Hey Oz Bargain Community,

Drum roll please for our Black Friday Cyber Monday Main Event Sale (if you're flat chat please fell welcome to skip to the bold below)!!!

I've tried my very best to offer a super BFCM deal for you and even extended the delayed dispatch up until the end of February so you can real make the most of this pricing :)

Just a heads up that I think the industry is in for a bit of a wild ride in 2025 and this will likely mean prices increase across the board. I've been hearing some wild stories and market research is backing it up…The C Market (coffee commodities market, specialty coffee costs more, but increases in the C Market correlate to increases in Specialty coffee) is at it's highest in about 15 years, the FX rate for the AUD has dropped (coffee is traded in USD), shipping continues to experience delays and crop yields have decreased. With all of this in mind China has secured close $1.5 billion worth of coffee at this 15 year high price (this week the Coffee index market his a 47 year high, that's not a typo, it hasn't been this expensive for close to 5 decades) and I've heard farmer's are also holding back selling stock as they think pricing will continue to rise and so by waiting they'll get more. It's the old supply and demand matrix. I predict the price of beans will increase as will the price of a cup of specialty grade coffee at a venue (in the U.S. a cup of specialty grade coffee is $6 on the low end, $15 on the high end, most venues have a decent pour over around $10, which means AUD they're charging $10-$15 per cup) and businesses that don't plan well will run out of stock (it's already starting to happen). It's not all doom and gloom as we're doing our best to keep on top of changes, it's just a transparent look at how 2025 will likely look, turbulent times unfortunately will put come companies out of business, but on the other side of turbulence hopefully the industry will further improve the experience you have as in a lot of instances companies will be forced to create something special or risk going out of business. Anyway, ramble concluded, let's move onto the exciting bit AKA the deal!

We're offering you a 55% discount off our crowd pleasing Moments to Memories blend, 50% discount of our much loves Organic Grade 1 Peru Chanchamayo Single Origin and 45% discount on our all time crowd favourite Brazil São Paulo Single Origin. Furthermore, you can save up to a whopping 55% off equipment and accessories, we have new grinders (espresso and filter), scales (brewing and dosing cup), items for pour over and filter, brands include Fellow, Hario, Mahlkonig and more…:

1) Black Friday Cyber Monday Coffee Sale. Save up to 55%, from $20.03 per 1kg bag (usually $44.50 per 1kg bag) and $11.82 per 500g bag (usually $26.25 per 500g bag),

2) Black Friday Cyber Monday Equipment Accessories Sale. Save up to a whopping 55% off equipment and accessories, we have new grinders (espresso and filter), scales (brewing and dosing cup), items for pour over and filter, brands include Fellow, Hario, Mahlkonig and more…,

Deal valid for orders placed until 04/12/2024, unless sold out before. Dispatch can happen for you as near as Monday and up to as far as the last Thursday in February (27/02/2025), only exception to the rule is our PNG Highlands Single Origin which you can delay the dispatch for up to 19/12/2024. I've had several discussions with our delivery company partners who assure my they're ready for BFCM and that there'll only be a few days delay, but I'm not 100% convinced, so you can get our Moments to Memories blend dispatched as early as Monday 2/12/2024, but all the equipment and Single Origins featured in this deal will be dispatch from 10/12/2024 onwards just as a cautionary measure in case delivery companies have issues. I've extended the available dispatch dates so everyone can make the most out of this super special deal. Once a given dispatch date is at full capacity the green circle will be removed and date will turn red, first in best dressed :)

Some helpful info:

  • You're welcome to place multiple orders scheduled for dispatch at various dates (delayed dispatch) to make the most of this deal, we strive to dispatch our fresh coffee within 48 business hours of roasting
  • We're happy to accommodate dispatch date changes, you just need to select a new dispatch date either via clicking the "Edit or View Your Order" button in the order confirmation page or simply logging into you Lime Blue Coffee account
  • One dispatch per order
  • 500g bag packaging (it's resealable) is also available for orders larger than 500g this is an extra $4 per kg including the discount (normally $8 extra per kg) to cover the extra bag/s, label/s and time it takes to pack
  • Complimentary gift notes can be submitted via a reply message to your order confirmation email
  • The largest bag size we use is 1kg and it has a zip (it's resealable), for example if you order 4kg with 1kg packaging you will receive 4 x 1kg bags, you will not receive a single huge 4kg bag

