Very decent price of this popular flip retro gaming console. Previous deal.
Was considering Miyoo Flip but that thing is never back in stock these days.

150 Grey and Yellow were restocked yesterday, but only Yellow is remaining now - Double the price of the Anbernic though
Hahah too late, bought the Anbernic instead. It’s half the price of the Miyoo anyway, I’ll see how I like this first..
Double the price of the Anbernic though
Exactly..
IMO, the Anbernic is still a better buy.
The only benefit that the Miyoo Flip has is the joysticks.
I count the smaller form factor of the Miyoo as a benefit, and if they were closer in price I'd go with the Miyoo for that alone. Alas.
Edit: also BT support - I would love to have BT audio for commuting
I bought one of the first batch of the Flips.
The hinge seems pretty good on mine, but it's been sitting in its box until a really good Custom OS comes out for it. Likely I'll just wait until Spruce OS is out for it.
joysticks are a negative on a device like this IMO
majority of the time you're playing a game that had a digital d-pad, no need to clutter the controls with analog sticks
@Odin: I also agree.
Most of the games I play on these small handheld doesn't require joystick.
When I do require joysticks, I prefer a bigger handheld.
@Odin: I like having joysticks for playing Nintendo 64 games on the Anbernic XX devices. They can also be useful for playing Dreamcast and later PS1 games but if you're not going to be playing any of those consoles then yeah there's not much point.
Never thought I’d say it, but that yellow is kinda gross… idk why I thought it was going to be something nice like pikachu yellow (I’m fairly sure there was a pikachu theme gba sp back in the day?)
Agreed, it looks like plastic that has yellowed from the sun or stained with cigarette smoke.
Thought the yellow would look closer to the Famicom yellow but it seems a bit too gaudy gold to look like Famicom..
This should be the V2 Revision, the buttons now require far less pressure compared to the V1 but are still relatively loud. Also the device has less rattle and larger battery.
You might still receive a V1 if you pick the original colours (Silver, Grey, Blue & Black).
Wouldn't recommend the Miyoo Flip currently, there's no good firmware options yet and the build quality is very questionable.
the build quality is very questionable.
According to the Miyoo Stock Alerts twitter post, the restock yesterday were 'V2'…not idea on what changed though.
AFAIK the only difference for the Flip V2 is an improved hinge (metal instead of plastic I think).
I was thinking about this, but there's rumours there will be the 34xx version of this at some point. So holding out for that.
It's been a while since Anbernic released a new device.
Last device was the RG34XX (GBA) back in December 2024. Nothing this year.
I’ve been not really following the scene for a while, but no new releases for nearly 3 months is a bit off brand for anbernic… thought they woulda done like 6-9 new models by now
I read that 34xxsp would just be different screen ratio with similar internals?
At this point, nothing has been confirmed yet. Just rumours and speculations.
Thank you! Grabbed a green one to keep me occupied on a long flight coming up.
Damn, that's cheap.
I don't love the feel of the silver one I have though.
Nice one
Trimui brick
I just picked on up during the last AliExpress Sale, just haven't had time to properly set it up yet.
Bought the red. Kind of regret it. Was too cheap to buy green, always figured silver looked best like the OG GBA SP, but saw the comments about it potentially being a V1 so avoided. Now I'm sad happy because new toy, but shit color.
Anyway, thanks OP! Finally low enough for me to bite
reds a great colour?
I don't mind red, hopefully translucent is better, but I've had some solid red game boy / emulator things in the past and it's always been such a cheap looking red / plastic finished product.
hopefully translucent is better
I remember seeing that the transparent model were more prone to cracks at the hinge. Might have been fixed with the new colours/revisions.
I asked the customer service, all colours should have the same fixed version. Idk if it makes you feel better but from this video, the green looks cheapish and light grey button looks weird on it IMO. Also, double black bezel on transparent colours is much better than the older solid colour ones, nitpicky ofc ;)
tbh I think my bias from the Q90 or whatever it was called, a Game Gear mini looking thing anyway, having the ugliest red, is showing. I'm kinda hyped on it now. I always thought I'd buy the silver one when I inevitably picked up one of these (the only reason it wasn't a day one is because my V90 still gets a decent amount of use and hit the clamshell itch), but I'm coming around. I normally always go for a translucent but how could you not love the OG SP look? I should have sprung for green though, it's the only color I don't really have, between all the Game Boy-esque things I've got blue, black, purple, yellow, red, plain translucents, greys, and so on, but no green.
I think you're 100% spot on about the bezels though, the silver one is fine by me because it feels reminiscant of the real deal, but other than that one, you're bang on the money.
Nice
