  • about HIsense.. 2 year into it.. it has light bleed.., 3 year warranty but do I bother???

Yes, definitely brother. Push yourself boundaries and be ultimate bargainer.. good luck

Heard their customer support is not bad. Give them a call, they might just replace it.

    • I got mine replaced . Then the new one shows same problems….

      • Then probably ask for refund or partial refund?

  • +2

I’ve dealt with Hisense before. They’ll assess the tv in your house if it’s over 75”

    • +2

I was able to get them out to assess my 65" tv previously as well.

      • +2

had them even replace motherboard on a 55” in home years ago

  • How does Hisense compare to LG/Samsung/Sony in terms of quality? Good price, but is it worth the risk?

    • -3

Definitely worst. Bought tv and fridge. Won't buy again.

      • +3

Beg to differ. Have a 65" TV 10+ years old running great, another 85" TV 3+ years old and have a fridge 7+ years.
Have helped many others buy 65" - 85" TV's and they are grateful for the price paid and the quality of the device.
Would not hesitate to buy or recommend to anyone again.

Ive had good experience my chest frezer is 10+ years and going strong. My 10+ year fridge has been relegated to beer fridge when i upsized.
Ive had a 65 inch q7 tv for almost 3 years and its going good.
My only hesitation is my desire for quality and value supports the chinese communist party.

      • -3

The Chinese Communist Party is great. We get lead to believe that they're bad here only because communism is the natural enemy of capitalism. Capitalism is destroying our world and needs to be replaced with the likes of communism as soon as possible.

It sits 5th in terms of quality.
      1-3: Sony/LG/Samsung
      4: TCL
      5: Hisense

      • +2

I would put TCL and Hisense above Sony and Samsung. Maybe not several years ago but certainly now.

  • +1

    This or TCL?

    • +2

TCL all day. Google TV OS is far superior.

      • Which screen is better? TCL/Hisense or any other tv brand within $800 for a 55-65". Mainly for watching movies/sports. I am going to use google tv Chromecast anyway so it doesn't matter what OS tv has got.

        • +3

I find this argument poor. You can add google OS to any TV with an external $50 adapter (chromecast, fire et all). Its much more important to look at picture quality & reliability of brand IMOP.

PS I own both Hisense and TCL TVs. I lean to Hisense for piccy quality but I buy Mini-Leds. Also of note is that its rare with TV threads to discuss if the panel is IPS or VA technology. However in computer screens they always ask this (and IPS has an edge).

          • @mybrains: Sure you can, I have found the OS being directly apart of the OEM software works alot better in my uses. But again - panel over everything like you said.

I've also had terrible after sales support from Hisense with a TV where the main board went bad. They eventually (after around 6 months) gave me full store credit for TGG so that was a plus - but I went almost 6 months with a 75" mirror on the wall.

That was a Hisense… R7? So not sure what the newer stuff is like

Counter to that, have had a few of the TCLs now myself and friends/fam have got them after seeing ours irl - no issues so far!