For example, via this deal if you order 3kg of our Peru Chanchamayo Organic Single Origin bags it equals $69.75 or 3kg of our Moments to Memoires blend in 500g bags it equals $70.88 and thus unlocks FREE SHIPPING, as does 3kg of any coffee featured in this deal. Order placed! First time I’m ordering 3 different types of coffee at the same time. Thanks Tom ;)

    • +1

Amazing, thank you so much for that terrific order!!!

Love the trifecta combo order skills, sounds like you'll be all set to throw a coffee party :)

  • Thanks. Ordered a new batch as I am sipping on some delicious Moments to Memory

    • Wonderful to hear how much you're enjoying our delicious Moments to Memories blend, I really do appreciate the compliment :)

Thank you so much for another fantastic order, it really does mean a lot!

  • Whats your recommendation for milk coffee or latte ?

    • +2

      Nice question!

Our Moments to Memories blend, Peru Chanchamayo Organic Single Origin or Brazil São Paulo Single Origin are all delicious both black and with milk. Our PNG Highlands Single Origin is best suited to black coffee :)

  • +1

There is a secret deal for niche people - Mahlkonig EK43 Coffee Grinder for $3,665. A used one is already around 3.5k to 4k.
I just ordered each single origin to compare with Brazil Sao Paolo.

    • Love your hawk eye skills!!!

Thank you so much for the fantastic combo order, it's truly apprecaited :)

    • Yeah I was going to post a deal for it when I noticed, crazy price!

      • :)

  • Which beans do you recommend for an aeropress? :)

    • All work terrifically well for AeroPress, it really comes down to your personal flavour preference :)

      1) Do you have your coffee black or with milk?
      2) Do you prefer, chocolatey, sweet earthy (cerial), fruity or a combo somewhere in the middle?

      • I have it black and like a bit of floral-ish fragrance :)

        • Helpful response, thank you!

If our Kenya was not sold out I'd recommend that one. Next closest is our Colombia Cauca, which has hints of Jasmine in the aroma. If you're after a coffee features in this deal, then our Brazil Single Origin although note notably floral, it's your next best bet based on your feedback :)

  • Looks great! Just a question - 1kg is a lot for our family, how do I make multiple 1kg orders over time?

Eg I want one now, but then ideally the next 1kg in 3-4 weeks etc.? Do I make multiple orders now, select the soonest dispatch date, then leave you instructions to please space them out?

If one bag is available now and another is not available for dispatch until later - I assume I can also just request that in the instructions?

Thanks and sorry for 20 questions!

    • +2

Morning @etchebaster always love a game of 20 questions haha but genuinely you've gone about this the perfect way as it's always better to check first!

From both technological and financial perspectives our system is "One dispatch per order." If you'd like several dispatch dates you'll need to place several separate orders. Another solution to save you life admin and shipping costs would be to simply place a single larger order and store any bags you won't get through within roughly a month of the roast date in your freezer, this will drastically slow oxidation, thus extending the freshness while frozen for months :)

      • +1

        Hey Tom,
Is it all good to directly put lime blue bags in the freezer or should I use another airtight sealable bag to store beans in the freezer?

Also, once I open it, is it OK to store them in cannister or do they need to go in freezer again as I will be taking out 250g at a time from a 1 Kg bag?

        • +4

The most important thing if you freeze it (which I do as well) - when defrosting ensure the beans are at room temperature before opening as otherwise you'll get condensation on the beans. And you definitely don't want that.

