Got the email this morning and considering an upgrade, worth noting that new licenses are now limited to 1 year of OS upgrades followed by $36/year after so upgrading from an old Basic/Pro license is only worthwhile if you need more storage devices. Sadly no discounts on the Lifetime License.

        I used proxmox for the last 2 years, and still do for some of my services, I have to say, unraid is really easy and just works, I migrated most of my services such as plex, home assistant, Cloudflare and set up immich all in a matter of 2 days and it once again it all just works, the app templates are such a timesaver, I don't have to do complicated set ups for passing containers through a VPN, I just install an app with VPN config capabilities, plug in my PIA details and I'm off to the races. Its a no-brainer if you don't want to spend too much time. I will still use proxmox VMS are just plain better to implement on it.

    I ♥️ Unraid.

    In saying that though, Ive still got one of the legacy perpetual licences. I wouldn't be too keen to pay yearly for updates

        At almost $400 for a Unraid lifetime licence you might as well just get a Synology if you want something that 'just works'. It's not much more expensive, and you get the hardware too!

    You can get the unleashed slightly cheaper by buying the starter licence and upgrading to unleashed.
    Can also get a small discount on lifetime by then upgrading from that unleashed licence.

    I too am looking at the lifetime upgrades. But no sale.

    Anyone has any idea if I were to purchase another starter license, I could use stack that up with my existing starter license for another year ?

      I doubt it.

      You can extend your starter license at the end of / after your license term for $36 anyway.
