Cashback terms and exclusions

What will stop me from getting cashback

  • You must empty your TEMU cart prior to clicking/tapping from TopCashback.
  • Accepting a TEMU best price adjustment after your order has tracked will affect your reported cashback, and in some cases will reduce it significantly or be declined. Please do so at your own discretion. TopCashback has no control over this process.
  • Cashback is ineligible on the portion of orders paid with TEMU credit or vouchers.
  • Cashback is ineligible on use of any codes not approved and posted by TopCashback.
  • Cashback is ineligible on purchase of gift cards and/or use of gift cards for payment.

What else is essential

  • TEMU sale amount and cashback may report a lower amount than expected due to international conversion rates, fees, taxes and other factors determined by TEMU. Please note TopCashback has no control over this process.
  • Cashback for TEMU is eligible only on orders placed from within Australia, and delivered to Australia.
  • Most retailers calculate cashback based on purchase amount excluding GST, other taxes, and delivery fees. Your cashback may report lower than expected due to this.
  • Always return to TopCashback and click through via the pink cashback button to the retailer's website for each new transaction. Ensure the TopCashback link is the last one used to visit the retailer's website prior to completing your purchase.

Good to know

  • Ensure you disable plugins such as Honey, AdBlock, uBlock, Pi-hole & VPNs prior to clicking/tapping from TopCashback as they will prevent your order from tracking.
  • If you cancel / return / exchange / modify your completed order, it will no longer be eligible for cashback and will be declined in your account.

  • Missing cashback claims must be lodged within 100 days of purchase.

    some items on TEMU are double in price vs aliexpress, some are few $ cheaper than aliexpress (especially those items with limited quantity, last sizes, one colour left, etc etc)
    still 40pct is decent considering temu prices are inclusive of GST

        Wouldn't risk what? I haven't had an issue with Temu or pretty much anything purchased from them. Anything I didn't like, I sent back for free and got a refund immediately.

          • @CyberMurning: Yeah personally I missed out on $80 worth of cashback cash with TopCashback they refused to honour. It was a new user signup deal last year I combined with a TV and despite it tracking and meeting T&C's they denied it twice :/

            I'm sure it works out fine 99% of the time but this is just me venting haha

          Never had an issue with Topcashback so far getting cashback.

    • True but also some things are cheaper. It depends, or maybe prices fluctuate more on temu.

  • I had an issue with Temu when I used Gpay for payment. They put a hold on the order and wanted verification (photo of redacted credit card, bank statement, etc). After multiple attempts at verifying they rejected it and cancelled the order. I'll try again but with a different payment method.

    Same offer as last week. My order didn't track at all (Temu can be hit and miss on all of the cash back apps), and I'm still fighting them on an order from 3 months ago.
    If it works out, great. But be prepared for issues.

      Same, no tracking so far for the previous order through TCB, i've ordered from Temu about 5 times and Shopback is the only one that has tracked, every TCB / Cashrewards has failed.

        Seems like it'll be a bonus if we get the cashback but don't take it into consideration for any purchase.

    Temu is good for those items that you only need to use once or twice, that you can't find the right dimensions anywhere in Australia, unless you pay a massive premium. For example, I bought a couple of cake stands, a balloon arch, an arch cover and a neon sign for a friend's engagement party and put together a balloon garland for them within 30 minutes and under $150 all up. That was less than half the price of hiring the equipment anywhere

      I have found Temu good for lot of household items, winter clothes, women jewellery, etc, etc. You have to do your research in finding the right product and right seller at right price. I shop around $300 every time 40%+ deal comes in.
      SB is notorious in rejecting cashback. Still fighting could of orders with them and have to wait until Dec. Never had any problems with TCB in tracking.

    Temu sucks, my cashback tracked but never confirmed.

    • When did you make the purchase? I made a purchase on 11th June and the tracking only updated to Confirmed status on TCB on 29th Sept. I'm still waiting for it to update to Payable status… super long wait eh. Hopefully the newer Temu trackings will be faster in becoming Payable.

    Is this for the whole order? Say I buy $100 worth and used $5 TEMU credit, does the whole $100 order not get any cashback? Or do I still get $95 worth of cashback?

