only 4% slower single threaded than the 8840U

and up to 35% slower in graphics tasks/gaming.

    • If you are buying this for gaming and/or graphic work, then you have rocks in your head.

mentioning that doesn't mean this is the main purpose of the purchase, stating the difference between the laptop that was about $100 more before going out of stock is quite legitimate.

Some may way to do some light gaming on their laptop they get for school or uni etc… and maybe paying a little more (irrelevant now that it's out of stock) would be a better option for them.

I for instance looked up the difference straight away to see which to ME has better value.

        • I agree. Many parents are looking for an affordable laptop for kids going to school next year. Power and specs for gaming and graphics work may not be high on the radar compared to the increased price. For example, a better battery is a bigger priority for me at the moment.
