5G SIM Only 30-Day Plan with 32GB Data - $28 for Existing Customers @ ALDImobile

160

Just got an email from Aldimobile indicating that they are offering a new 5G plan "bonus" plan for existing subscribers and $1 discount on their lowest normal 5G plan. It may be targeted to $25/m and above users, as I got this on my main account, but not my burner spam phone account ath is on the 365 $15 plan.

Benefits for existing users are:

  • 32gb instead of 25gb data allowance each month (That I'll still only use 2gb of a month…)
  • a bonus 20gb on your first recharge (to go into my current 1.2Tb "rollover")
  • Unlimited data rollover (I think they all have it anyway)
  • $1 cheaper that their lowest 5G plan (That's a $12/year saving!)
  • Now comes with 5G (great for activating those nanobots.)
  • On the Telstra wholesale network and not Sloptus or Vodafail.

From the e-mail;

Hi pegaxs

We're excited to let you know that we're introducing a new $28 5G mobile plan as an ALDImobile Special Buys this November. This plan offers:

32GB of data
Unlimited standard calls and SMS to Australian numbers
Unlimited standard calls and SMS to 20 countries, 100 minutes/50 SMS to 30 more
Unlimited data rollover
+20GB bonus data on your first recharge
and did we mention.. it's 5G!

This plan is exclusively available as an online recharge until 31 December 2024 for selected customers only. Once activated, you are also eligible to renew this plan on an ongoing basis, we'll let you know if availability changes in the future.

Experience the power of 5G at a very special price. Upgrade now to enjoy faster speeds and more data. Change your plan at any time.

Mods, feel free to move this to a forum post if you dont consider it a deal…

Also, because I think it is targeted, it is not advertised on their site and thus there is no real "direct" link to it that can be gotten externally, only from checking via a users account and recharge settings.

  • Nice, hope I get this email!

    • If you go to your account and click on "Manage Account" in the drop down menu, then select "Recharge" and it will take you the different recharge options. Click on the "Mobile Plans" button and if it is available to you, it will show up as the $28 plan, next to the $29 plan, the same as in the screenshot above.

It is there fore me, thanks! Also, just noticed that Live Voicemail is now supported :)

    • not Sloptus or Vodafail

MIS-information lives-here…love it when OP supplied IN-complete, bias, regurgitate positive-spins.

I moved away from ALDImobile in Oct-24, wonder why?

  • What's the point as it will be capped at 100Mbps.

    • 5G reception? or is that not how it works

    • Is that a problem for YouTube and website browsing ?
I'm sure it would be more of a issue for gaming , correct?

      • Depends on what kind of gaming. FPS games require low latency and low packet losses, and little do they care about throughput. So 100MBps is more than enough.

Hope Aldimobile will implement eSIM soon.

    • I have been waiting for 5G and almost jumped to Boost to get it. Glad I held out. But I am hoping that they will also off eSIM as well. Been holding off buying a new smart watch till I can use it on the same network with an eSIM.

      • Doesnt Telstra, Optus and Vodafail only offer eSim for smartwatches?

        • yeah that's my understanding, also you have to be on post paid.

Also a $25/mnth aldi customer… didn't get an email. It's worth noting that while you're on the telstra network, aldi traffic has the lowest priority.

  • I have both Boost and Optus on my phone, and around Melbourne CBD, Optus has at least twice as strong a signal, so I use Optus for data most of the time.

I recently swicthed from Aldi, they have overseas call centers with pathetic customer support service. It was good otheriwse though.

    • And longer wait times, much longer then you would expect.

  • Nice deal, just switched. However note that this plan is limited to a 100 Mbps cap which seems to be standard with many other providers on the lower priced 5G plans:

    https://www.aldimobile.com.au/blogs/using-and-managing-your-…

The more expensive 5G plans should offer 250Mbps cap if that is required.

Either way, all 5G plans should offer lower latency, and less congestion compared to the 4G network.

The 4G plans currently offer 0-50Mbps download speeds according to the FAQs

  • Hi Everyone, what do you think of felix sim only plan the 50GB Plan felix.

This is available in-store as a "Special Buy" to new customers - https://www.aldimobile.com.au/products/28-5g-mobile-plan

  • Hi guys would you recommend Vodafone network or Optus Network if you have to choose between these two as at this current stage I am only able to get coverage on these 2 where I live. Telstra building tower around May 2025 and will probably change to Telstra later on. Thanks.
