  • Perhaps Store Guys haven't changed the tag yet.

  • Shows 297 now

I just was in store and purchased one. it wasn’t priced on the shelf, scanned $297 at checkout.

  • Would this 27" Samsung ViewFinity LS27D700EAEXXY UHD IPS Monitor be a better option at $279?

If you don't need USB-C, the Dell S2721QS posted earlier is better priced & includes speakers.

    • Not a USB-C monitor? This is a potential non-powered solution for laptop workstation users :)

    • The Dell comes out cheaper with the 10% off code if you don't need USB-C.

  • I just had one today, and it works very well with my MBP. I'm thinking to get another one.

I did not wake up this morning thinking, "I am going to buy a 27" 4K monitor today." yet here we are: #OzBargain.

Pickup tomorrow from local OW. probably regret myself for not getting two - LOL :D

  • I got 2 & pretty happy with them.

  • Hi, I don't have USB C on my PC (Using 7800xt GPU), what cable should I buy for this to ensure the best quality possible? Thank you

    • 7800XT has HDMI and DP

This monitor supports HDMI, DP ports and USBC

DisplayPort, then HDMI. There is no mentioning of FreeSync support for this monitor. However, if it does have it, then generally DisplayPort + FreeSync has less issue.

However, it might depend on the cables you have. If you have a HDMI 2.1 cable, but only DisplayPort 1.2 cable (instead of 1.4 or 2.x), then HDMI might be a better option in that case.

  • On the other thread I believe they discussed how these aren't good for gaming because of the colours or something.
    Can anybody elaborate?

I was eyeing this one off over the Dell, but if the rgb isn't up to gaming standards I don't know.

  • Just got this yesterday, couple of things about this monitor:

    1. Windows 11 won't recognise it automatically, you need to get the driver from https://download.lenovo.com/consumer/monitor/n27p_driver.zip
    2. Running it at 3840x2160, makes my 1 week's old PC's onboard GPU struggle compared to running my old Dell U2715H at 2560x1440 (i.e: choppy animations when minimizing and restoring windows), any tips short of having to get a dedicated GPU for fluidity?
    3. Question about the USB-C PD port, if I get a GPU with a USB-C port, will this mean the standby light will turn off when I turn the PC off?

    Cheers

      Checked the refresh rate?

      • At first it defaulted to 59.94Hz when I plugged it in, I changed it to 60Hz

EDIT: Turned off HDR and all good now!

  • Are the ports on this HDMI 2.1 or 2.0? I’m assuming 2.0 because of the 60hz refresh rate but i came from the Dell thread https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/872241 and they were comparing that to this Lenovo monitor and someone mentioned HDMI 2.1…

    • It is about 4K HDR (10-bit) 60Hz. HDMI 2.0 technically can't do 4K60 + HDR + 4:4:4 chroma subsampling. HDMI 2.1 is required for that. Thing is with HDR400 monitors, the HDR isn't proper HDR anyway. I generally don't use HDR mode for OS, only when watching videos and games (and for those, with 27 inch, HDR400 (hacked HDR to be honest), it is not easy to spot the difference).

Based on the user manual Lenovo put online, the monitor doesn't display the actual mode it is running so you need to manually test 4k60, HDR, and 4:4:4 chroma subsampling to confirm. Not sure whether it is possible to test it with PS5 (unclear if the monitor doesn't support 4K/120Hz, whether PS5 will still use HDMI 2.1 mode or not).

To further complicate things, the USB-C port is DisplayPort based so that appears to support 4K60 + HDR + 4:4:4.

  • good deal

  • got a question regarding to this monitor. not sure it is faulty or as design.

tested with USBC, DP , monitor shows 4k resolution with PC and Dell laptop

connect HDMI 2 next to DP, monitor shows 4k, but when connect to HDMI 1, only FHD with 59.88Hz and text were shaking.. can't display 4k at all.

it is faulty of monitor connector?

strange thing, when connect this HDMI to apple TV 4K. no issue at all. streaming movies, looks very good.

    • OW confirmed faulty HDMI port, swap another unit.

it is even worse, same issue on HDMI 1 and screen has few flashing lines as well.

Will take it back to OW for another/final trail.

if anyone bought this, please test HDMI 1 port with 4K out put.

      • You haven't given us anywhere near enough information to diagnose.

You need to try multiple HDMI cables for a start, you're probably just trying to use an old cable in HDMI1…

        • Hi, test 3rd one on OW. same issue.

we did try multiple HDMI Version 2 cables on HDMI1 port. even bought HDMI V2 cable from JBHIFI. same thing. 1080p output and text is vibrating when open excel.

HDMI 1 is the HDMI port next to power.

Staff from OW also tested using their cables as well. same thing.

connect to HDMI 2 Port (between DP and HDMI 1) , 4k output. everything is fine. no issue on USBC port as well.

also you have to prove it in front of OW staff if it is faulty. otherwise. they would not exchange or refund. Was told that is their policy.

At the end, the store manager told me to get refund instead.

  • Bought this today at OW. Can confirm price is $297. Question, how do i achieve 3840x2160 on PC and 4k PS5? I'm currently running on AMD Radeon RX 6600 XT, windows 11

  • Dang looks like its over?

    • if you snooze you lose

  • this or S2722Q? Dell one slightly more expensive but seeing from comments here, there seems to be issues with Lenovo?

    • not had any issues with the lenovo - didn't need drivers, just plug it in & it works.

  • Long story but I have both the Dell S2722QC and the Lenovo N27p. (Dell delivered a broken used monitor as new and said replacement in 5 business days later, I needed a monitor sooner… and then I got the Dell replacement 3 days later.)

    Current observations:

    • Dell built-in speakers are louder, and probably better.

    • Dell's colour seemed to be richer or darker out of the box, but I have not adjusted colour levels of either monitor. Would be curious to see what the colour accuracy of the Lenovo is.

    • Personally preferred the placement of Lenovo ports; 1 of the Dell's USB3 ports is on bottom bezel on left hand side. I have a webcam and a backup drive plugged in, so it's not particularly neat for me. May be more relevant if you use peripherals connected by USB wireless dongles, such as the Logi Bolt connectors.

    • Personally preferred Lenovo OSD, got used to increase being on the left instead of right button fairly quickly. I work long hours and it takes 2 button presses to begin adjusting brightness and 1 to exit OSD. On the Dell, it is 3 if you don't mess up the buttons and 2 to exit OSD.

Otherwise, no significant differences noticed… Yet.

    • yes, agree that. for OSD buttons on Lenovo, you need to a bit of pressure to click it.
also, Dell can turn more when swing the monitor left or right without turning the base.

not knowing how to setup PbP and PiP on Lenovo.

Lenovo have more OSD setup menu which seems very helpful. did not try one by one.

low blue light from Lenovo works well IMO
