Excellent deal
Excellent Deal. Thanks
It was at 400$ multiple times before
Bought 2 990 pros, both had BSOD issues. Never again. Went with WD and not a problem since.
Same with BSOD, very disappointed with the 990 pro.
I was interested in this and googled up the issue.
Apparently setting it to "Full performance mode" fixes the issue. I'm guessing its not providing enough power and causing BSOD or disconnects
Still, it shouldn't be happening in the first place
Didn’t fix it for me.
I had one for a good 11 months and then it died/ keep giving BSOD. At first it seemed ok until you started using its full speed (copying data to and from it from other disks), I just put up with it and never copied data to it and just used it for windows and games (never used the full speed).
After about 8 months it started giving more and more random BSOD until it was just unusable. High performance mode in Samsung magician did nothing.
I then ordered a second one with the heat sink thinking surly this new revision version should be good. However it was worse, it arrived giving BSOD immediately.
Couldn’t even get into windows after a clean install. Eventually got into windows after days of trying and setting to high performance, but nope, this one was BSOD every 5 mins after boot.
Returned to Amazon, went WD, not a single issue.
Skill issue.
Ordered on 25 December 2023
Samsung 990 PRO Series - 2TB PCIe Gen4. X4 NVMe 2.0c - M.2 Internal SSD (MZ-V9P2T0B/AM)
Sold by: Amazon US
$173.18
I have no such issue for almost a year.
This or Lexar NM790 4TB? Which one better?
Or Kingston KC3000?!
So many options to cjoose from these days 😆
I replaced my 990 pro with Lexar NM790 4TB, no BSOD issue any more.
Why now HMB is preferred over DRAM? I don't get it. Or what am I missing…?!
HMB is much better than consistently endless BSOD.
ATL was $394.62 in april 2024
Combine with 10% off gift card and we've got a winner
thinking HODL for BF or pull the trigger
I doubt it will be better than $366 (with 10% off on gift cards).
can be used in laptops?
Yes, if it supports PCIe 4.0 NVMe M.2 SSDs.
Thank OP, I bought 1 for ~$366 with a 10% off gift card.
Where's all the 2TB SSD deals
Damn think all the Amazon UK ones gone, now $669 from Bleepbox AU.
Amazon US one available, but $463.52 so not as good :(
Funny how expensive these things are and only viable these massive discounts. No wonder no one just pops into the store to grab an SSD, or any tech for that matter.
I just got the wd sn850x for the same price, would rather the Samsung but theyboth seem just as good.
Amazon UK VIA Au… back in stock at $407 ,, or with the recent 10%off GC - $366 - what a deal !!

Problematic issues (BSOD) on my AW, swapped for the more stable WD SN850X instead.
Thanks op, ordered.
