nbn 50/20 $59/Month, 100/20 $65/Month, 250/25 $85/Month for 6 Months @ Pronto Broadband

Plan Price for 6 Months Ongoing Price
Standard nbn 50/20 $59/month $85/month
Fast nbn 100/20 $65/month $95/month
Super Fast nbn 250/25 $85/month $119/month

Note the billing period with Pronto is from the 1st of each month and the 6 month intro price is applied from the first full month of service.

That is, if you sign up mid-month, they prorate from that date until the end of the month without any discount and the discounted rate kicks in from the 1st of the following month.

On the plus side, my service was activated with static IP by default without any additional cost the last time I was with them (I churned away last month).

Best to schedule your connection to 29th of the month, leave a small buffer just in case anything goes wrong.
Pay the full price for 2 days to avoid the risk of paying full price for 29 days.

It’s not worth even if you think it’s cheap. Try something else

I'm on pronto and it's been totally fine. Reliable and fast. Not sure why it's not worth it especially at this price?

      • Yeah same, signed up for $59 deal (in June?) and been completely fine for normal use. As with most situations, people's experience relies much more on the NBN infrastructure at their location, and not really as much on the ISP. Exceptions apply obviously.

        • 50/20 was $49 earlier in the year

      • No issues either

  • been 6 months with them on 100mb plan 100% rock solid FTTN connection who do I move to next? for similar pricing

Spintel ($65), Tangerine ($65.90), Exetel, Moose and Dodo are all similarly priced but it seems some are only if you go via a referral link like Whistleout's ones - https://www.whistleout.com.au/Broadband/National-Broadband-N…

Swoop has been absolutely brilliant. Customer service is excellent 👌🏻
I think they are similar prices to this deal but if you sign up with a referral code you get $15 off extra per month for 6 months. Really impressed with them.

Their 100/20 plan comes down to $59 a month with a referral code. And if you refer others, you can keep stacking the $15 off per month for each person you refer. Great for referring family members etc.

      • Where do I get the referral link from?

      • Swoop has been absolutely brilliant.

Some not so great experiences —> https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/854844

Their 100/20 plan comes down to $59 a month with a referral code.

You need to enter LESS20 code to bring the 100/20 plan down to $74. Are you sure you can stack the $15 referral discount on top of that $20 discount? Edit: hmm that $20 discount is auto-applied

Where do you enter the referral code? Atm there is a Finder25 promo code which brings 100/20 to 69$

        • If you are having trouble entering the referral code, just give them a call. They accepted my referral code over the phone. Very short wait time if i recall correctly

        • If they are signing up online, complete the “how did you hear about us” section with your existing account name and MATE code/account number as a referral.

Referral credits are not eligible for use in conjunction with any other discount promotions. In the event that the referred party applies a discount promotional code at the time of sign-up, the referral credit will be deemed invalid for that transaction. The referring party will not receive a referral credit if such a promotion is utilised. If the referrer’s account is closed they will not be eligible for a ‘referral credit’. Credits are non-transferrable.

          • @sintro: Sorry, I was referring to Swoop, not Mate.
I was able to get the initial special price and also a $15 credit on-top for 6 months.with them.

  • I’m with them. Rock solid, however I’ve never had issues wth nbn. Only leaving as 6mo ended. 30 days notice must be given so I just called to find that last date of my billing cycle and set a reminder 31 day’s earlier.

  • Quokka better value

Oh they went up. The sale ended Sun.

  • How are they compared to aussiebb?

  • Solid provider. No issues at all during the 6 months I was with them.

  • Just signed up with them to do 6 month churn

  • Had a very bad experience with these people. This is my first neg ever on ozbargain and deservedly so.

Got connected on the 100mbps plan, connection was seamless the only trouble nothing would stream. Modem hard resets, 2hrs on phone with techs. Nothing worked. Eventually the tech gave up and said I should change to another provider. So i did. He said I’ll have credit which reflected on the bill. Put through request for refund to be credited and after 5 months got email that refund has been denied.

Have given them 5 days to refund or I’m heading TIO.

    So steer clear.

I connected to Exetel and it’s been flawless, same modem, same everything.

  • Would not recommend. I was on the 100 Mbps plan and I planned to cancel when the discount ended. Fast forward to today and I didn't do my due diligence and give 30 days notice to cancel (I think it's a bit unreasonable but quite a few providers seem to do this) and their web portal no longer allows you to cancel on the portal. Instead you need to give them a call.

I tried to email a few days ago - no response. I tried the chat to which they basically just said send us an email. I tried to call and their call centre didn't pick up after trying to call and the calls end after 15 or so minutes and no one picks up.

In the end, I just switched to Mate NBN and their $40/month plan (after discount) in order to not have to pay for a month of full-price service and my service with them was cancelled and switched over within half an hour. Although in hindsight, my advice would be to switch to Launtel and cancel immediately if you need to cancel in a hurry.
