Dunno why they need a selfie or even my photo ID just to get a quote to trade in an old console… seems excessively invasive and needlessly creating a hacking target.
I believe it's because the trade-ins fall under the pawnbroking act which require proof of identity to trace stolen gear.

PS5 Pro sales are slowing.
Most people realise that PS5 performance is just as good and better value for money.
It's not "just as good", but it is close enough for most for sure.

Jb and other retailers use a third party (Assurant) and pay them commission so you'll probably get better trade values from EB or CeX

Where is the best place to trade in a PS4? Or better to sell on Marketplace? Or Cash Converters?
$310 for ps5 trade-in lol. Bargain i think not. Previous deals from EB way better
