On my WISH card the standard 1% cashback tracked after 5 minutes, and the bonus 4% cashback tracked after 35 minutes.

Can get 5% on Wish gift card straight away via Seniors VIC portal, no need to wait for SB cashback roulette.
Tracking of gift card purchases has been flawless for me. Even when adblocker etc is enabled.
And can use Amex so extra points.

I’ve never had a gift card transaction not track. It’s the safest transaction type to make, tracks instantly and pays out within a week.

Must be his own mistake, e.g. not use the correct card when have multiple cards linked.
Had Westpac bonus not track for me once on GC, but eventually it came through

How is this relevant?
It has been recommended in several cashback posts to use mobile data on the phone instead of Wi-Fi for better tracking. Some people are auto connected to Wi-Fi on their phones and would need to switch to mobile data. The Wi-Fi setup may block tracking.
Sounds like scare-mongering to me.
I've only ever used a mobile device connected to Wi-Fi networks (both home and work) and have never had an issues with tracking.
Some people may have VPNs and other router level customisations that might cause issues or eligibility rejection. Im not saying you need to, but minimizes risk especially if you dont know and control your own network configuration. Whilst i do, I've still changed my practice and not had a single tracking issue since spanning dozens of transactions.
Bought some EG and will try it out at Woolies.
CB tracked pretty quick.
You can test it at home via Woolworths Online. Just add the usual fixed digits at the front for online use. It works at BWS online as well.
The EG eGC may have no instruction on online use as it is not possible at EG.
Let us know how you go, wondering if I should buy EG when I definitely won't be using it at EG

Why and what do I need to do for the Westpac bonus cashback? Purchased and can see it has tracked. 1% confirmed and 4% tracked and pending.
Current status is: "your bonus cashback is currently pending. To claim this you need to: have your withdrawal details updated" this is unticked indicating I need to do something

1) used Westpac card.
2) have done this previously with no issues
3) have linked and verified (ING bank) withdrawal account and have done lots of previous withdrawal to this account, no issues
4) not trying to withdraw yet, just don't understand what it is asking for me to do.

Usually the bonus cb takes at least a few days. It tells me 5 days in the extended details.
For reference mine is all the same.
My withdrawal details were likey added 6+ years ago. So I wouldn't worry about that

It appears that if the bonus bank cashback doesn't track immediately, it won't ever.
Purchased a restaurant choice gift card over a month ago now. Yet to see the bonus Westpac Cashback. Customer support is stalling and tells me there is no estimate they can provide for a resolution.
Seems just not worth taking the risk for these bonus bank cashback deals at this point.
