Would this be a better deal?

Seems like you get more "bang for your buck".

Horses for courses, 1.2kg vs 1.9kg

    • the difference is the weight, the laptop you have mentioned is closer to double the weight of the LG gram

    • that 8845hs def way better if you want to play some light gaming

Absolutely! But it depends entirely what you want to prioritise in the build. The Grams do feel remarkably light in the hand, but if you don't care much about that, the specs on paper can appear a little limited I guess.

This is another option around the same price point: https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/873218

      And so is this: https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/873992

Depends on what you value more.

    Bring back 16:10!

  • This or the IdeaPad Pro 5? Mainly for light programming, light CAD and maybe some sprite based games (factorio). I'd prefer longevity and battery life over weight. I'll be travelling a bit with it too.