Personally with my Aldi 1kg bags I split into 3 or 4 (if my daughter isn't around). Then freeze in thick ziplock bags. And then put the smaller bags in a bigger bag to protect them. When I need them just take out 350 or 250g bag and allow to come to room temp and use. This works better than freezing an entire kg as you'd need to let the whole bag defrost before opening. Meaning you are then freezing/defrosting/freezing etc each time there will be some loss of quality. IMO negligible for one time but I wouldn't do it multiple times.

          • +1

@tonydav: Thank you @tonydav. What I am thinking is I will put entire 1 Kg bag in the freezer after delivery and as you suggested, I will get it at room temperature before opening and then put the remaining one in the cannister. So I will freeze them only once until I open it. Once opened, I will store it in cannister and use it from there.

I have put all recommended coffees in my cart and shout 14 cents to avoid shipping.
Would need an entire 1kg to get it over the line.
    Won’t be proceeding.
Thank you though. First time buyer

    • +4

      Hey @Andrepmq appreciate the feedback!

We have 15 different products featured in this deal. I'd have to be some sort of math genius (which I am not) to ensure every single combination of order was over $69 and unlocked free shipping. In the deal post I provided two examples of 3kg unlocking free shipping "3kg of our Peru Chanchamayo Organic Single Origin bags it equals $69.75 or 3kg of our Moments to Memoires blend in 500g bags it equals $70.88." I don't know if you're keen on a solution or you've already moved on, but there's more than one way to skin a cat. If you simply order 1kg Peru + 1kg Brazil + 2x500g Moments to Memories you'll get the 3 different coffees you want for $72.46 including free shipping :)

p.s. I also highly recommend the PNG Single Origin, the 3 mentioned in my prior comment were just in response to the milk based coffee question.

      • I appreciate you taking time to find a solution and reply. I’m back

        • Terrific!

Happy to see you back :)

  • Hey Tom thanks for sharing this great deal. I was going to stock up but looks like dispatch dates are all gone except a few days of December. Are you guys considering releasing more dates? How long can I keep it in the freezer?

    • +1

Fantastic to know you're keen to stock up!

Hmm I just checked and I can see availability up until 27 February, please feel welcome to email a screenshot of what you can see :)

      • +1

I think it's the PNG Highlands Single Origin that is throwing it out. Same for me, if I add in that bean it only gives a handful of dates in December. However once I remove it, heaps of dates appear until end of Feb

        • Ahh I did remove it, you might be on to something as I found editng qty wasn't working either but I can just remove and readd. I removed the PNG option as I prefer white coffee lol

        • Yes that's the issue. But I want this as I drink mostly black. I've PM'd the OP as there are a lot of comments here.

      • Tried on a different screen and it's working (works on fold 5 inside screen in chrome, doesn't work on outer screen weirdly). Trying the SO you have recommended this time, thanks great deal.

        • Fantastic to know this deal is a winner for you @yygsdragon !

Thank you so much for the order :)

      • I have the same. 30 mins ago there were dates in Jan and Feb but these have all disappeared. I'm guessing a glitch.

        • +2

Hey @Travelling panda @yygsdragon and @tonydav never hurts to double check!

"Deal valid for orders placed until 04/12/2024, unless sold out before. Dispatch can happen for you as near as Monday and up to as far as the last Thursday in February (27/02/2025), only exception to the rule is our PNG Highlands Single Origin which you can delay the dispatch for up to 19/12/2024." We're super low on our PNG Single Origin, so it's unfortunately not viable to dispatch it in January or February from a production perspective. I think it'll likely sell out fairly quickly and all the PNG will be dispatched super fresh by around the 3rd week of December. You could always get some dispatched in December and simply freeze it until you're ready to get stuck in :)

          • @LimeBlueCoffee: Thank you for responding ….Totally missed that sentence….Got too excited with this deal and having so many varieties to purchase.

            • @Travelling panda: "Too excited," terrific to hear our main event BFCM deal is a winner for you :)

Hey @Murpha appreciate you taking the time to reach out!

