No, it's not the Bambino. It is half the price however.
My mum has one of these and it works just fine.
Perfect stocking filler at $167.

Is this a pressured basket? And what is the filter size?
It's an espresso filter, so yes it's pressurised.
If you see the website it has a 52mm group head, which is on the smaller size compared to 58mm but perfectly fine.

Espresso baskets aren't normally pressurised. I don't use pressurised baskets with my espresso machine nor portable manual espresso makers - eg picopresso, rok presso or flair.
Right ok.. but the machine itself obviously has a pressure to push the water through.
Thanks for clearing that up
@Commodore64: Geez, posting bargains is now a lot of pressure.
@Commodore64: There is a difference. Cheap machines push water through one pinhole (pressurised basket) and aims to give you a tasty coffee but it isn't compared to barista made coffee, no matter how much you grind or what beans you use. Ive had pod coffees better taste than something from this kind of machine made by a barista so it does matter
@UberIsCool: Got it… This machine makes a decent drop.
@Commodore64: I reckon it might, just not as nice as the Bambino :)
@UberIsCool: Agreed, I recently replaced the Sunbeam equivalent with the Barista Express. It tastes about 10-20% nicer.
However if you're on a budget the sunbeam machine is still better than some offbrand or even Nespresso pod.
@Commodore64: Im about to replace my Sunbeam too :)
Looks like a rebranded delonghi.
Aldi have a similar De’Longhi machine as a special buy this Wednesday at $169. Would anyone perhaps know how it compares with Sunbeam? Always been pretty happy with Sunbeam appliances in the past.
Unfortunately, the Aldi catalogue and website don't stipulate the model number. There appears to be a few different models De'Longhi make that look like the picture provided. But I THINK it's the EC 680.
Edit: Looking around on Google for alternative places to buy the Sunbeam, Good Guys have it listed for $168. Gave me a pop up while viewing it to get Price Beat discount and get it for $157. I don't know how that pop up discount works, if everyone will get it when going to their website. But just pulled trigger at $157
I literally returned this the other day the boiler failed took extremely long to get a shot out. Also you cannot do more than one drink after one shot you have to wait a few minutes to get to the next one as the boiler has to cool down. Failed after 4 months of use. I just upgraded and got the Breville touch. Worth buying something higher quality imo.
To be fair, a better comparison would be the Breville Bambino.
These units would be a compromise for their small space and lower cost.
The Barista Express from Breville is great, the Sunbeam equivalent was also good but not quite as great (slower milk frothing).
I bought one of these a few months ago as a bit of an intro to barista style coffee at home after years on pods. I didn't expect it to be as good as it is for the price. I am almost considering buying another one just to keep in its box in the pantry for the day my current one breaks down.
