eufy E22 Permanent Outdoor Lights 30m $319, 15m $239 + Delivery ($0 C&C/ in-Store) @ JB Hi-Fi

170

Bought a set of the 30M yesterday (using the bonus 10% on ultimate giftcards and a fresh perks voucher). Was far cheaper than anywhere else.
Box price says $399 (which is the price just about everywhere else), price is $319. Stock had just come in and should be good across stores.

Product page on Eufy: https://www.eufy.com/au/products/eufy-permanent-outdoor-ligh…
Comes with pre-loaded programs for things like Halloween, Christmas, etc.

15M

Hope this is useful for someone.

  • How do you rate these, is the LED density good enough to have a consistent spread of light?

    • Install them about 10cm from the wall, yep. Brightness is good.
Nothing stopping you from installing them closer together.

    • Honestly, better off researching and installing your own selection from AliExpress or something.

ChatGPT et al are actually great at advising on these types of things.

      • I won't attach permanent lights to my house from aliexpress… i have concerns about the safety.

  • Eufy e10 spotlights 2 pack at $135 seems ok too and cheaper than anywhere else

See, this is why I hate OzB.

Did I know these existed 20 minutes ago? No.

Do i need these? Not really.

Do i want them? Very much so.

    • Same! And it does seem like good value..

  • This or Philips Hue?

    • +1

When it come to smart light systems, it will always be Philips hue if there is a comparable product (bulbs, remotes ect). However, when it comes to these sorts of lights, where there isn’t anything comparable on Philip’s end (the festiva lights exist but they are not the same form factor), then I would recommend grabbing these.

    • i gotta say eufy have been pretty half arsed when it comes to lighting options.

i just want a few e27 globes and maybe a strip light controller that can be triggered by eufy alerts.
hell right now id prob even settle for a smart plug to just control a floor lamp.

  • do you need HUB for this or can control using app ?

Holy shit over $5 per led. And I thought Hue was a rip off.

Also love how I had to go to a different website to find the specs, three hundred (profanity) dollars and JB hi-fi can't put the specs on the website? I'll stick with ten AliExpress copies for the same price thanks

  • I bought the US version (E120) of these earlier in the year, when there wasn't a local Aus model available. I am only installing them at the moment, but they have worked well testing on the bench. These can be fully controlled by WLED, and hence Home Assistant if that interests you (this was one of the main reason I chose them). Some good info and comparison of the US options here: https://www.thesmarthomehookup.com/permanent-holiday-leds-co…

  • I installed this at my house two weeks ago, and they are incredibly bright, with full control of each LED through an easy-to-use app. You can check out a detailed review of these lights in the following YouTube link, where someone from the US shares their experience.

**Alos, you can sign up for JB Hi-Fi Perks with a new account and get another $10 off the purchase.

  • These are a copy of the Goovee lights, which you cannot get here.

    • They are similar in concept to the Govee lights and others, but different. Eufy and Govee (2 different types) are included in the comparison link I posted above which shows the key differences. The Eufy fit my use case better than either of the Govee options.

Just seeing if anyone bought the 30m kit and may have 1x5m dtring they don't need or aren't going to use?

Ended up being 5m short so don't want to buy a whole new kit to then not use the rest of it.

Obviously will pay for it, but just asking here since the 30m is now sold out so figured a few OzBargainers might have got them.
