  • I heard hx processor is not battery efficient?

    • +2

Generally speaking, an AMD HS processor would be better in that regard, but at least this has an iGPU unlike the LOQ with 7435HS.

      • OMG JARROD IS THAT REALLY YOU! :D

        • +2

          I think so

          • @JarrodsTech: AHAHAH HI! I love your videos keep them up man :) <3

  • laptop prices keep going down now, can imagine this coming Black Friday sale how crazy will it be!

    • +4

if its like the past couple of black friday sales

im predicting disappointing or very low stock

  • I waited so long for a good LOQ deal, but ended up buying the IdeaPad Slim 5 with Ryzen 7 8845HS.
Ended up being $728.95 after cashback and GST claim. Pretty happy with the purchase, considering the price. Plus a lot lighter and convenient with USB C charging. Battery life is pretty good too.

  • This or the IRX9 with an i5 13450 for $1299??

Also do you just use the sign up for Topcashback and use their link for it to work?

  • warning make sure you check Reddit about these 12th Gen Intel LOQ laptops because they seem to have motherboard issues.

    • +2

Yeah, read a LOT of horrible stories there heaps of MB fried …

      • +1

Yep, I would save a bit more and get into the Legion laptops. I would avoid these ones after reading the horror stories on those Intel LOQs.

    • +3

While there are some, it seems a bit overblown, at this point mostly people repeating the same story over and over. I asked Lenovo about it and they said they haven't had any increase in reports for LOQ vs any of their other models. Of course they could be lying, but yeah they do a LOT of volume and there are always failure rates.

      • Thanks for the reassurance, Jarrod. I bought this model from Lenovo Outlet for $839. I didn't even research about the processor or read/watched any reviews. The missus been running Frostpunk 2 on full settings without a any issues. Fans get loud but not concerned because it's a very detailed game.

    If only it was amd

  • Is cashback on the full purchase price? or does it not count for GST component?

  • 15% cashback expired?

  • Compare to nitro V16 4060 is it worth to pay more 400++ to get 4060 or 1000++ get this one better can someone please tell me thank

    • +1

If you're going to play newer games I'd say 4060 is worth it but not at $1k - that's insane. $400 is not great either. I'd wait for a deal on something else if you care about graphics. 6GB is going to limit you.