I completely appreciate in most industries shiny means luxury/high quality. However, we've found in the instance of coffee, shiny beans usually result in bitterness overpower the flavour, as the roast is so dark the internal coffee oils are penetrating the outer surface of the coffee bean shell. Decaf is sometimes a little different to dial in than caf due to the process altering the structure. However, I can promise with absolute certainty we dispatched fresh coffee to you and I suspect if you had to go super fine on the grind, either your burrs need replacing or your dose/grind need adjusting as your shot may have been channeling (too much pressure, water escapes via path of least resistance, bypassing coffee, usually results in a watery, sour shot lacking crema. I'm happy help in more detail if you'd like, simply send a reply email to your order confirmation and we can go from there :)

      • Appreciate the follow up. I've tried decaf beans from several of OzB favourites, as well as more local ones, and they've all been within the same ballpark for grind settings. I've only ever gone this low with Vittoria decaf. The machine is only a few months old, so I'd be surprised if the burrs are shot. Runs 9 bar pressure during extraction. I use a bottomless portafilter for observation, and don't believe I witness any channelling. It does produce crema. What dosages do you recommend for both single and double baskets (single walled)?

        • +2

Unpublished original post expressing freshness concerns regarding the decaf blend (dryness of bean). Upon reflection it came off as a little too accusational (wasn't intentional). Will leave this post to provide context. Appreciate the replies

          • @Murpha: Sincerely appreciate the thoughtful follow up @Murpha :)

The dosage depends on the machine you have…what's the make and model of your machine?

            • @LimeBlueCoffee: Thank you and apologies! Oracle Touch, but have adjusted the tamper fan to decrease overall dosage, but still have it run high as it seems to be most consistent with the machine. ~13g for single, 23g for double. When using my timemore handgrinder, I usually drop a gram off each

              • @Murpha: Helpful follow up info thanks :)

For the Oracle Tough I'd recommend sticking to the 20-22g range, usually 22g has the best results on that machine. Regardless of the grinder I'd say stick with the one dose volume, as it's easier to adjust by limiting the changing variables. Final recommendation only use the double basket with the straight walls and larger surface area of extraction holes. Switching from single to double will wreak havoc on the extraction consistency and sticking with the single basket alone won't get you the best extraction results due to the curved walls and small surface area of extraction holes. Hope these tips are helpful for you!

    • +1

Different beans from different origins have different physical characteristics. Different decafination processes add another layer of variability. Follow that by different roast profiles… Apples and oranges.
All of these variables change the density of the bean, and therefore the optimal grind setting.

  • Hi Tom, I have an order of my 'staple diet' Brazil SP SO scheduled for end of January! If I place an additional order for late Feb then find I need to delay, will it be an option to push it back a couple of weeks? Thanks

    • +1

      Terrific question!

Spot on, via our unique post purchase self editing tech you're in full control of your order. In addition to altering product selections, shipping address, shipping method, you'll also be able to change dispatch dates. For example, if your order hasn't been dispatch and you see availability for dispatch in March, you'll be able to change the dispatch date with a few simple clicks :)

      p.s. love the diet haha

  • Great deals as always. I feel bad as I've never bought from you for full price!

    • +1

Don't feel bad about what you haven't done, feel good about what you have done, which is show us support with your terrific compliment and all your orders, thank you!!!

p.s. we get full priced orders every day, even today, so you never know you may join the full-priced club one day, but either way we're super happy you're a customer of ours :)

  • Recommendations for cold brew (mizudashi)?

    • All our options go down a real treat with the cold brew (mizudashi)!

What's your ideal go to coffee, paint me a picture, chocolatey, fruity, earthy, somewhere in the middle?

  • Considering grabbing a bag of the Natural PNG - is it as much of a fruit bomb as your page indicates? Last time I had ordered beans from you they were more on the darker roast / chocolatey flavour profile than I prefer, although that may just be because I typically gravitate towards light-medium roasts.

    • Sounds terrific!

It's wildly fruity, like the coffee version of a fruit punch in a cup :)

Hmm not sure on that front as we have a lot of different coffees a lot of which rotating…from chocolate to earthy to fruity (crisp and winey options) to floral and a wide spectrum in-between. What coffee are you referring to?

