YouTube Premium Monthly Subscription: TRY ₺79.99 (~A$3.58) / INR ₹149 (~A$2.69), No VPN Required

2635

Hey Everyone!

I know there are a lot of ways to get YouTube Premium, but currently some of these methods are only available on iOS or require VPN. So, I thought I’d share a method I used recently to get YouTube Premium for Android users (or anyone else looking for a good deal). Please be gentle this is my first time posting something like this. I just spent hours on how to format on Oz :p

EDIT: Hey everyone, based on many comments below, it seems this method no longer works as it used to. It might work initially, but later on, YouTube seems to be asking users to update their payment details to match the country they've selected, like India. It works for a while, but eventually, they prompt you to change it. Personally, I haven’t been contacted yet, even after more than a month. Some people are still having success using the iOS method with a Turkey Apple/iOS account. (Reddit)

As the mods mentioned below, depending on feedback, I’ll consider taking this post down. Feel free to let me know your thoughts! :)

How to Get YouTube Premium with Geo-price (Android/Global Method)

Step 1: Set Up a New Google Account

  1. Create a new Google account.
  2. Once it’s created, click on the profile icon in the top right corner and select “Manage your Google account”.
  3. Go here Google Personal info link
  4. Look for a random address in India or Turkey. You can use any address generator online, or search for one.
  5. Make sure the address is set as India or Turkey in the Google payment center link
    — Important: When entering payment details, ensure you use an India or Turkey address. (Comm bank worked, assuming others would work too)

Step 2: Change Country Settings in Google Play Store

  1. Switch to phone and open the Google Play Store app.
  2. Tap the profile icon in the top right corner, then go to Settings > General > Account and device preferences.
  3. Make sure the "Country and profiles" setting is set to India or Turkey this is important for the next step.

Step 3: Subscribe to YouTube Premium

  1. Open YouTube either in the app or through Google Chrome (Note: it might not work on PC without a VPN).
  2. In the YouTube app, tap the profile icon in the bottom right corner and select "Get YouTube Premium”.
  3. Choose the payment option in Indian Rupees (INR) or Turkish Lira (TRY) to pay for your subscription at a discounted rate.
  4. Youtube premium

Troubleshooting Tips:

  • If you're having trouble, you can try using the app “Fake GPS Location” by Lexa (available on the Google Play Store). I haven’t played around with it, but it kind of helped me for me on one of my accounts.
  • Alternatively, you might need to use a VPN to set the country correctly.

Moderator's Note

We are aware of users commenting that a local form of payment and/or a VPN is required to purchase the subscription. We are also aware that YouTube is cracking down on non-residential subscriptions and forcing subscribers to change to Australian subscriptions after 1 month. We will leave this deal post up to let users decide for themselves whether it is worth the time and effort to attempt this procedure. We encourage you to discuss your experiences and to vote accordingly.

User Potatohead82 has reported success using an alternative procedure which requires a VPN and a WISE card.

  • been using the india itunes gift card work around for several months now. works great if you have an old device you can use for the india account to simplify things ie: not having to log in and out of accounts all the time.

  • I subscribed to Kazakhstan, A$15 / month for family plan, not as cheap as Turkey but far less hassle

    • +1

I ended up in Peru…ends up a little over $13

      • Do you remember what the single sub was for Peru?

        • 20.9 Sol equals
          9.04 Australian Dollar

  • Once you change your iPhone store to India etc, are there any issues? Is it easy to just change it back after the payment goes through?

  • I had the email about payment method change required in November or December… I didn't do anything and planned to find a workaround when it stopped working, but I've had two more payments taken with the original payment method (Wise card) and still have benefits without issue…

Assuming I will have it 'not renew automatically' at some stage, but….. Not yet?

    • Likewise, but In my case eventually expired on 02 Jan. I just clicked on subscribe again and it adjusted the payment from PKR to US$ which I didn’t question. It has carried on fine for Jan and Feb payments (which surprised me). Touch wood it remains in place. If yours expires, try subscribe again as it might do the same?

      • Still active ….. Nothing changed as of yet… Don't touch it and hope for the best 😅😂

    • Exactly the same here. Got the email in Nov 2024. Didn't change a thing, and they kept deducting from my credit card monthly for the last 3 months with the usual amount without a hitch (last deducted 4 days ago). Can't be sure if this will continue, but so far so good 😅.
