I’d like to know as well. Even tho big W has a return period of 90 days but it said the cashback will take up to 95 days to get so not too sure if they’ll pay before 90 days. I might just return it before the time ends ‘cause I don’t think I can trust this type of deal.
Cashback is usually after the return period so people don't get cashback and then return item for a refund
That’s what I thought. But I saw a comment saying otherwise so I just bought it. There’s no point then. A deal like this is too risky. There’s no guarantee that cashback will pay.
@Luitturino: Never buy stuff on the basis of cashback. It's a bonus, if it tracks, not a purchasing decision point.
Definitely issues, I've purchased the PS5 console 3 times now on previous Everyday Market 30% off deals with Shopback, first order for $668 didn't track and I lodged missing cashback claim. Second order $799 tracked but ended up costing me more at arround $530 after cashback. I have just purchased again today to try and secure it at $468 after cashback. Good thing Big W have change of mind 30 day returns.
When lodging a missing cashback claim, they manually add it to your cashback but I'm not confident at all that it will be confirmed or approved and definitley not withing the 30 day return window.
So did you get your cashback money on your first 2 ps5? I saw the comments on the cashback post and people was saying ShopBack didn’t track the 30% instead only 5% and there’s problem with them so I didn’t go with that deal. But now seeing people saying how many times CashRewards didn’t pay them too I don’t even know if I should just return the ps5 or gambling on the cashback.
The second order tracked succesfully at the full 30% but it will not be cleared/approved until January, since it tracked correctly I'm thinking it's ok. The first order was manually added after tracking failed but only at 5% (like $13) I reached out to shopback and they say it will change to 30% if and when BigW respond and approve….not confidence that will happen.
@running on empty: Thanks. Like once the cashback is tracked it should be fine right? I can see a tracked transaction for my order but not too sure how this works and I’m still kinda scared they could cancel it or something.

@Luitturino: FYI, it appears my order yesterday has not tracked. Technically they say wait a few days for tracking, but i think I'm headed down another dead end road with this one.
@running on empty: 2 days later and surprise, surprise, mine failed to track. Have lodged a missing cashback request so will see what happens. These mob need to be reported to the ACCC for their dodgy dealings surely. I've had to report missing cashbacks from them many times before.
Be cautious. I'm still waiting (more than 4 months) for an untracked chashback from Shopback since June. They just send an update email every few weeks that they are waiting for a confirmation from Everyday Market (BigW).
Beware.. I did this and ShopBack only tracked 33.45 which is just 5%. I am in touch with gotyourback..

This deal or wait for black friday?
Black Friday is no longer the 1-day sale mania / click frenzy that most people thinks it is, that shopping idea died a long time ago (and when COVID-19 happened that was pretty much the nail in the coffin.
Black Friday might as well be Black Week or even Black Month now, as retailers are already discounting and they run offers for multiple weeks.
If you don't want to risk cashback issues, there will be other deals in the next 2-4 weeks (no need to wait till 29th Nov as per other reply).
i see ps5 deals every other week, they will only keep happening and get cheaper, as the console is getting on 5 years old now

Way too many issues with Cashbacks… Not reliable at all. Why make it so vague and difficult.
If it helps I had same issues with Cash rewards, anything substantial cashback always had problems and I had to pursue them for weeks to fix it
Pulled the trigger yesterday morning and still not tracked. Cannot lodge a claim yet as SB asks you to wait for 48hrs. Big W has 90 day change of mind return policy so I think it still worth a try.
Does the change of mind policy cover opened items.
If I have opened and set the console up, can I still return if I have the original box.I dont work at Big W so cannot answer your question. Better ask them directly.

Mine arrived, so they do send them, it's just the cashback only tracked at 5%. Maybe they were out of stock for your one?

Keep on them. I've been messaging gotyourback and their customer service email regularly - politely but firmly. I'm not letting them off the hook for a cashback i'm rightfully owed. If i'm still not satisfied, i'll look at other more official complaint channels.

What is the likelihood of this cashback actually coming through? I've heard there are often issues.
