Was checking if there is a better deal but it's still the same as previously posted. Not sure if this has been posted elsewhere. Valid till 2 Dec.

Yesterday was $1200 FYI
Missed that. Hopefully will be that on Monday, mybe. Hopefully someone will highlight it if so.
It 99 a month on that one.
It could be $1000 a month. That is not the point of this deal.
@Sigmate: You would have thought the unusual amount of early termination would have alerted them by now.
HODL
yeah was 1200 yesterday. Honestly I have a gut feeling there will be one for 1400 between now and christmas
No way they’re that generous.
Had the same thought about Black Friday. I caved and bought yesterday. Paper hands
Yesterday’s deal was $10 more per month or $240 more over 24 months. For $100 less in credit, you’re better off with this deal
True, when I searched, I was looking at this one from a couple of weeks back which was the +$10 more one: https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/874635
Critical information summary doesn’t show the cancellation fee for the $89 plan.
Recently I signed up to their $79 plan and got $750 voucher plus a ring camera. I returned the ring camera for a $179 voucher and after a month of use ported out and cancelled the plan for $524…. Pocketing the $405 difference (I did pay $79 upfront though)
It's still showing as $800 gift card for the $99 plan, but the Voucher Repayment Fee is mentioned there.
Because its the $99 plan, just discounted $10/month for 24 months. It says "*plan reverts to $99 per month after 24months"
Ah ok that makes sense being $10 off the $99 so that’s $300 odd free if you sign up and cancel
In critical information
"Can I cancel my plan?
Yes, you can cancel your plan at any time by calling us on 13 50 75 or visiting a JB Hi-Fi store. When you cancel, your service will be disconnected immediately. We won’t refund any money you’ve already paid and you’ll need to pay out any remaining Voucher Repayment Fee."
"What happens when I cancel my plan early?
You’ll need to repay Telstra for any vouchers you received when you purchased your plan. The Voucher Repayment Fee (if applicable) is pro-rated, equal to the total amount of the base voucher divided by 24 and multiplied by months (or part months) remaining in your plan term."
And in Terms and Conditions
"Voucher Repayment Fee
6.2 If you received a JB Hi-Fi Voucher when you purchased your Mobile Service and you cancel
that Mobile Service within any applicable Voucher Term, you must pay us the outstanding
amounts for the JB Hi-Fi Voucher you received for the cancelled Mobile Service (the Voucher
Repayment Fee).
6.3 The Voucher Repayment Fee is a pro-rata amount, equal to the total amount of the base
Voucher divided by 24 and multiplied by the months (or part months) remaining in your
Voucher Term. For example, if received a voucher with a 24-month Voucher Term, then in:
(a) Month 1: You will need to repay 23/24 of the Voucher you received;
(b) Month 12: You will need to repay 11/24 of the Voucher you received; and
(c) Month 23: You will need to repay 1/24 of the Voucher you received."Not sure you will get anything "free" if you sign up and cancel? Or am I reading that wrong? EDIT: Or is it because it only states the $800 repayment in critical information summary instead of the bonus amount?
@AmperSand: I thought the same when I signed up, I rang customer service and they said and emailed me to say my termination fee is as per the critical information summary
@bangzzz: That's pretty good if they don't "change" it for the special deal and leave the critical information summary at $800.
A lot of stuffing around for $300. Do you still get charged the first month if you cancel immediately?
Anyone knows if Jbhifi price match Samsung education store?
Some store may price match it. Over the years I have found inconsistencies- the store manager price matched when Pixel 6 came out but the same store manager would not price match it when the Pixel 8 came out..
Deals are crappy this year. I remember they had a 23 ultra plus bonus galaxy watch with 300 something voucher.
For the $89/1200, guess we have to wait until boxing day
Can you data share between a JB mobile plan and a Telstra (direct) data plan, or is it only between JB plans?
The cheapest data-only plan with JB is $19 / month, and the cheapest data-only plan with Telstra is $10 / month.
There is no option for data pool unless they’re in the same plan. JBHiFi may be using the Telstra network but they’re 2 different services
Whst about sharing the data on an ipad?
The same goes above. I had signed up for 3 sim plans not too long ago and closed the accounts hoping to share the data to my existing Telstra data sim plan on my iPad. That was the answer I got from the person I spoke to on the chat.
I know that we will gain $300 profit but its in GC, and basically we still have to pay $800 in advance and are kinda of forced to spend money in JB right. :(
I have never done it, so can anyone tell me why its a good idea to do this ( I dont shop at JB often now, I used to buy games, movies and whatnot but not anymore).
If you are already buying something you need from jb then this is worth it.
My wifes phone died, i was buying a new one anyway, so i did yhis and got $1100 value for the price of $800.
If i didnt need anything from jb, then i wouldnt be doing this.
The idea is whatever you want to buy from different retailers, you can buy the same thing from JB HIFI with price match. you would end up savings more from JB Hi-FI this way.
Anyone know if this is any better than the one currently offered at The Good Guys?
https://www.telstra.com.au/help/critical-information-summari…
Both the same depending on which store GC you want i think.
I'm going to go sign up with TGG today, because it's much closer to my house, and really JB / TGG are similar for anything I'd want to spend $1100 on.
So they just give you $1100 to spend at JB Hi-Fi? Wow!
