Reps sniffed the homelabbers here and now posting regular prices as “deals” trying capitalise on it by trying to get people impulse buy lol.
Posting a 7 yo chip minipc for $320… yeah no thanks.
Not a deal at all? I guess people may see i7 and think fast, but I'm pretty confident the extra cores on any 8th gen+ machine outweigh the "i7"-ness. These prices from Metrocom are miles better.
i feel insulted
Terrible price, can get one from UN Tech off ebay for $250 - https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/265993960727
Not that I'd recommend it, this would be much better - https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/266300843713
Over priced and too old. Have seen far better deals on the newer N100 - might as well wait for another one.
Absolute trash "deal".
i got a 6th gen for $110 for context
Dell Optiplex 7050 was launched in 2017. This should be priced at $200 max.
The CPU is one generation away from official Windows 11 support unfortunately (you want Coffee Lake).
Overpriced too, look at some of the prices competitors are offering for the newer Optiplex 7060. They have been hovering in the $200 mark (but with only 8GB RAM).

you can buy a Optiplex 7070 with 16GB RAM, W11 and 9th Gen for around $210/$206. This has 6 CPU cores. Kaby Lake maxes out at 4 cores.