  • wow thats a cheap ek

    • Got to bring out the big gun deals to catch people's eyes for BFCM :)

  • Can you let me know which one is a strong and dark coffee similar to the Lebanese one for Vietnamese filtered method? Thanks.

    • Hey @Montyjpm always better to ask than wonder!

Just to ensure I provide a helpful answer, by "strong and dark" are you looking for bitterness, chocolate or earthy flavours?

  • My previous delivery has been delayed, looks like I'll have to grab some beans locally as a result :(

    "Pickup attempt was unsuccessful
    Awaiting rebook confirmation by sender"

    • Couriers Please? Saw this for the first time recently (not with LB) - was probably incorrect, came the next day. They get a LOT wrong… can't trust their tracking. Or parcel handling. Or delivery consistency. Or ability to follow handling instructions.

      • Yep, Couriers Please

        • Hey @Jezah there's been a few tech tracking glitches with CP (and for that matter Aust Post too) over the last month or so. Please send a reply email to your tracking info email and I'll double check it with them for you. @gav is spot on, that messaging is incorrect. CP pick up is always done the same day you get the tracking info email, if anything even prevented that happening e.g. a power outage…you'd receive a personalised email from us explaining the situation and also detailing the proposed resolution :)

  • @LimeBlueCoffee Is single origin ok for espresso or more suitable for drip?

    • Perfect for both :)

      • Thanks @LimeBlueCoffee
whats your suggestion for someone who likes medium roast and prefers chocolate/nutty flavours against the fruity ones.

        • Sure thing, I think the winning Single Origin for you would be our Brazil and the winning blend Moments to Memories :)

          • @LimeBlueCoffee: Thanks @LimeBlueCoffee I should order both but I just can't work out the freezing method and hate the taste :)

            • @VA13: Walk me through your freezing method, I may have some magic tips :)

  • Ordered the 1kg of Moments to Memories blend. Looking forward to trying it over my usual Aldi medium beans

    • Fantastic, thank you so much for placing your first order with us, it's truly appreciate and an opportunity I promise we won't take for granted!!!

  • Thank you for posting OP

The PNG Highlands Single Origin bean seems to be the culprit limiting dispatch date to within December 2024.
Can it be eligible for the delay dispatch as the other beans on offer for delayed dispatch till Feb 2025. please?

Thank you for your time looking into this.

    • Happy to know this deal's a winner for you!

As per other comment replies and the post "Dispatch can happen for you as near as Monday and up to as far as the last Thursday in February (27/02/2025), only exception to the rule is our PNG Highlands Single Origin which you can delay the dispatch for up to 19/12/2024" I know I do tend to ramble on and it's a decently lengths deal post, so can be easy to get lost in the text :)

  • Bought from the last two deals, excellent coffee and actually works really well on my auto (delonghi magnifica s).

    • Absolute music to my ears!!!

Thank you so much for your recently orders with us and your wonderfully uplifting vote of confidence, it really does mean so much :)

  • No love for Colombia? :(

    • +1

Tremendous love for our Colombia coffee!

It's just not featured in this deal as we're currently waiting on our next Colombia pallet to be delivered, which could happen next week or a few weeks from now, once we've received the restock we shoot out an announcement email :)

      • Awesome thanks Tom! Which one would you say has closer taste to Colombia? Brazil or Peru?

        • +1

          Sure thing :)

Hands down our Peru is closest to our Colombia, both geographically and flavour wise!

  • Great. I've been eyeballing for a while.

Any recommendations for mokapot? I like black coffee.

    • +1

Hey @Seni0r El Cheapo terrific to know we're caught your eye, fingers crossed this is the deal that gets you to pull the trigger!

From this deal I'd recommend our Brazil Single Origin for a chocolatey coffee, our Peru if you enjoy sweet, earthy cereal flavours and our Moments to Memories blend if you'd like some balance in between :)

  • Legends, ordered another 4kg for the office

    • WOOHOO for that outstanding order, thank you so much!!!

