Perfect size for my pet ant.

What PC did you get for the ant?…..asking for an ant friend

    • Is that what she said?

Definitely first world thinking, 2x 24” monitors would be a pretty sweet setup.
15 years ago you would’ve been the coolest kid on the block with dual screen HD 100Hz monitors lol for that matter a 24” HD monitor on is own was pretty sweet you could get TVs that were bigger pretty cheap but not 100Hz monitors.

      I’m getting old, clearly!

      • In 2010 I had a FHD 21" Dell LCD at work, with 2x17" 4:3 screens on the side, I made everyone in the company wow-ed.

        • +2

21" was small even by 2010 standards.

        • +1

Meh. A 21" Trinitron on Sun workstation - that was wow.
64Hz, 1280x960. Tell that to young people today …

          • +1

@bargaino: Hmm, I must be young because I remember CRT 21" monitors were capable of 1600x1200, and 17" were capable of 1280x1024 at least.

            • @Mondorock: That does sound right. It may have been a 17" Mitsubishi Diamondtron . But it seemed big to us.

      • +1

Yeah according to Steam, the vast majority are playing on 1080p so 24" is standard these days. Nothing wrong with it.

It can also be a good second screen when the main monitor is already large. Maybe have it on top playing YouTube videos while you're busy on the main screen. It's what I used to do when I played games more.

Barista Express is a fantastic machine.. makes a great cup.

    • Bought mine for something like $6-700 almost five years ago, still works perfectly.

  • A 23.8" monitor is a 16:9 version of a 22" 16:10 monitor. They're exactly the same height.

  • All time low on this 23.8" LG 100Hz IPS monitor(binglee.com.au), one of the cheapest brand new monitors available. 50% off RRP$159. 5ms response time. 1300:1 contrast.

    Anyone else seeing $88?

  • +1

Good Guys are also price beating by $10 via the popup on their site, bring it down to $78 (I'm seeing $88 on BL site, as well as HN)

(OK, just saw comment above, extra 10% off in cart)

Looks like there is 10% cashback for Bing Lee at Cashrewards at the moment, so worthwhile if pickup is an option.

    • You have reached the maximum number of gift cards or store credits that can be applied to this cart.

TGG only allows 2 gift cards online… RIP to my $5 GC's from SB

      • Bit of a crappy system but pretty sure you can use more than 2 in-store if you were going to C&C anyway.

Bing Lee has shipped to me in SA before. Also it let me do order just before

Almost bought the Breville yesterday. Glad I waited, thanks for posting!

  • I love it every time I see a deal on the barista express. I bought from Costco maybe five or six years ago for $620 which was good value at the time. It has still never skipped a beat. Under $500 is a steal, paired with a kg of dark roast ALDI beans and you make your money back within a month!

Or save more money and just use instant coffee.

      • While I kind’ve agree with you, it’s not the same thing is it? For people who enjoy a barista coffee most days this will end up saving them a tonne.
I have a coffee machine at work so I’m happy with instant at home but if someone gifted me a coffee machine I’d be wrapped.

  • dammit, i bought the OMEN for $110

    https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/880073

  • I got this monitor from Bing Lee eBay store last Friday when the cashback was 10% + 10% Westpac bonus cashback.

  • Will jb price match?

  • Is 5ms response time an issue for gaming? Seems high compared to gaming monitors.

  • +3

$78 for the monitor via the Good Guys price beat button

    • Nice! Save the postage!

  • So I did this through cash rewards before midnight (around 11:45pm). It came to $493.20. I when I went to the checkout it had changed to $548. I went ahead with the purchase so as to not lose out. Today I went to the store and they said I had to contact Bing Lee directly. I contacted Bing Lee today and they agreed to refund me some (not all) because on their system the sale wasn't recorded until after 1am. They agreed to charge me cost price which is $503 and refund me the amount in store..
