FWIW, My Deal does say warranty is in accordance with ACL. I guess they cover the warranty. I have not claimed such warranty so can't comment how well that works though…
It specifically said in the MyDeal website that

So you send it back to them, they handle it, how long & how good/bad the warranty claiming experience I dunno :)

Bear in mind that this is the international XM5 model & not protected under Sony Australia warranty. If you have no problem with this fact, then it's a pretty good price.