      Based on my own recent experience, the amount paid by credit is ineligible for cashback but I still got cashback for the rest of the amount I paid using Paypal.

      I also noticed that the transaction initially tracked at the full purchase amount, then a day later the purchase amount changed to exclude the credit amount and the cashback amount also changed as a result. Using your same example I would expect it to initially track at $40 cashback for $100 purchase, then the next day it'll say $38 cashback for $95 purchase.

      I've reached out to Tightarse about this so that he can update TCB's Terms.

  • Shame the Lubluelu SL60D listings I was watching now says it's discontinued on Temu, or the listing changed to only for SL61.

    Anyone bought any other robot vacuum cleaner from Temu that they would strongly recommend? I don't need one with a mop function actually, was just aiming to for the SL60D due to all the recommendations on Ozbargain lol.

      They still have the combo with the self cleaning station for just under $300. Also noticed when they go discontinued they come back a day or two later

      • SL60D White came back in stock sometimes later today. Just in time for me to purchase it during this increased cashback period. Hopefully the robot vacuum works well!

    Search for freereward and claimcredit to get daily credit back on your orders over 7 days. Via claimcredit I've been making $50+ orders and getting $50 back in credit over a week.

    Some products may appear higher on these pages and not everything in your cart is applicable but you can use the price adjustment feature to get credit back when they drop in price over the coming weeks.

    Then get the 3 month Temu Circle membership for $9.99 or less to get free 2 items and 2%-10% cashback on every order.

    Combine that with the $5 late delivery fee and you end up with hundreds of dollars of credit and don't have to worry about cashback not tracking.

      I tried the freereward option, but it was difficult to understand. After picking my items, there was an option to spin to get your discount. I ended up with 40%. The dollar amount of that discount (mine was $25) was then needed to be used in the next 7 days in daily amounts. So it feels like have to spend
      $60 (original purchase)
      $280 (7 days x $40 (min purchase amount))
      in order to get $25 back

      That doesn't make sense to me, but I also might not be understanding it properly / got an unlucky spin

        I just tried the claimcredit option, and it looks like a similar system. Where you went wrong, is that you only need to check in to get the credit over the next 7 days (not make an order every day 🙄). Then the credit accumulates and you make an order when you're ready. Too easy!

        PS I'm still waiting for my TopCashback from June to change from "Confirmed" to "Payable"..

          • @CodeXD: In my Chrome mobile browser, After purchase on 29 Oct I login Temu again on the next day and on top of the website, there's claim credit offer. Otherwise just use Clear tips above.

    Topcashback temu tracking has failed on both recent big discount occasions for me. All sorted in the end though but pain in the ass having to submit a claim for every single item. Hope they will fix this soon.

  • It does tend to have issues tracking with temu but usually get resolved. On Shopback on the weekend they had a deal and it came up with an error "new customers only" or similar, and now trying to chase up.

    • ShopBack produces that error every time when the Temu site loads. The exact wording upon redirecting from ShopBack to Temu is "Sorry, only new users can get this coupon." yet they advertised cashback for existing customers and that was the button given. I've reported the error to ShopBack multiple times and they haven't responded. ShopBack has rejected all my temu purchases since November 2023, so trying this TCB offer this time but it hasn't tracked yet. Not sure whether to claim a price reduction on one item (14%) or hold out for cashback (supposed to be 40% on whole order but low likelihood of cashback being honoured unless TCB does it out of kindness without being paid by temu).

  • I have made an order today with an existing account. Still waiting for tracking confirmation, maybe tomorrow. Recently I made a purchase with a new account, different email for 70% cashback, but Temu cancelled my order and refunded my money. Maybe because of same Paypal account name with previous purchases but different email address (same email with the new Temu account). Today I used Wise virtual card, not Paypal. Let's see later.

    No problem with cashback trackings for me usually as I only use Chrome mobile browser for this cashback transaction. Ironically the recently cancelled order got tracking confirmation, but useless because Temu was the one who cancelled my order, lol.

  • When making a cashback claim with topcashback, it states that "TEMU requires you to submit a separate claim per item" does it mean for each individual item in a package which seems ridiculous or only for when there is seperate shipments?

