Sony price beat JB Hifi deal. Silver is $2539.
The black version is $2539 also.

Besides the $200 cash back, Sony add:

  • Bonus battery
  • Chance to win 2 tickets for a voyage to Antarctica

Icing on the cake being price advertised on the Merchant site (not price match request), you can either:

  • Qualify for cash back from CR, SB or TCB (8% at CR atm), or
  • Since the promotion field is not disabled, you can use whatever Sony discount code you have. I believe some people got 10%, some got 5%, some got a birthday code for $20…

So net cost (if you take up CR 8% Cashback) is $2155 for the camera and bonus battery!

    Cash Rewards terms for Sony exclude:
    "Purchases using any type of discount which lowers price advertised on the Merchant site, including but not limited to employee discounts, student discounts and price-matching."

    I'm sure some have had theirs approved anyway, but I took the marginally safer 1.75% ShopBack since it contains no such exclusion.

    If you use the chat and complain (they gave me incorrect information about my tax receipt), they are authorised to give you $15 additional discount. Maybe don't ask for that amount specifically as it is discretionary.

    I bought the black and assumed the 10% welcome offer wouldn't be valid on a price match , but this offer isn't. I vet they extend it to black shortly too. Doh!

      This deal is not price matching. It is the price advertised on the Merchant site.
      BTW, SB increased cash back to 7% today.

    Sony has just reduced their black price for $2545 ($6 more than silver). Personally I think Silver is more retro attractive than all black.

          I think CR cash back is pretty sure thing from my Sony/CR experiences (always did it from my laptop browser and always checked the T&Cs in case some new exclusion ninja'ed in). That was during TA's days when I know that I can ping him here to fix any issue with redemption.
