Saleperson: Would you like to buy some elephant repellant?
Customer: But there's no elephants around here!
    Salesperson: See … it works.

  • how much for refills?

    • Around $35 off ebay but they last a while.

  • Thanks, bought one to try. Hopefully it stops me having to lather on DEET

    Don't forget top cashback.

    • DEET is the only thing that'll protect you against midgies, this thing MIGHT work against mozzies only

  • Works pretty good in Perth, WA but it's certainly not 40 hours duration and refill is expensive (razer blade principle).

  • I'm slightly confused by the listing.

It says includes 40 hour refill, but the image of the box says includes 12 hour refill. There is also the bundle deal of the EX90 plus a separate 40 hour refill for $90.

    https://www.amazon.com.au/dp/B0DLW7796W?th=1

Images from other stores all have the 12 hour refill in the box also.

So, I'm not sure if its $59 for the EX90 with the 12 hour refill that's in the box plus a 40 hour refill.

If it is, that's definitely a good deal.

I have had the E55 for about a month. It has the same coverage but less rugged and less battery life.

It was an impulse buy that I've only used a few times so far.

I am confident it has some real impact but I think it depends a lot on the exact scenario.

Great when the whether is relatively still.
Don't really need it if there's a strong constant breeze.
Probably less effective when it's mostly still but with strongish occasional gusts of wind that flushes it away.

But like I said, still early testing.

  • The refills are fairly cheap on Amazon right now, particularly if using cashback and/or gift cards.

    Thanks, I also bought one.

  • In the packaging it says only include 12hours refill.

    • I think you read it wrong, 1 refill = 12 hours

  • Damn, missed this one. Wish I bought one, hate the mosquito in the garden, drives me nuts.

    • Back in stock. 2 left I’m debating if I should try it

  • How do yall deal with mosquitos in the backyard? I need something that’s always on.

  • This works for me:

No Mosquitoes: Biting Midge & Mosquito Barrier Spray

Would love a more bee friendly alternative (was looking into the Thermacell for that reason)
