i seem to recall that with ebay coupons and whatever the disc edition got as low as $550
$618 for disc, $538 for digital..
I got my PS5 Slim Disc version for $530 using shopback cashback, it tracked but not paid out just yet..

Disk edition lets you use 2nd hand games or buy disks from other stores. Digital you can only buy games from PS Store so they get more money from you (and hence charge less for the console as an incentive).
