  • How does the 9070 XT compare to 4080, planning to do MSFS on this PC

    • +4

      4080 > 5070Ti > 9070 XT by 6-7% each jump.

      • +2

        So, 4080 is the best?

        • Well, there are things that the newest generation is better at. And the 4080 is a power hog compared to the 5070Ti.

      • Also, note that this is highly dependent on what game you are playing. Check performance difference for your favourite games before deciding.

    • +2

By all accounts the 9070XT is faster than the 5070Ti for MSFS but very limited data so far

    • I have a build similar to the ncore Elite on order with arrival next week (from elsewhere). Happy to share some numbers on how FS2024 does on that.

Tomshardware have benchmarks for the 9070XT on 2024 FYI

    • could've done much better half a year ago https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/867439

      • Eh, there's always a premium for ITX systems vs regular towers

  • Will the 5070 build (Aether) handle 1440 gaming?

    • 9070xt is better value then the 5070 if youre just using for gaming and don't care about RT/DLSS.

      • +7

Even for RT 9070xt is the better buy

        • Yup it's a whole new world we're operating in…

      • If you’re gaming and don’t care about DLSS you’re doing it wrong. It gives you better performance at basically either no visual loss or a visual improvement.

FSR4 is a huge improvement over FSR3, but still a way behind DLSS4.

Also RT is a huge deal.

  • The description says a 120mm water cooler on the 7800x3d version. Is that right?

Hi, i have a few questions about the 'Cooler Master NR200P Max TG + Mesh ITX Case' option for the Ncore Elite build:
    - Will the PC ship with both side panels (mesh and glass) and all included case accessories?
    - Does the build for this case come with case fans (not just the radiator fans)? If so, what is their size and height (are they slim fans)?
    - Is the GPU riser that comes with the case PCIE 4.0?

Also, is it possible to ship the retail boxes for the GPU, CPU and mother board with the PC?

    Thanks!

    • +2

      Hi there,
-yes both panels will be shipped.
-It doesn't come with other case fans.
      -The riser is gen4.
and yes we can ship the box together.

Thank you very much for your quick reply.

Am I missing out on something here? 5 months ago you could've gotten a 7800X3D with 4080 super build for equal or less. There were multiple posts in the past around this price range with the aforementioned combo.

    Case in point: https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/867439

    • +1

guessing cus this is itx build, new gpus, supply/demand issues

      • +2

The 4080 Super MSRP was $999 USD while 9070XT is approx. $750 USD. That's a $250 USD ($400 AUD) difference not incl. import tax. All things being equal (factoring ITX), the price should be equal or lower.

Point I'm trying to make is we're at a point in time where new rigs are priced more while delivering less performance.

        • -1

ITX components demand a 20-30% price premium

      • new gpus, supply/??? issues

        Solution: wait 1 year?

Maybe Nvidea/AMD/Intel are limiting-SUPPLY so that their parts can command a higher-price ?

Bias & paid reviews are creating the growing-demand…how many have upgraded from 1080p to 1440p ?

Notice what happen to hardware-prices during Covid-19 lock-down…a perfect storm that was exploited by the Gaming-industry. That was DEMAND-driven 🤣

Watch this space for future-force that keep prices higher.

Enthusiasts are NOT responsive to price-rises, you'll pay the CURRENT-price, regardless.

        Happy gaming.

    • ITX components in general are more exp

  • This was good to the point where i realized it didn’t have thunderbolt.

    • +5

I used to worry about this until I realised I never use thunderbolt and don't know what I would use it for - USB C standards are getting so fast that in my day to day use, I'd rather save the money.

      • -1

doesn't work when you have thunderbolt only monitors and thunderbolt only storage.

  • Cool case!
