    Thanks, just ordered one!!

  • -1

Ordered let's see if it's the correct price

    • +2

It's a BF promotion on their home page so I'm guessing it's correct.

  • +1

No need, but ordered it anyway

  • +1

Amazing price. Ordered to replace my current one I bought for 150 couple years ago. Thanks op

  • Purchased for $75.05 using 5% Gift Cards then another $10 worth of EDR points. So $65.05 total. Great deal.

    • +1

From which deal you got 5% gift cards?

    • +1

Bugger, forgot the HCF 4% off giftcards….

  • Philips website says this is 6.2L, which is correct?

    • Yes

      • Sorry I meant big w website says 4.7L, so is it 4.7 or 6.2

        • XL is the 6.2L

Okay strangely, big w shows 4.6L
          Phillips page shows 6.2L

          I might be wrong

  • +2

Not sure if I want it but I guess FOMO kicks in… thanks bought from Woolies…

  • +2

Insane price, bought the same one couple years ago for $170 on half price promotion. This is definitely bargain of the year.

  • +4

Thanks. This will be my first air fryer

For those wondering, I upgraded to this Phillips from the 5.3l Kmart egg shaped model. I found the Kmart one cooked better (crispier) and faster, but the Phillips is more convenient with digital timer and a better overall size/shape.

    • I was going to return our spare Kmart egg one (5.3L?) and replace with this one but maybe not?

      • Depends what your priorities are really. Kmart cooks slightly faster (and imo crispier) and is quicker to use with the physical control dials, but it looks silly on an exposed bench. The Phillips looks much more discreet, is slightly better build quality and you can cook for longer than 30 mins at a time. Added liter's of basket size wasn't noticeable at all for me.

fwiw I gave my Kmart one to family and kept the Phillips. They're much of a muchness really, and the look and longer timer won out.

Maybe we can have an "AF (Air Fryer) Party" similar to LAN parties of the bygone era lol

  • $79 with signup bonus $10 off

  • No stock and no suburb I'm using seems to work for delivery/pick-up in WA.
Tried a few and all delivery/shipping options have a red X on them.

  • Bought thanks

  • +2

I got it for $79. Signed up and just as I was about to order I got a $10 welcome voucher via email. So if you wait a few minutes it can be even cheaper!

  • Is this just a substitute for a normal oven? I use oven pretty much daily, not sure if I need an air fryer.

    • A turbo oven basically

    • +1

Its definitely more akin to an oven than a fryer. Think mini oven.

It wont replace an oven for big meals but for smaller things, this is much quicker and way more efficient.

    • They are great for smaller items to cook like chips, garlic bread, chicken wings etc..
Also beats warming up fullsize oven for food like that.

    • You might want to go for XXL size if you have a bigger family.
I have an XXL and also going to get this as well for smaller food in tandem. Ie chicken in one, and chips in this one rather than wait

    • +1

Not a total substitute, there's just the two of us and we still fire up the oven for big stuff. It takes a while to get the hang of different cooking times. Also don't be fooled by the volume measurements, you can only cook a single layer of most things. That said we use the oven waaay less now. Because of the strong fan and heat it is actually qualitatively different from the oven. Things are crispier, faster, for instance. Broccoli in the air fryer is like 7 minutes. And in a more hands off way than say pan frying. It's ease and speed has stopped us getting takeaways a lot. I took this opportunity to grab a 2nd one

    Cashback tracked at $26.70

Time to replace my philips airfryer i bought end of 2016 lol. Cant believe it lasted 8 years and still have a few years in her.

Might end up opening it up, cleaning and degreasing the parts and use it outside

    • +1

      Using which cashback site?

      • From my calculation, it may still be cheaper from BIG W directly if you acquire BIG W eGC for 10% off. 10% off code and 2k bonus EDR pts are not applicable via everyday market. Instant discount is always better than possible cashback dispute.

