Absolutely love mine have had it for a few months. Please keep in mind the bandwidth limitations on the "HDMI 2.1" it is not a real full speed 2.1 port, it uses DSC which is perfectly fine but if you have a nvidia gpu in particular 30 or 40 series nvidia's dsc driver implementation is horrific and can result in flashing black screens when tabbing in and out of fullscreen games and when waking from sleep. I fixed mine with my 3070ti by plugging it into my igpu and just setting everything to run on the 3070ti in software. Beautiful display but be aware of this! Not an issue on AMD gpus afaik.

    • Maybe I'm missing something but why not just use display port?

      • Nah you're fine it's confusing. Basically the reason the hdmi 2.1 being limited matters is because you HAVE to use displayport to hit 1440p360hz at all. And the displayport uses DSC to make that happen bc it's displayport 1.4 which doesn't natively support 1440p360hz without compression. The compression is fine but on some nvidia cards it has alot of issues like black screening. The reason this monitor is more at fault than nvidia is because other displays from msi and gigabyte with the same panel as this have full speed ports so its not an issue.

You know, when is ozbargain gonna add a tag for OLED monitors? Because OLED isn't technically LCD.

  • This or the Samsung G6 for less than $800 after discounts.

    • What current Samsung discounts are available?? I'd be keenon the G6 over the Alienware if it was 800

  • Is this better than the MSI MAG 271QPX QD-OLED E2, that is only $849.
