Breville The Barista Touch BES880 Coffee Machine $799.20 Delivered @ Breville

661
BrevRACV20

Need to select Black Stainless Steel for $999. This is the cheapest ever offered for this machine for $799.20.

I read all the comments on the last deal so you don't have to:

Also in the comments was yes of course try the cashback sites but might not work as code is not listed. Alternatively you can try Qantas shopping for 8 points per dollar, thanks to realdeal86.

Site can be a bit flaky. Had to add another machine in to cart and remove, then back to this one to get it working. Might be me?

  • Man getting hard to decide between this, the Pro, or just splurging for the dual boiler (benchtop space main issue tho)

    • Dual boiler. Treat yourself.
      U deserve it

      • +1

        Agreed 🤘

      • +2

Is the dual boiler really better than the Pro? I feel I'd prefer the pro for ultra quick warmup

From own and family/friends expriednce, these Chinese made Breville (and DeLonghi etc) models are good for 4-5 years - and do make a good cup - but then something inevatibly goes wrong ie a solenoid will go, pump loses power, they will start to leak, etc etc.

They are not worth fixing, so you buy another and repeat the cycle.

You are better off ponying up ~ 1K for an Italian made model, which are actually worth service and repair over time:

      • Anything other than the BDB at that price point will be a downgrade (e.g. single boiler). The BDB is king at ~$1000 price point - the top post in the link you posted recommends the BDB.

        • how many BDB have you gone through in the past 10 years?

          • @QuickToThePointless: 1 (4 years counting) and only issue I’ve had issue is water spout cover latch stopped working so just replaced it. O rings probably due a change soon so when it leaks I’ll just send it in for repairs. Otherwise it hasn’t missed a beat making at least 2 coffees a day.

      • That is not my experience with Breville, they usually last great. Plus it's an aussie company, and they have good customer service.

These don't have much to go wrong in them, and the touch screen is really great for prompting you to do maintenance, and walking you through it.

  • Code worked for the Bambino Plus, too - brought it down to $399. Not an all time low but great price for a very well-reviewed small machine.

  • Damn. Pulled the trigger on the BES920 at 15% off. $1079 is the lowest it’s been for a while!

  • Thanks, bought one!

Qantas Shopping's Terms & Conditions says:

"Double Qantas Points (8 points instead of the usual 4 points per AU$1 spent) will be earned for purchases on the Breville online store in Australia only made through the Online Mall between 12.01am 25 October 2024 (AEDT) to 11.59pm 31 December 2024 (AEDT).

Qantas Points will be earned on the price of the goods only and not on any GST, delivery charges or taxes. Qantas Points will not be earned on the purchase of a gift card; where a gift card or voucher is used as a payment method (whether for full or part payment); or where a coupon or discount code is used (unless that coupon or discount code is valid and listed on Qantas Shopping). Qantas Points will not be earned on cancelled, amended or refunded transactions. Individual retailer terms and conditions apply."

Used Cashrewards instead since code is not listed on both sites.

Amex has spend $500 and get $50 back. Probably targeted.

  • Ouch. Paid $990 from JB Hifi Black Friday Special a few days ago!

  • Got the Bambino. Hopefully I don't regret not getting the Plus version.

  • +1

Is this same as barista pro except the touch screen?

Could possibly get it for $650 (12.5% my amex shop and $50 cashback).

Maybe another $80 TRS if i put a random item in box and factory seal it with a sticker lol

    • I think the MyAmexShop cashback would be rejected.
Terms say "Purchases made using any voucher, promotion, discount, loyalty or shipping codes, other than those supplied directly by MyAmexShop, may not be eligible for credit."

      • -1

        may

        • Also says "You must not…Use offer codes or discount codes provided by third parties (including from the store or other websites)."

    • You dont need to put it in a box for TRS

  • Damn! At this price almost tempted to buy another one.

The Amex offer takes it to $749.20.

    • I think Breville stuffed up their website charging name as I got a notification that I made $799.20 purchase at Bevilles. Might have to chase Amex up if it doesn't get credited.

Waiting the dual boiler to be around $950 or below…

  • Thanks OP!!! under 800 was my trigger point on the touch. Looking forward to it!

  • Out of stock already!
Glad to have still purchased one for 15% off making it $849.

    • It's back in stock.

  • Using the code you can get the Barista Express in black sesame colour for $503.20 (all time low from what I have seen)

  • back in stock

  • Assume you cant use both codes?

  • Anyone else getting payment error?

  • Bought one!. Thanks OP!

  • it says out of stock again.

  • Good machine. Had one since 2019 and it's been awesome.
That being said, it is currently away getting repaired, so make of that what you will.

  • So between this for $799 or Bambino plus $399 and Baratza Grinder for $249 = $648.

The main differences I can see is the timer dose on this and the water tank (2.0l vs 1.9l) and the touch screen.

However appears to be an advantage to have a seperate grinder for option B.

    Am I missing anything? Thanks.

After reading lot of comments and watching YouTube videos, I eventually went for bambino plus and Baratza Grinder. Price for Breville Touch was very tempting but I always wanted separate grinder.

This would be my first proper coffee machine and so did not want to spend more.

  • This is crazy price!!! Well done!

  • Free beans just shipped. Hopefully that means the machine will be too! Fingers crossed Breville doesn't cancel orders.

    • Got the beans notification but also the tax invoice for coffee machine this morning at 855 so I think that's a good sign. I wonder if some poor guy/gal has just come into the office with loads of orders over the weekend and manually processing them.

      • The tax invoice I received just says backorders for the machine.

    • Cashback is ineligible on purchases using any type of discount which lowers the price on The Good Guys. This includes but is not limited to employee discounts, student discounts, negotiated deals, price-matching, and price-beating.

Not sure if that includes the price beat button?

      EDIT:

Actually looks like it does per comments here. Good stuff.

      • Thanks. I will remove my post

  • Is anyone having trouble getting the discount code from Breville? I was just on live chat with them and they said "We do not generate promo codes, please check our site for amazing Black Friday deals. As per the communications above, customer service does not generate the codes manually. We're sorry for the inconvenience caused."

  • Got mine delivered today!

    • Same here

  • For those people that were cluey and went through MyAmexShop cash back portal, more Christmas joy as they paid out around $186 in cash back on top of the $50 Amex cashback. Winning!

    • Pending then declined on TCB

      • Same, declined but knew that was going to happen.
