      Their reputation for this is pretty terrible. Google Assistant on some of my Nest mesh wifi points has just gotten more unreliable over the years, like intermittently not understanding me for things I’ve been doing for ages. Occasionally a restart would fix it but sometimes need to wait weeks for a software update.

  Local store couldn’t move them at $300. Ended up going for $200 a few weeks back. I bought and returned them after seeing the ridiculous subscription price ($24 per month if you want 24/7 video history). Hard pass

    For recording capabilities, I could agree with you. But considering that a decent LED spot light cost around $200, and you get the additional uses, this is too good bargain not too get for light alone.
