Dreame have released a new sub-brand called Mova offering more budget friendly robot vacuums. This one is offering an impressive 7000Pa suction paired with an auto empty dock/charging station and a "VibroTurbo" mop that's able to scrub with pressure instead of dragging a wet cloth around.

Like others it has LiDAR navigation, smart obstacle avoidance, auto mop lifting for carpet, auto brush lifting, 5200mAh battery offering up to 260 minutes of run time, app control with settings, voice control, mapping etc and a side brush.

$299 bought few days ago just got delivered!

    • Damn! I would have jumped on that deal. Let us know what your thoughts are on the unit.

Early impressions : Quite good actually compared to my previous lubluelu sl60d. Suction is pretty good and auto emptying dust bin is very useful. The mop is somewhat felt left to be desired but not bad for $299.

        • In what ways is it better than the lublu? I got the ld60 dock and vaccum combo for $180 and wondering if its worth paying an extra $120 when this deal comes back

  • Need a discount on the ones that have auto mopping and emptying. :D

  • This one is offering an impressive 7000Pa suction

Is that 7kPa suction value touted by their marketing department, and in reality the suction is likely to be closer to 5kPa?

Just asking as it seems just too good to be true for a unit that can be had for as low as $299.

  • Waiting for Valetudo support. Seems promising otherwise

I would have thought this a good price previously but hard to justify after $399 and $299 deals.

  • I also got one last time. Does anyone know why this model is not on Dreame website?

    • +1

Apparently Mova is their sub brand, mine was delivered today and i was using it with Dreame app and it got firmware upgrade

  • I bought one of these at this price, it feels like you have to be super lucky to get the better deals and these have good reviews.

Setup was very easy. It does a great job navigating around objects and getting in under tables etc.

It seems like the mop function is a bit limited, it tells you not to use detergent and you need to wet the mop before use and remove and clean it after.

Has anyone used a robot vac detergent with one of these? I’m wondering whether it would be okay with a small amount of detergent?

Received mine from the $399 deal. Was using a Lubluelu L60D before.

So far I would say it is a great unit for $399 - but I don't know if I would pay more than $600 for it. Seems like there are plenty of good options at the $500 mark. (Unless you really want one with a dock)

    Pros: (compared to my Lubluelu)

    • Quieter
    • seems to clean better
    • more "gentle" with obstacles (doesn't headbutt furnitures at full speed)
    • auto-empty station is handy
    • the app is easier to use and more things are customisable

    Cons:

    • auto-emptying is super loud, and I can't find ways to adjust the strength (but you can set DND times and not have it auto-empty at night for example)
    • cleans noticably slower than my Lubluelu (although the Mova also has a quick mode which I am not using)
    • perhaps my biggest issue with it. The Mova does not want to jump on to even a thin mat/ rug on hard floor. There are some suggestions online about covering the cliff detection sensor/ turning off the obstacle avoidance system etc. Didn't work for me. After some playing around in the app, turning off the intelligent carpet detection feature worked - but then it no longer increases suction power when on carpet/ rug. Thankfully the app allows me to set suction power for each individual room, so I just manually set it to high in rooms with the rugs. Not a perfect solution, but acceptable. So if you have mats/ rugs around, be mindful.

I don't use the mop function ever so can't comment.

Will add more later if I think of anything else.

  • are these ok for laminated floors?