    It says it takes 7 days. I made an order last night and just apprehensive since getting problems with all sites when it comes to temu, but also the last deal with topcashback failed.

    I just can never seem to get Temu and cashback going hand in hand on my end. Previous deals with Temu and Shopback didn't track earlier this year, despite purchases from other stores using the same set of devices working the same day, and now a similar result with TCB! Fairly confident it'll be honoured when submitting a claim, it's annoying but sounds like it's on Temu side of things with many others having similar issues

    • Yes there has been problems with every order with every cashback site unfortunately. I think its worked once. With the upsized cashbacks can nearly guarantee it doesnt work. I am thinking to change browser to google chrome. Topcashback honored their last deal but it took time. They try to wiggle out though, and Cashrewards said My new member upsized cashback was not honored and then they did it as a goodwill gesture which was really nice but I am confident I did everything right. I disable all adblockers completely, don't even have antivirus. Not much point using cashback with temu if you have to twist their arm every time.The most annoying thing is things come down in price, and I don't use the price adjustment feature because I am worried they will invalidate cashback, also held off returning cheaper items.

  • I'm not going to risk it. Cashback didn't track. I have a separate browser since Temu tracking issue with CR. I only use that profile for cashback and Temu purchase tracked fine last time with Topcashback, but did not track now.
    I feel really bad for the environment, but I will do the exact same like with this CR deal, return it all for full refund.

    Clearly issue is with Temu.

      Why not raise a case with TCB on this?

      • Because TCB would be at the mercy of Temu. And I've read a few comments on OB that even some claims have been denied by TCB.

        • Were the denied claims for increased new Temu customer cashbacks though? I have read on OB that Temu has declined some new customer cashback claims as they deemed they're not new customers. Those customers were given the lower existing customers cashback percentage instead.

          This promo was 40% cashback for new and existing Temu customers so it shouldn't have that problem. I would think as long as the terms are met, the click through to Temu on the day of the promo was logged and you can submit a missing cashback claim for that click, it shouldn't get denied.

            @Alinnia: I don't know, but filing a claim could be a gamble (and I would need to file for 20 different items too).

            Just checked again in TCB and no tracking, so replaced part of the order with shopback+ 100% cashback and 30% new account discount. Even if order doesn't track there, it's guaranteed 30% (and I had the exact same items $4 cheaper already). So worst case it's $1 more expensive (compared to if I would get everything approved with claims via TCB).
            Best case, I'm $40 better off for those items.

              No update for orders via TCB , so will ship my 2 Temu orders back.
              I suspect Temu intentionally doesn't track certain orders (I had a imilar experience with promotion via CR).

              I would rather have 25% cashback with 100% tracking than 40% with 40% chance of tracking.

    Correct I sent in screenshots of TCB page with CB link where I started order and screenshots of transaction. These CB sites are now increasingly becoming a gamble. I wonder if the Financial Ombudsmen when shown evidence will make rulings on these cases and maybe not allow the provider access in Australia

      There are problems with all the sites with temu so likely a temu issue.

    I just raised a claim too. I am probably returning everything though. Judging from the chat, I don't think it tracked for everyone.
    It is TCB issue, even if it's a TEMU issue. The deal is advertised on their platform, and the transaction is initiated from their platform.
    They should be the one to solve the issue with TEMU or stop offering these cashback if they know TEMU is dodgy.

      If you're gonna return everything, just return them without claiming.

        • It was resolved last time, and I believe it was before the return period. Its disapointing and annoying, especially since I found a way to get 20% on temu with a coupon!

      @JakDac You just need to submit a missing cashback claim for per item purchased in the order that didn't track. Then just wait. You don't need to submit screenshots or emails to them.

      Sadly Temu trackings are kind of roll of the dice - sometimes they track successfully, sometimes they don't. A lot of people on OzBargain can confirm similar experience.

      Personally I've had to submit missing cashback claims for about half my Temu purchases through TCB. In the last few months I've had 5 order that didn't track so I submitted missing cashback claims for each individual items in those 5 orders then waited for them to become "Payable" status. So far claims for the earliest 2 orders became "Payable", claims for other 2 orders are "Waiting for Retailer" status and claims for the latest order is "On Ice".
