback mess ups these days. Bring back the old gotyourback who always fixed problems for us!

  • +15

    Hey everyone,

We apologize for the cashback tracking issues with the recent eBay sale. We're aware of the problem and are working to fix it.

All orders over $100 should receive the correct cashback, including the Westpac bonus. We'll be fixing and ensuring all orders over $100 receive the correct cashback.

Please allow some time for the system to update. If you still see incorrect cashback after a few days, feel free to reach out to our support team through the ShopBack app or website

    We appreciate your patience.

    • +1

thanks for the update - will stand by

    • Just confirming, the checkout total should be should be >100$ right?
No need to calculate/subtract taxes or anything of that sort?
Mine was 100.78$ (4 items - all local - 1.1$ tracked already) however, if I won't be getting the 20% cashback for any reason, I'd prefer to try to cancel some items as I can get them cheaper elsewhere.

    • Hope it gets fixed soon. Didn't use any voucher and relying on this 20%, so really need ShopBack to fix it.

    • Since the update, my cashback actually decreased (from $1.40 - $0.58 for a $148 item). Do I report a missing cashback on 16/12/24 or are you still working to fix the issue? Thanks.

  • +8

Same shit, different week with shopback. No doubt this will get fixed but come on, this is getting ridiculous now.
Two advertisement errors matched with an upsized tracking error.

    • +1

There were also three different ending times for the deal: 1/ Time posted here 2/ Time on app 3/ Time on website all 2 hours different
Shopback seems disorganized with many errors - does not inspire confidence

  • Great. Now my tracked amount reduced to 58c from $1.40 for a $148 item.