  • Hi, I have just received my 3kg order form your last deal. Wondering what the consensus is on storing beans until ready for consumption to keep them as fresh as possible?

    • +1

Freeze them. Ideally in single use bags (i.e. 250g or whatever you'll use in a week). Defrost fully before opening the bag to avoid condensation on the beans which is not good.

      • ^This.

You can use the re-sealable 250g bags if you have any lying around, or otherwise mason jars / airtight containers are even better.

  • Thanks, ordered for Feb :)

    • Fantastic, thank you so much :)

      Love your planning ahead skills!

  • Not sure if it's just me but there are no dates in January or February now.

They were all there when I started my order but by the time I'd worked it out they are all gone.

    • it's to do with adding PNG Highlands Single Origin to the order. Have PM'd the OP maybe he'll fix otherwise I'll have to pass as want that and don't want it until January.
  • I'm on top of my budget, so back to reputable coffee…so happy to have the Brazilian SO back in my grinder.

Interesting write-up on the short version of coffeenomics. Thanks again.

    • What wonderful news, very happy to have you back on the Lime Blue Coffee train, thank you so much for another order with us and the compliment of LB Coffee making the budget priority list, it really does mean so much!!!

Glad you found my write up interesting rather the excessive. Although to many it does look wordy, you're right that it's the short version of all the extra moving parts right now :)

  • Thanks for bringing the deal back - I just ordered the Fellow Ode! It took me too long to decide last time it was on sale and I missed out.

    • +1

Wonderful to hear and welcome to the Fellow Ode Club!!!

Thank you so much for your persistence/patience and pulling the trigger this time, I hope you enjoy it as much or even more than I do :)

  • only just bought the breville barista express machine. what settings do people use for limeblue to use the internal grinder option on the breville?

    • A great question, but also a tricky one for someone to give you the exact answer for. There can be slight calibration differences in Breville grinders and also the condition of the burrs does vary on use a bit. We put brew guides on the front of our bags, I'd recommend aiming for that as a starting point to help fast track your initial dialing in!

p.s. as you've got a 54mm coffee basket I'd recommend dosing 16 grams into your double basket :)

    • As mentioned already, there can be a bit of variation. There's also added confusion because in addition to the dial setting on the outside, the grinder can also be microadjusted inside as well (see user manual).

For my Barista Express, my grind setting is 5, internal unchanged from factory, and I dose 17g to get 34g out in about 27-30 seconds. This has given me good lattes and espressos.

Hopefully this gives you a good starting point and you'll just need to tweak the grind or dosage up or down to get the 1:2 ratio in 27ish seconds.

  • Hi Tom, I ordered 3kgs in total and deliver in mid December. Would the beans be ready to use straightaway or wait for another 2 weeks before using + freezer for the rest? Thank you got the deal!

    • same here, wondoering if can be delivered straightaway

      • Hey @xiazai0003 you're comment mentions "delivered," but you've also said your question is the same as @jus0212 query, so when you get a sec please take a look at my response to them and if it hasn't answered your question please feel welcome to reach out :)

        • sorry for confusion, I am wondering it can be delivered starightawary rather than wait unitl Dec?

    • +1

Hey @jus0212 WOW thank you so much for such a terrific order!!!

We strive to dispatch super fresh within 48 business hours of roasting, so the good stuff will be ready to go as soon as it arrives. However, you're on the money with your 2 week idea. Our coffee will hit peak flavour enjoyment 1-2 weeks from the roast date, depending on your location the order should arrive in under a week of the roast date. Love the freezing comment…if you're proportioning into fortnightly batches, then freeze 1-2 weeks from the roast date. If you're freezing into monthly batches, put it in the freezer as soon as it's delivered :)

      • Yes you are the guru that has taught me that from the previous order. Thanks for the detailed reply. I have learned more this time… Sorry just to clarify a bit more. If I put 1kg bag in freezer, once I want to start using the 1kg bag (3-4 weeks to finish), do I take it out of freezer and then only put back into the fridge from there onwards? What's your suggestion? Thank you :)
