Felix Mobile $40 Prepaid SIM for $15 + Del ($0 in-Store/ C&C/ OnePass/ $55 Metro Order) @ Officeworks (Woolworths: Expired)

90

For $15 get 1 month $40 unlimited mobile data at 20Mbps on 5G/4G network with unlimited talk and text @Officeworks

I missed out on this after buying 3 of these from the Felix website for $20.
It says $20 for the first 3 months by using their code FELIX50. (Got 3 pcs for our upcoming family holiday.)

Woolies was selling these last week for $20 but this week they also dropped to $15.
(not sure if you can use the same code they have online to avail of the first 3 month discount)

*Also saw in the other post here mentioning that customer must activate their SIMs within 3 months of purchase.

I have not tried this sim before but I saw some mixed positive and negative reviews.
Hope this was still a good buy.

  • Can we use friend refer code on the time of activation

    • +1

Interesting, didn't actually know about the friend referral code.
Would definitely give this a try when I activate the sims I got next month.

From what I understood, the friend refer code only works for existing subscription.
So you might need to activate your sim first before someone can use your code.
And whenever someone signs up using your code then you get a $35 credit for every friend that you refer.

when you buy a sim in store you cant use online codes or friends referral codes. might still be better getting it online for $20 a month for 3 months unless you just need it for 1 month.

    • oh thanks for confirming that @gingerscale, I assume that "BOTH" referrer and referee need to have bought the sim from online to be able to use any online codes or referral codes.
I guess the code would still not work if referrer got the sim from online and referee got the sim from in store.

Yep, no codes can be put in if you get a sim card in store. I had a huge back and forward with their support and even after escalating it to a manager they would not budge. Always cheaper to get it online with one of the codes. You also cant stack a referal code with the 50% off for 3 months deal. Remeber to use cashrewards 6.50 cashback. Unsure if this stacks

        • So in my case, I bought 3 sims form online with the 50% off code. I could activate my first sim first, but wont get the referral credit for the other 2 sims which I also got from online using the 50% code coz I am on that 3 month deal?

          • +1

@Chewee: Yeah you cant stack and refer each other unfortuently

    • Can't I just buy 3 sims for $15 each ($45 total) if I want 3 months and I don't care about getting a new phone number each month?
Is there a cheaper way to do this using referrals or some other method?
(Is it something like: buy 1st month for $15 from woolies, buy 2nd month online for $40 minus $35 referral from the 1st sim? Will that work? That gives me 2 months for $20 if it works)

3 sims for 3 months is the cheapest, for no hassle the $20 for 3 months would be the easiest but getting 3 sims would be cheapest yeah.

Did anyone buy the previous $15 sim from Felix at Woolies? I thought the packaging says that you have 365 days to activate it? cheers

    • +1

I can confirm that the OP's post contains fake news as I had bought two of the sims and I received a 3 month offer that was 50% off and then subsequently activated the other sim in the 5th month.

The sim card itself and the packaging does state 365 days to activate for the Woolworths version. I cannot confirm the same is for the Officeworks version.

Surely the Felix team wouldn't risk creating themselves a legal liability by communicating one contractual term and enforcing another…

Can I buy a felix SIM now and activate it later?

      Last updated: 08/07/2024

Yes, if you’ve ordered a felix SIM and purchased your first month’s subscription through the felix mobile app or website, you have 365 days to activate it.

If you’ve purchased your SIM at Big W, Coles, Officeworks or Woolworths, you have 365 days to activate it.

Your monthly billing cycle doesn’t start until you’ve activated your SIM. For example, if you purchased on the 1st of January and activate your SIM on the 10th of February in the same year, your next payment will be the next month on the 10th of March.

What eco sim? Made of wood?

    • They claim to plant a tree per month for each subscriber. So, yeh, wooden Sims.

  • Also I was looking at a cheap way to keep my number without getting deactivated and saw this for Felix AI Google response.

You can pause or cancel your felix mobile subscription at any time through the felix app:

    Pause:
To pause your subscription, go to Settings > Phone and service settings > Pause my subscription.
You can pause your subscription for up to 242 days.
After pausing, you can continue to use your subscription for 48 hours after the end of your billing cycle.
You can resume your subscription by going to the Home tab and tapping Resume my subscription.

It seems if I don't want to recharge I could still keep my number for 242 days by pausing subscription unlike other networks where normally you would get disconnected after 60 days of no subscription and lose your number.

  • Just did a price check at Woolworths Hawthorn East, its $40.

  • Just bought from ww for $15.

If you don't pay your bill for a week they'll offer you 50% off your next 2 months…
