    I have the 5's and I don't think they are that great tbh, I don't have the 4s, but i do have the MDR-1000x which were replaced with the XM3 etc and they are much nicer, in quality, comfort, sound and ANC.

    The 5's just feel flimsy compared to the older design.

      I have the XM3 and it is still going strong. After seeing these feedback, I am a little hesitant to upgrade to XM5.

        I have both xm3 and xm5. Unless you need to connect multiple devices, you are not missing out on anything.

        And xm3 has much more bass if that's what you prefer.

  I have the XM4s, got them from ebay and they are great, nice on the ears for long use time too :)
