All the older generation ones we've sold are still going. They're a pretty reliable unit. You get what you pay for. We don't sell Ideapad models any more because they were very unreliable but generally Thinkpads have been really good.

It's cold that hurts battery life.
Within reason ambient heat is a non issue.
Heavy load after it having been left in a hot car parked in the sun might not be great, but that's a pretty edge situation.
I'm still rocking a Yoga 460 which is basically the predecessor to the X1 Yoga. It does now occasionally blue screen, but at almost nine years old, that's a good run from a laptop.

Seems expensive still. $1750 for i5, 16GB 512GB and integrated gfx. Is it just because it’s an X1?