        • With everyday extra and discounted giftcards I paid effectively ~$66.50 taking into account discount rewards points and 5% discounted gift cards. I'd rather that than risk cashback tracking for a couple of extra dollars

          • @ezzaf: Yeah, I bought through Top Cashback a few hours ago and nothing has shown up yet. :/ Would have preferred to pay a bit extra and not have to fuss around with potential disputes.

        • +3

Im confident TA wont let me down if any issues with paying CB

        • if you acquire BIG W eGC for 10% off

Where are you getting a 10% discount on them?

          • @HomeAlone: Just SB yesterday, 10.50%. Prezzee offered $5 Bonus on $50 this year, posted by EC.

Was thinking about cleaning my airfryer but at this price it's much easier to bin it an buy a new one.

  • Wont allow me to enter into cart when signed in

    • Still available on Woolworths website. Also available at MyDeal for $89 - (without delivery, $9 for me) and then using code "EARLY10" for $10 off brought it to $88.

  • +2

This or the Healthy Choice glass air fryer which is similarly priced? As this is non-stick coating.

    • That too is my question. I've had a Teflon 5L Healthy Choice one from a WWs sale years ago, and really want to run away from PFAS. Healthy Choice worked well, no complaints about the brand at all. Plus it's bigger! (6.5 vs 4.6L)

Btw, that Healthy Choice is $129 @ WWs; so it seems like it's an unmarked Black Friday deal on Big W.

      • This one is 6.2L as it’s the XL version

        • XL family size meals that fits 1.2 kg of fries, 4.6L or 5 portions

          • +1

            @wisdomtooth: The site is inaccurate

          • +1

@wisdomtooth: This is from the Phillips site “The Philips Airfryer XL is designed with your family in mind. The 1.2Kg capacity basket, combined with the 6.2L pan, help you cook a variety of meals. Make up to 5 meal portions in one go for your family and friends. “

          • @wisdomtooth: I went and got it just now can confirm it is infact 6.2L

      • Oh, it's $89 @ Catch.

Either that or $84 @ Big W with the new member disc.

Had to grab one this price! Cheers OP, now to finally get into air frying everything haha :)

Do I need another air fryer ?

Bought one out of FOMO - great deal OP!

  • Out of stock it appears

I went from Kmart to Philips and it was the biggest upgrade

Grabbed one with the welcome code + Bupa EDR gift card deal (~7% off) + 2000 EDR points = around $63.50.
Prefer this to cashback as it's instant and can click and collect in store at Big W

    • Bupa EDR gift card?
      Which ones are those

      • There's a similar deal to this on the rewards app for 8x points if you are with Bupa

        • +1

This is brilliant, thank you very much.

  • Is this available in store or online only?

  • Same price here too.

    $79 with code

    Mydeal

    • $9 shipping can not be omitted. There's also a bonus 2k EDR pts offer for first time, though.

    • +1

Cashrewards offers 22% MyDeal cashback from 4pm. It'll be a close price match.

  • Cheers OP, I was able to use code XNOV2024 to get it down to $80.10

  • +2

Ahhh damn.. I bought it because of FOMO and didn't read the comments so I missed out on XNOV2024 and signing up to Everyday Extra for $35….. ugh… why are bargains so convoluted…. I got 5% off a Big W gift card though…. I'm not a true ozbargainer…. still a mad price though!

    • Another step up: add something low value you need to it and also qualify for free shipping plus 10% discount.

    • They’re not convoluted. You just need to spend a minute reading before you dive in head first…

      • OP didn't not provide much info to read at first. You can check revisions.

    • +2

It's hard work being an Ozbargainer.

One mistake missing out on a few cents discount and you can lose your Ozbargain licence!

  • +1

I'm thinking after 10,000 clicks they have sold more than they physically have in stock.

    • +1

You can add 50 to your cart and it tells you the possible max quantity for delivery or at your local stores.

    • +3

Not all the clickers make the order lol I'd be guessing somewhere around 5%-10% for an air frier.
